View Full Version : CNN wants Hillary to return votes she won in WV and KY!?!

This had come from CNN tonight, David Gergen and crew....they are suggesting Hillary tell them, I don't want your votes if you're racist. CNN was suggesting these two states were racist because polls taken, indicated that race mattered for 90% of them.
The point is, while I haven't listened to them in what seems like months, I listened tonight for all of 10 minutes and what I heard made me frightened for the people of Kentucky and WV. CNN are playing a very dangerous game, and they could create some very serious problems. They are turning people against one another in this country.
So do we tell all the states that were strong black, or voted against women, to have Obama give all his votes back becuase they are racist against whites, or don't like women in power?
It made me sick to hear CNN suggest Hillary denounce the voters in Kentucy and WV and give her votes back and walk out of the contest now and I really do feel we need not only to email the media, but most importantly get this message out to the people of Kentucky and WV, who should be outraged at this. CNN just called them racist and suggested their votes should not be counted. They called them rednecks, they pretty much put down Hillary's win in both these states. It was disgusting. But most importantly, they were trying to get the rest of America to hate or reject the poeple of WV, and Kentucky.
Yet, do any of these morons talk about the sexist comments, attack Hillary has endured, the lopside money, media attacks..Of course not, it's them attacking her, so why would they report themselves.
CNN tried to suggest the voters in WV and Kentucky said that race was important and did not want to vote for a black president.
I don't believe this campaign would have been like this if someone like Powell was running. He is a decent human being. Race would not have been an issue for him. People are just tired of the way Obama has conducted himself; and it was Obama who brought race into this campaign, not HIllary. No one else dare talk about it, he cries foul with everything. I believe it's one of the main reasons people are worrying. No one can say anything about anyone, with the except Obama, he can say whatever he likes about whoever he likes...it's starting to ring of dictatorship:
this pretty much sums it up:
RUSH: With Obama we started out, we couldn't talk about his big ears 'cause that made him nervous. We've gone from that to this: Not only can we not mention his ears...
We can't talk about his mother.
We can't talk about his father.
We can't talk about his grandmother unless he does, brings her up as a "typical white person."
We can't talk about his wife, can't talk about his preacher, can't talk about his terrorist friends, can't talk about his voting record, can't talk about his religion.
We can't talk about appeasement.
We can't talk about color; we can't talk about lack of color.
We can't talk about race. We can't talk about bombers and mobsters who are his friends. We can't talk about schooling. We can't talk about his name, "Hussein."
We can't talk about his lack of experience. Can't talk about his income. Can't talk about his flag pin.
This started out we can't call him a liberal.
It started out we just couldn't talk about his ears.
Now we can't say anything about him.

Which of the so called pundits said this ????
That is outrageous and should not be allowed to go unchallenged.
CNN and MSNBC have said horrible things about people in PA. - WV- and now even Kentucky.
How are these networks allowed to get away with this garbage?
They are getting totally out of control.

This is really taking the bias cake and putting the stupidity icing on it. I'm not watching the news ever again.

Don't waste your valuable time listening to their drivel! Why do it? Seriously, CNN is TOXIC for any Hillary supporter. TOXIC.
Turn the channel. NOW!
As they say, one definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. CNN has been campaigning & lying for Obama since day one. It won't be any different today, tomorrow or next week. Give up on them! I implore everyone to abandon CNN political news for your own mental well-being!!!

I understand, but I will say this. If I were WV or Kentucky today, I would be totally disgusted with CNN. I'd be complaining, calling them up and out on this. They are trying to hurt those two states. They are slandering them. This issue should be sent to the people in both states and to higher authorities.

Well, let's see. 91% of the AA vote in KY went to Obama. Guess they won't vote for a white person.
This is really bad for Obama, that they do this. It's going to take so many votes away from him, he is toast in the GE. Unelectable. The destrution has begun. More insults to Hillary and her supporters.

Their discussion is also excellent propaganda to try to sway the voters of Montana & South Dakota. Hope those voters watch Fox. But, my sense this sort of slinging is really starting to piss people off and will drive voters in droves to McCain if Obama is the nominee.

I really do feel it deserves one email to cnn, but most importantly, to the people of Kentucky and WV. They must be disgusted tonight.
Imagine attacking your own states because they didn't vote for your chosen one. How is this, how is Obama and the media bringing the country together? Shame on CNN!
If I were KY and WV, I'd be getting my political representatives and writing to CNN, getting those guys fired. They are slandering the people of WV and KY. This has to stop. What's next?

