View Full Version : Forum Appreciation Thread

It's late and I'm up as usual (prepping for work tomorrow) and I wandered over to the DU. It made me really realize how lucky we are to have this site, a place where we can share non-tow-the-party-line opinions and support our candidate unabashedly. No one here is being forced down any path should that *other unnamed candidate* steal the nomination.

This is a place where we can talk honestly and passionately about our candidate and this primary and work together to get Hillary nominated. =)

It's great to have this place so this is a quick late night crew appreciation thread for the forum in general and for Murray. You sir, rock. TY for all you do.

--And TY to the mods as well for their efforts.

It is our big "Rational Bubble" where we can communicate our unabated love for Hillary.

The other places seem to be a big "Cone of Silence" (like in Get Smart) where no matter how loudly you scream, the other side still cannot hear you.

This is the only place I go. It is so nice to be "ob screamer" free. It is nice to be able to say I support the person, not the party, and not get called vile names.

Murray, this place is wonderful and I am very grateful!

Count me in as a Murray booster as well. I do not watch the MSM anymore and you know? My stomach feels that much better for it. I've cut way down on my roll aids intake, I sleep better and enjoy having a family of supporters like this for my information. I was so proud of myself when Hillary won Indiana. I didn't check CNN, MSNBC, FOX, ABC, nada, ziltch, zero. I just danced back and forth between Hillary's site and this one for my election news. Have to admit that on that night, I still took a roll aid or two until it was finally decided. :D:D:D

I'm not a subscriber to the theory that misery loves company, but I have to admit that I feel less crazy knowing that others are being sickened by this whole process. It assures me that I'm not the only one being affected. Something terrible is happening to our democracy when the media are in collusion with a political party in order to railroad in a particular candidate.

I wouldn't have approved of it were it the other way around. I want professional newspeople and truly democratic political parties. In the meantime, I think I'll follow your lead and keep the TV off for a while.

thanks so much for this forum...I can keep my sanity, knowing others think as I do, that Hillary SHOULD be the obvious choice. I have difficulty posting on the official site, so this and Marsh are my outlets. It is great to get some perspective in a mass of media bias and dnc autocracy.

Like so many others I had to stop watching television news and reading blog sites that were once fair. I'm disappointed that a primary election that I see as close can be characterized as so one-sided. Where do they think those almost 15 million votes for Hillary came from?

I just found this site today so at least I can keep up with like-minded people and leave the MSM to their coronation.

Thank you for this site and as others have said, please keep it going so if the unthinkable happens, we will have a place to discuss our feelings - such as defending why for the first time in almost 40 years I will pull a Republican lever in November.

Echoing the above thoughts..... after enduring so many unpleasant experiences on other blogs and message boards, this forum is a small, peaceful corner of the web to me. Not only that, the people and discussions here actually are mature and sensible. This is also the place where I check in to see what's new.... because it's often reported here first! Quite frankly, I stayed off other forums. It seems that on most of them I got the most, in the words of Donna Brazile, "uncivil, repugnant and vile" responses that it was just not worth the trouble to try and glean the tiniest spark of value in those forums or blog for Hillary. I have learned more, enjoyed it more and been more relieved since I found HillaryClintonForum.net. Thanks and hats off to you!

I admit to being somewhat "depressed". And I did not want to spread my low attitude. I have not been on here but a few times since we barely won in IN. (Actually it was a great come-from-behind victory for Hillary from a traditionally republican state.) But it was hard to take the spin that the news media had taken off with. I, too put a news blackout on myself, they were being so cruel to Hillary.

This is the only place I know where there was something positive.

I'm glad I was referred here because before that, I was constantly saying that Obama appeared to be a phony, and asking "doesn't anyone else see this?" That was before I knew of his scandals. But, I could tell from his speeches, and demeanor, that something was way off. I have seen guys like him in the business world before. They talk the talk, then crash and burn when actually put to the test of performing major tasks.

I think if Hillary can continue on then we can too on her behalf, and there is strength in numbers. The effect will compound itself exponentially, if we continue to do the work here, and in telling everyone we know about personally, recruiting new people, getting them to blog, donate, vote in the polls, write letters to people and newspapers, etc.

A thousand huzzas to Murray and an echo to Susan's comments. Have been enjoying Hawaii vacation so the only part of the DNC charade I saw was Senator Clinton's speech. To bad she had to give it in support of such a worthless candidate. She of course did a magnificent job. Back to Hawaii fun now. More next week when I am back at the pc. Ps. Joyfully turned down another telephone plea for funds today . This one from DCCC. Told them I hated Pelosi since she refused to bring impeachment proceedings against George Shrub.

Thanks for never giving up, Murray. You've been a real inspiration throughout this whole process. I love what you said in the Hillary speech thread:

It was the most inspiring part of the speech. And you could tell she said it with such deep passion & drive. PUMAs and those who oppose BO are indeed the hunted and the hated. But the pursuit of justice - in whatever context - must always reign supreme and never should those who fight for justice give in to the hatred they are exposed to from the oppressors & abusers. To give up is to hand victory to those who least deserve it.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Yes it is true...I have been a few times dismayed when my posts have been removed or changed by the moderators, since I have been a constant HRC supporter. Sometimes it feels like the forum wants to mold us into a certain theme.
However we are a diverse and wide spread group of people who support our girl and so our posts are diverse and sometimes heated - even sometimes angry. I know it is the right of the owner to keep this muted somewhat to prevent acrimony and ugliness, but I believe our differences are our strength.
In spite of these views I have, I want to thank you Murry for this wonderful, enlightened, breath of fresh air web forum where we can find kindred spirits and maybe help start the action for change.
You have kept it clean and respectful - in sharp contrast to so many other web sites I no longer visit.

let us all take a moment to thank Murray...the McCain folks were definately reading this site to see how to win our votes. If not for this space, we would not know the joy we do today. THANK YOU MURRAY!

I'm sure they were here to look and see what they could do. At least they reached out to us.

Thank you Murray for continuing this forum as we go on to vote in November. And thank you for allowing me to be a moderator here too!

who have been zapping the TROLLS with the speed of light...and not letting them spoil this joyous day for us all after all the heartache the DNC caused...to our amazing MODERATORS!

I must say, I'm glad I found this forum. Months ago, I was despairing that every Dem in the world had swallowed the Obama-Kool-Aid. Then I found this site and realized that there were still a few sane Democrats left in the party.

Thanks to Murray and the Mods.

And to paraphrase my hero, RFK: "Thanks to all of you, and now it's on to the election in November and let's win there! Thank you very much!"