What they said is going to cause people in KY and WV to go after CNN. One of these pundits, who ended up being supported by other, just attacked everyone in both states. What impact do you feel this is going to have on these two states and the rest of America. CNN had better watch he doesn't set off a riot, rally, protest here. You can't do this and not expect a reaction, fallout.
They are going to have to apologize to the people of these two states, or I can see they could be in serious trouble, maybe a lawsuits?

Hillary: I want to tell all the voters out there not to vote based on race. You should vote on who you sincerely believe has the most knowledge and experience to run this country - and if you do I'm confident you will nominate me to be the next President of the United States!

I understand, I watched them for all of 10 minutes tonight, however, most important here, is that they have now seriously crossed the line. They are verbally attacking people in their own country - entire states in order to get someone elected. This is pretty scary stuff and it needs to be stopped.
You can't ignore this.
They could put people's lives in jeapordy. Look how upset everyone here is listening to them. While we might not listen to what's on the news these days because it's so biased, there are some people who do on a regular basis...and seriously, CNN maybe putting people's lives in danger, or on the line here. They are not only attacking Hillary here, but entire states, their own country people. If this keeps up there could be a civil war and I'm not joking.

We must now begin to create our list of reasons which the Media has been trying to brainwash us all into the Obama Show.
We need to start listing those issues. We already know about the Race Card, Sexism and Boggotry. We need to get the New York Times list of Obama's investors. I know that I posted that here some weeks ago in some form or another. But the NYT did in fact list that he has been deceptive about his donars. He has billionaires who have done fundraising among their millionaire friends.

i agree we should ignore most of what cnn says but this is going far and away from a campaign issue. these idiots are going to ignite a race war the like of which we have never seen. it would behoove us as citizens rather than hillary supporters alone, to send an email to the owners and general managers of cnn, just to voice our concern at their social irresponsibility and abuse of public access. deep in my heart i believe that wright and obama never thought they could upset the clinton cart and were just intent on bringing their black theologian beliefs from speech to reality via a race war, but then obama started winning so he threw wright under the bus in favor of being president. just a feeling. i think an uprising was their intent to begin with, and to a great extent they have dried up a fertile field and left it tinder dry and ready for the smallest spark. ( i use race here as a synonym for AA because, although we have many other races that present their own stories in America, the AA experience is unique to our country in that the ancestors brought three quarters of them here. the fact that many are later emigrants or children thereof, seems not to matter to anyone. if their skin is black, they are considered African-american. it's a cultural thing, i guess.) Obama is a dangerous person with dangerous ideals, and he stands for everything that MLK was against. Martin wanted us to see each other as people not skin colors, but black theology sees black as good, white as evil, and blacks as victims needing to be repaid, rather than equal citizens taking responsibility for their own way in the world. no one alive today was here when the original transgression took place. we cant change the past, only the future. and we cant live together if one side thinks it is owed a debt from the other that can never be paid in actuality. it is an impossible situation, much like a really bad marriage that refuses to let the past go and accept counseling to move into the future. all the work we did in the sixties, and all the joy i took from seeing the two races start treating each other with love and respect, has been washed away by obama and his campaign and beliefs. we were almost there, and then this. there will always be racists for every occasion, but to blanket two entire states voters in a democratic party election as racists because they did not vote for the AA candidate and wanted hillary is just ignorant and mindboggling from any news announcer, anywhere. we are being labeled racist on our side, but the blacks voting against a white woman are legitimate votes because they have been oppressed? i fear that how i have always considered america is rapidly changing. i thought we were well on the way to a multi racial society accepting of everyone. guess i was wrong. we are on our way to becoming the intellectual prisoners of our own political correctness. when the truth becomes a racist statement just by virtue of containing reference to one race or another in context, then we are entering a dangerous version of a modern dark age, and no, dark was not intended as a racial pun ( just an example of how speech can be twisted, and the need that will arise to modify everything in a racial undertone light). Not the country or world i want to live in or leave for my grandchildren, so i will be writing the owners as it is the only recourse, as ignoring how the trend is moving would be tantamount to ignoring the fascist movement in 1933. God, please let hillary win. It won't stop what has begun, but it will certainly help us get through it and stop the instigation on a national level that would occur if obama gets to remain in the national arena. God bless us and save us, every one!!!! Go hillary!!!!!
ps. just a quick addendum.. i noticed in reading my comment here, that i have repeatedly used their side and our side to describe the issue, unconsciously, i grant, but it is indicative of a transformation that has occurred at a basic level in my thinking. i am beginning to perceive my world as divided. the black side, the white side, the female side, the male side, and although it has always been that way concerning inanimate things such as the democratic side and the republican side, etc., it has never extended to race. now it has. i see a black side of things and a white side, rather than the person side i perceived before this campaign. so much for the great uniter, obama. how very sad. however, i will try to consciously remedy this perception, even though i believe that this perception came about because the physical reality is beginning to change and i am picking up on that. i hope i am wrong, but the facts are against my being right. goodness, social philosophy is very deep and strains my mental capacity. lol all i really wanted to do was elect hillary and get back to playing online poker in my spare time. not a social commentator in the real world of my life. lol but this side of me exists and i am very serious when i put on this cap. and as an american citizen who cares about her country, i must wear this cap until i believe my country and hillary 's legacy for it are safe. good night now and God bless. Joan.

Does the Obama Campaign, DNC, and CNN(msm) honestly think that they can continue generalizing and insulting white working class America across the country from the "bitter" comments of PA to now and expect to court these voters in a GE if Obama is the nominee?
I simply would like to know when it became alright to openly and repeatedly insult the white working class Americans who make under a certain income and maybe haven't gone to college?
This is simply unreal. And shows really how out of touch not only Obama

Amen! I emailed them for a while to ask for fairness and express outrage, but they're not worth the trouble. Such an idiotic statement. If their votes are so worthless and tainted in the opinion CNN, then they should block their damn network in those states. Also, if BO steals the nom, he needs to turn down all WV and KY votes in Gen. Plus, being from MS, I'm very aware that all AAs went for BO. That was racist, as well. Let him turn them down.

I understand how you feel, and that you don't care about what they call you, but there other people in other states, who support Obama, who may not feel the same, who will care about what they hear...the negative stories about WV and KY....and not in a good way. They are trying to turn the rest of the nation against the two states who voted an overwhelming majority for Hillary and if people feel strongly enough, as CNN are conjuring up feelings of anger and resentment towards those states, suggesting racism played a part, suggesting they were not educated, some will act. For some, no one is going to come in the way of electing their messiah...
Just as you and I don't like to watch cnn, there are those who do, 24/7 and are filled with the hate and anger they hear there. They are becoming an offshoot of Obama's church....

Excellent Post. You are right. I stopped watching CNN and MSNBC weeks ago. They are now very scared. The only thing they can do is try to use the guilt factor regarding race. Ignore them. They will loose. The majority of the population is looking at this and thinking they are nuts. Including ther Republicans. OB will not win!! He has too many skeletans in his closet. Hillary 44. Keep on praying and believing in Hillary.
I see CNN as fueling the race war, and the Obama people are buying into it. YOu don't go speaking out against two states the way they did and not expect problems ahead for those states and I see problems surfacing with race. There are a lot of Obama people who follow cnn, and I believe some buy into what they say. It doesn't take the majority of the population to create a riot, dissention, war...- and CNN mass media going into the homes of millins, saying what they said could have a very negative impact on the matter of race. It coudl get very ugly. People all over the world get CNN....

And shows really how out of touch not only Obama
is, but the msm itself.
Old Political Tricks would just work as per usual. They did not realize that Americans have been opening their eyes to all the money games because we have to eat.
Food, Food, Food.
That is what it is all about. All of those commercials for ipods and cellphones are not going to replace Food on the Table. We reached our limit as a country and we want a leader.

CNN was suggesting these two states were racist because polls taken, indicated that race mattered for 90% of them.
.
Their figures are wrong. The other networks reported that 21% voted based on race. In North Carolina, 23% voted based on race. It works both ways. Or, it works in many ways. I have seen voters interviewed that are white and like the black president idea because its different/progressive, and voted that way. Some AA refuse to vote for an AA candidate, others will only vote for an AA candidate. The exit polls are inconclusive. They don't supply enough details to draw negative racial conclusions across the board. TV pundits who try to do so are uninformed and ignorant, and are deliberately exploiting the AA community for their own personal agenda.

I don't believe those polls. The media has reached a stage where they will do anything for Obama to win that they might be lying. Given how Hillary supporters have been treated and how race is a very sensitive matter, I find it hard to believe that so many people might admit that as the reason for not voting fr Obama. Why doesn't CNN mention the other reasons for not supporting Obama?

The thing that really concerns me here, is that cnn are using the race card that Obama started when Obama suggested, he could better unite people of america because of his two races. So when it suits cnn and Obama, he's white, or black.
The serious thing that is going on here is the HATE CNN is trying to instill in the people of America who support HIllary, they are trying to turn America off WV, KY, write them off, calling them racist rednecks, while accepting NC heavy black population voting heavily for the black side of Obama. What this is doing is promoting crimes of hate; against whites, against the people in these two states and the people of WV and Kentucy and Hillary are going to need more protection. CNN are trying to create a civil war here.

iObama ... stands for everything MLK was against. Martin wanted us to see each other as people not skin colors, but black theology sees black as good, white as evil, and blacks as victims needing to be repaid, rather than equal citizens taking responsibility for their own way in the world. .... all the work we did in the sixties, and all the joy i took from seeing the two races start treating each other with love and respect, has been washed away by obama and his campaign and beliefs. we were almost there, and then this. ... we are being labeled racist on our side, but the blacks voting against a white woman are legitimate votes because they have been oppressed? guess i was wrong. we are on our way to becoming the intellectual prisoners of our own political correctness. when the truth becomes a racist statement just by virtue of containing reference to one race or another in context, then we are entering a dangerous version of a modern dark age, and no, dark was not intended as a racial pun ( just an example of how speech can be twisted, and the need that will arise to modify everything in a racial undertone light). good night now and God bless. I sent something on to CNN suggesting that one of their pundits, by claiming Hillary should not accept the votes of people from WV or Kentucky because it was inplied they were racist because they claimed in some poll the people in these states said race mattered....that by allowing that statement to air, they were instilling hate towards the people of these states, and also Hillary.
They were also contrasting the level of education between these states and Oregon, implying people in WV and Ky were not as smart, or educated, they were poor, rednecks, so they voted Hillary, whereas the educated, smart, voted Obama. That Hillary should not accept their votes. While, NC, with a heavy black population, with a mayor who was prepared to cheat in order to get Obama a win, was ok to vote mostly for Hillary, and race is not used. The pundit on CNN was attacking not only race issues in KY, and WV, but class, and education. It was disgusting.
Remember, it was Obama who brought up race in the first place suggesting he could bring together the two races better than anyone becuse he was both races, then called his grand mother a typical white person.
CNN needs to be accountable for this comment, it could create a civil war here, at the very least, create more tension for the people in these states, and HIllary and put some at risk.
This is now become racism against whites. It's an extension of Obama's church, only either cnn doesn't have enough smarts to see what they're doing, or they just want obama to win at all costs, they don't care what happens in their own country.

CNN can call what it likes, but it is clear that they are Obama channel.
66% voted Hillary and 30% voted Obama. That looks so much like they are voting for someone they prefer to be their president than 91% blacks voted Obama and 9% black voted Hillary. It doesn't matter how CNN want to slice and dice it.
If anything, CNN are racists against white.

CNN is making easy for McCain to win, by Nov "race" will be most important for people to vote. AA are just 13% less than Hispanic polpulation and they are concentrated in some states, majority of them are already red states. More this media peddle these thing stronger will be polarization. Bad for country, good for McCain. BHO is a biggest fool who had used these tricks in primary, this race issue will stick with hin for ever, he will be another Al-Sharpton.

I blame the 90's after Rodney King people started to freak out. I live in a city/suburb that is racially diverse 35% black, 45% white, 20% Hispanic... and let me tell you going to school I hear you. You had to put up a front and it happens. But I still blame society (all colors and races) for the backlash. The black people thing is getting stupid. I'm so sick of careers being ruined because everyone's so sensitive about them. MAYBE if schools wouldn't incite violence by making us all watch at least 3 slave movies during our high school career- such ANGER wouldn't boil up in black people - and 87% black Gary, Indiana wouldn't be right up there with 60% black Detroit as America's most deadly cities!!

I think CNN remarks are racist. I agree with your statement. They crossed the line.

If CNN wants to talk about race they should check out the states Obama has won and see the Black population foor each. In North Carolina, Blacks made up a third of the state. Isn't his wins about race? What surprises me is that he claims to be able to bring the races together but there is more seperation now, because of him, than there was before all this started.

Has anyone else noticed a distinct effort, by the media, to downplay the racial divide of the voting patterns now? What was once a very hot topic is now hardly mentioned at all and they are, instead, explaining Obama's losses as "cultural" and euphemisms like that. I imagine that they now want to erase any suggestion of a racial divide (never mention that 92% of AA's are voting for Obama) and categorize it differently in order to try and win the "typical white person's" vote in the GE. I guess they think we won't see through their motives.

Last night David Gergen charged that white voters voting for Hillary were racist.
He also challenged Hillary to reject these votes, and the voters.
I think he now has set himself up as the most likely to be Obama's communications guru.
We see Linda Douglas just left MSNBC for Obama's press spokesperson or something.

That shirt is SEXIST against Hillary. It ignores Obama. Is Obama getting certain votes based on racial bias? Why don't they urge Obama to reject racist votes?
CNN by virtue of its SEXIST comment, is also being RACIST when excluding Obama from the shirt.

No one at CNN will even read an e-mail or, if one does, they'll laugh it off. They are not worth the aggravation. As if a couple of in the tank pundits have the power to affect the entire country. Some will believe it and some will be horrified at the thought. And telling Hillary to reject votes is totally unrealistic and stupid. She'll reject those votes when BO rejects his.

It was David Gergen who said, the Clinton's have been involved in Civil Rights, they should stand up and tell them voters they (clinton) don't
want their vote if they are racist.........something to that effect....I do
wish someone would get that script, and post it word for word!
You can't forget what they did in SC to the Clintons, and now they want
them to do what? For whose benefit!
SCHNEIDER: Yes, that is right, they were telephone polls. There were two big reasons why Barack Obama carried the state of Oregon. One, education. Oregon Democrats have a lot of that. Those who did not go to college voted for Hillary Clinton.
But take a look at Oregon voters, the Democrats today who did go to college. They voted for Obama by a 20-point margin. And you know what? They were 78 percent of the voters in among Oregon Democrats. It is a very well-educated Democratic Party and that was the key to Obama's victory.
----------------------
BLITZER: It was very different than what we saw as far as religion is concerned, in Kentucky belt.
SCHNEIDER: A totally different religious culture, it is well educated, it is far less religion, less traditionalist in religion. And that is where Barack Obama prospered. BLITZER: All right, Bill, thanks very much. Bill is going to continue to crunch those numbers.
I'm going to walk over to Anderson Cooper right now. He has got some analysis from the best political team on television.
ANDERSON COOPER, CNN ANCHOR: Yes, we have been looking at some of the exit polls from Kentucky, in particular the issue of race. Voters who said that race was important in making their decision or is the factor in making their decision.
DAVID GERGEN, CNN SENIOR POLITICAL ANALYST: It is more disquieting news I think for Barack Obama as he looks for the general election.
COOPER: One in five I think.
GERGEN: It was about 21 percent that race was a factor. Nine out of ten of those voted for Hillary Clinton.
COOPER: And that is people that would admit it to a complete strangers taking these exit polls theoretically it would be even larger those who would not admit it.
GERGEN: And from her point of view, over a quarter of the people who voted for her today in Kentucky were people who said race was a factor in their decision. And it really means -- I mean, she's been talking about sexism in this race and she has complained about some in the last 24 hours.
You know race is really playing an increasing issue. And it also raises the question in my judgment of whether she shouldn't say, you know, if you want to vote against him because he's black, I don't want your vote. I don't want to win that way. This has no place in this primary.
COOPER: Do you see her saying that?
GERGEN: Well, she has been a champion -- she's been a champion of civil rights for a long, long time. She and her husband both have I think well-earned reputations in the civil rights front. She's never had redneck votes before in her life.
I see no reason why she couldn't take the high road here in the closing days of his campaign and try to take this on and take on the Reverend Wright issue to say, "Look, I campaigned with this fellow for 15 months. I know a lot of you people don't think he shares your values that somehow Barack thinks like Reverend Wright. Not true. I know him. I have been with him. And race should come out of this."
I think she could do a lot by taking a high road.
JEFFREY TOOBIN, CNN SENIOR LEGAL ANALYST: Hillary Clinton ought to keep in mind, I think, the long view here. She's got many more years in public life ahead of her. Taking the high road at this point, saying I don't want racists to vote for me, saying that this is about something bigger than just strategizing the last few races. I think that would stand her in very good stead.
BORGER: Very late for that. What in Montana and South Dakota?
TOOBIN: I mean, she might as well say it, because I think it would make a difference. This race has been so polarized along the issues of race and, frankly, I think most people blame her for that than they blame Obama. And to leave, if she's in fact leaving on the high road, would do a world of good.
GERGEN: She could do it on Reverend Wright. She could still take that on before she leaves this race.
_____________________________
DONNA BRAZILE, CNN CONTRIBUTOR:
Senator Obama is new to the political scene, some voters don't know him. Early on, black voters did not know him and they were backing Senator Clinton. So as voters get to know him, they're more comfortable with him. They've begun to trust him and know where he stands on the issues. I think Senator Obama will do much better have those voters.
COOPER: Do you agree with that, David?
GERGEN: Well, she may be right. And I'm not sure.
My sense, Anderson, is that the race card is being played more heavily today than it was in the beginning of the campaign. And that there is somehow now an increasing sense of the culture almost legitimizing racial comments by opponents.
I mean, there were things like this back in New Hampshire, but there were some ugly incidents in places like Pennsylvania. And Barack Obama didn't even campaign in Kentucky and West Virginia in part because I think he faced some of these barriers.
I do think that racism is starting to rear its head in ways we haven't seen in the campaign. I think it's important to take it on. And I think it's important for the Democratic Party to take it on.
You know, race has been a big issue in our politics through our whole history. And we're seeing it play out in some parts of the country. This is not a racist country. I do think these are pockets of racism, but I think it's there and it's -- if it casts a shadow over this race, it's going to be really tragic in many ways.
COOPER: Paul Begala, David Gergen was suggesting Hillary Clinton address it head on, saying if folks are voting for me because they do not want to vote for a African-American candidate, I don't want their vote.
PAUL BEGALA, CLINTON SUPPORTER: I think perhaps David's advice to talk about Reverend Wright or other things that maybe some voters are using it as a proxy for race probably a better thing. Barack Obama, as the African-American in the race, gave an important speech in Philadelphia at the National Constitution Center where he took race on directly.

Have you read the CNN thread and seen the comment by their 'panel' last night?

* Many African-Americans (not all, but many) have voted for BO simply because he is "black" - votes fueled by race/solidarity/racism
* Many men (not all, but many) have voted for BO simply because is a "man" - votes fueled by sexism
Therefore (using CNN's logic):
* BO should have to reject all of the above votes...

The simple truth:
Tiny Kentucky and West Virginia gave Hillary a net gain of 400,000 votes. 400,000!! They HATE that, and because of it, she will now win the popular vote (most likely). They know if she wins the pop vote - she's the choice of the people, and it would be hard to ignore that.
Let's see...what OTHER states have given/will give Hillary the popular vote:
Michigan: "Shouldn't count - name not on the ballot."
Florida: "They didn't know BO...he couldn't campaign."
West Virginia: "She shouldn't accept racist votes!!"
Kentucky: Same as WV
Puerto Rico: "It's..not really a state...should their votes REALLY count in the popular vote?"
Those 5 states/territories are an integral part of her winning the popular vote at this point, and they are doing everything they can to stop it. Kentucky and West Virginia performed their part well....Michigan and Florida's fate hangs with the DNC...and Puerto Rico is next.

I agree, but in the meantime, the media are doing irreperrable damage, turning state against state, man against woman, black against white and white against black.
When you start to condem or demonize states in your own country that don't agree with you and worship the states that follow your thinking, and make them god like, it cuts deep and it risks angering a lot of people. There will be more people uniting with Kentucky and WV. Those two states are going to stand up and fight against Obama and they're going to bring more people with them. . CNN insulted these two states and lifted up the black states, or anyone who supports Obama. This is not only biased, it shows favoritism, it borders on threatening, and coercion.
CNN should be held accountable. You have to bet that many in these two states as well as those outside those states who dont' support Obama will be angry with CNN, with what is being suggested, their implications, and what they are doing.
There could be very serious consequences here -this has the potential to and could get much bigger.

This had come from CNN tonight, David Gergen and crew....they are suggesting Hillary tell them, I don't want your votes if you're racist. CNN was suggesting these two states were racist because polls taken, indicated that race mattered for 90% of them.

As you've said, this is serious. The media is turning the perceived race issue into a potentially very inflammatory issue. Then Obama should give back the AA vote. They're voting based on race.

Yes, I feel this a very serious issue; cnn is pitting state against state, showing favouristims, making horrific remarks about WV and Kentucky becase they supported HIllary and yet, what does he do with states that have a heavy black population and support Obama, or are ready to cheat for Obama. I heard Gergen's remarks too and was really insulted. I wouldn't vote for an inexperienced empty suit, stuffed shirt, and blank screen with absolutely no qualifications to be President if he were white. Why would I do that just because the candidate is black.
What I want to know is when the image of Obama on the internet will be the same image presented to us in the msm. They go on and on as if there is nothing wrong with this guy. They have to know what's out there and I believe it's criminal not to fully inform the public about who they are voting for. If the public knows the real Obama like we do and they still want to vote for him, so be it.
The question to Gergen should be about sexism, racism. Why would Obama supporters want to vote for an inexperienced MAN over an experienced Woman.

We should all email CNN constantly saying:
"OBAMA SHOULD REJECT VOTES FROM ALL SEXISTS! How come no one's asked him to do that?"
I suggest writing to Anderson Cooper 360 -- it was on his watch this comment was said last night. Search google for the contact info.

Let's see--if Hillary should negate the votes she earned in WV and KY, then Obama should do the same in NC, and all the cities with predominantly black populations.
Ordinarily, I'd ignore a chauvinist like you, but those days of denial are over.
I smell a rat over at CNN--in fact, an infestation is more like it.

That shirt is very dangerous. As I already stated, it's SEXIST against Hillary, and its Bigoted in its accusation. It exploits the AA community to wage a negative campaign against HIllary.
Somehow, that shirt appears to incite hate mongering, or hate criminality.
Now one BIG problem here too is that when msnbc and other networks talked to pro-Hillary pundits about the KY exit poll results, (that 21% vote based on race figure)...NONE of the pundits knew how to answer the accusation of racism or how to keep Hillary from blame. The pundits should have immediately brought up North Carolina and those stats. But because they didn't, and now the msm is taking advantage of it.

What kind of shirts are women around the country going to design about CNN?
hhhmmmm? :)
There needs to a national shirt addressing this. Just my 2 cents....

As with most abusers, their power comes from the REACTION they get from you. Do not give them the power. Your power is to NOT turn them on. From what I hear they sound like they are self destructing! Haaaaaaaaaa! If obama, the uniter, can't have his way, he can use the media to start a race war. Don't participate. He will be his own undoing in the end. Evil eventually consumes itself.

If we do not react, CNN creates problems for Kentucky and WV and Hillary from the Obama supporters who do and will watch their broadcasts. Doing nothing is not going to help anything here. I had not watched CNN in a long time, and didn't have it on long, but it rattled me, and for any Obama supporters, for the people of Oregon who now have been given superior status to that of the people of KY and WV, who were written off, this will mean something. It's how we react that will be important and will matter. Doing nothing gives them power. Look, no one did much with Germany for years when Hitler was in power, they ignored - avoided him - didn't believe he would do as promised and that gave him power, it's when everyone united and fought against him that Hitler's regime ended. We must confront the issues, but wisely - not waste effort or time on those who would support someone like Gergen who encourages the nation to repel 2 states who voted against his candidate. We must take this to a very high level.
Who in the media might do something to assist with this issue. I feel it is a serious one. It is underhanded, it is disturbing. Gergen fuelled the fire of hatred against WV, and KY and Hillary. He talked about the people of Oregon - casting them as a great example, as he did the candidate OB. He called the people of WV and KY uneducated, racist rednecks and that Hillary should not accept their vote. ( it would be ok to accept their vote if that had been Obama, he would have supported them the two states and Obama) Because these two states, strongly did not vote Obama, and voted strongly against him, he is trying to turn the rest of the nation against all 3, WV, KY and Hillary. He is trying to diminish Hillary's votes. He talks about the people of these states, but what about Gergen. Does he somehow feel education, wealth makes him an authority, right, a better person?
I took some time to research Gergen, hadn't known a lot about him prior, I think the thing is, that many don't, many of the Obama supporters now watching him may take him at face value, particularly because he's supporting and championing their cause....but what's in it for Gergen? Has he been promised a position by the Obama camp? Let's try and connect the dots.

David Gergen admits being "A Happy Member of Bohemian Grove."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bohemian_Grove
David Gergen is a political consultant and presidential advisor during the Republican administrations of Nixon, Ford, and Reagan. While remaining a Republican he also served as an advisor to Bill Clinton. He is a member of the Bohemian Grove. In the Alex Jones film "Martial Law - 9/11: Rise of the Police State", Alex confronts Gergen about his involvement in the occult ceremonies undertaken at the infamous Bohemian Grove. His reaction goes from amused to fearful to angry as Jones presses him about his participation in the "Cremation of Care" ritual. This is one greatest interviews of all time by Alex Jones. Classic!

Later in the segment on CNN’s "Newsroom" between Tony Harris, David Gergen, and Roland Martin after the Reverend Jeremiah Wright speech at the National Press Club (which Mark Finkelstein blogged about earlier), Gergen suggested that "it’s time for him [Rev. Wright] to get off the stage, and frankly, for the media, I suggest, to move on." He also twice characterized the whole affair as a "sideshow" [audio available here].Shortly after a commercial break which came in the middle of the discussion, Gergen, in response to a question from "Newsroom" co-host Tony Harris, said of Rev. Wright, "Every time he appears,...

The Power of One (Gergen on Bush)

GUEST OP-ED CONTRIBUTOR Washington Give the man his due: George W. Bush is emerging as one of the boldest, most audacious presidents in modern history. Whether he is also wise is a question that will preoccupy us for another four years, but the reshuffling of his team in recent days makes clear that he intends to stretch the powers of his office to their limits. Woodrow Wilson once wrote that "the president is at liberty, both in law and conscience, to be as big a man as he can.'' President Bush comes Texas-sized. By sending members of his White House...
Presidents of the past would also sympathize with Mr. Bush's desire to quell rebellious voices at the State Department and the Central Intelligence Agency. For more than half a century, White Houses have resounded with complaints about the striped pants set at Foggy Bottom and renegades at Langley. Foreign service officers are especially out of step with the incumbent president: a rising star in foreign service confided a week ago that on a scale of 0-to-10, colleagues in the service would give a 9.5 grade to Colin Powell and a grade of 2 to the Bush administration. Bringing the foreign service on board will be one of the toughest challenges facing Secretary Rice.

Gergen's talents as a politician. Close associates say he is % "constantly pulse taking" -- measuring the attitudes of his co-workers, his allies and the country. Gergen's fans say this habit helps explain his ability to move easily in a wide circle of public figures, policymakers and journalists. His detractors say it has led him to switch alliances with alarming expedience.
While Gergen, 51, is regarded in Republican circles as an expert communicator and strategist, he is also known to be disorganized, undisciplined and often tardy -- characteristics he shares with his new boss. "If they are looking for a good analyst," said a Reagan White House veteran, "they have found one. But this is not someone who can make the trains run on time."
Hired to reposition Clinton as a centrist, Gergen has his work cut out. But his influence is likely to expand quickly in the coming weeks, if only because Gergen is the sole White House official with previous West Wing experience. How long his devotion to Clinton will last is another question.

David Gergen said that [the Administration] has been less than
Advertisements [?]honest with the American people on how things are going in Iraq.
Oh reeeeeeeally? (No Shit, Sherlock).
Come on, Gergen. Spill your guts and call them what they are: "Liars."
less than honest = dishonest
cowardly words
Gergen can go fly a kite, he's acting all 'fair and balanced' now that the ship appears to be sinking but I remember well his supportive excited words for bush's selection and the home invasion of Iraq.

Why even Obama supporters didn't like him, because they say he acts, lies to the public, now suddenly, they do. They are making references now in support of Gergen, all over the internet, and supporting Gergen's campaign to damage Hillary and alienate the two states WV, KY. Wonder, what is Obama paying him?

That aside, it's clear Gergen is damaging the country, turning the nation against 2 states, trying to punish these states. Something needs to be done. Gergen needs to be exposed.

What can we do? Are there any attorneys in the forum who can give advice? How would we go about bringing a lawsuit against Gergen and/or CNN? I am sick of this and I am serious in my request.

92% Obama, *8% Clinton, AAs racist?
For some strange reason, it is only racist when whites say it.
I see the double standard applied and it angers me. It works both ways.

I'm having this discussion there with a bo supporter named briannyc ... he's an ******* who won't back if it's a woman who gives her opinions/comments .. earlier in the evening, 2 guys slapped him down good & he wouldn't comment, just changed the subject, lol
I'm from Ky & yes, I know there are people who are racist .... most it's not the color of your skin .. from my experience in working 30 years in retail .. it's the person & how they portray themselves that shows who they are ..
If ya work hard & cause no problems, people will respect you .. at least that's how I've witnessed things all my life here ... but then, maybe I didn't understand what I was talking about .. I'm one of those who never went to college ...
yeah right! lol

Amblush, I live in Western NY, but my mother's family is in KY (Allen Co.) and TN (Sumner Co). I lived there for a short time as a kid and spent my summers there. The cousins are all college educated, as are their children and their grandchildren (the cousins are a bit older than I because my mother was the youngest of 8). They are not rednecks. I can tell you that, without a doubt, they are no more racist than anyone else in any other area of this country. They are middle-class Americans. They work hard. They pay their taxes and their bills. For anyone to make a general statement that voting for Hillary is racist is absolutely ridiculous. To select WV and KY because of the mistaken perception that they are all, for want of better terms, hillbillies and rednecks is about as prejudiced as one can be. And, certainly, they are no more racist than an AA who votes for BO because of the color of his skin. Racist attitudes don't just come in the color white.

Oh, I see...
CNN wants Obama to return the North Carolina votes because he and Michelle campaigned on racism specifically to appeal to the black voter base.
Very nice of them to call them on it... I knew CNN can recognize it for what it is. In fact, about time too. ;)
I dont recall seeing Hillary campaigning on race grounds.... anywhere! In fact, I still see Hillary treating every person with RESPECT and DIGNITY, without bringing any racism nor racist undertones to the campaign.
Hillary, Thank you.. In fact, this is one of the big reasons why I support you. We will help you collect the North Carolina votes in November :) but we will not bus people in, nor create a non-existent 41st floor in some apartment and hoodwink the system to get you elected.
We stand with you, Hillary Clinton, WITH HONOR AND DIGNITY, WORTHY OF RESPECT.
