uninsured (and my freelance status has me falling through just about any net you can think of; no one in Congress thinks to consider us when making laws)
*highlight of career: copy editor on Gov. James McGreevey's Confession. What an experience! Had to sign confidentiality agreement and stay mum for two months. Oh no, you ditn't! Say what you will, but I love Jim McGreevey. Like me, he's not perfect and I don't condone deceit, but I really understand how it all spiraled out of control and how Catholic school affected him (wanted to be good, gay wasn't good back then, suppressed authentic self--now, to me, that' sad). Saw Dina Matos-McGreevey on Larry King last night; she's bouncing back and letting her anger turn into compassion

I am an 82 year old retired RN, widow and registered Democrat for ALL my life. I live in rural Ohio on two acres in a house my spouse and I built in the 50s.
Retired to take care of my spouse with Alzheimer disease. I emailed Hillary in 2002/2003 about respite care for home care givers. You will note this was addressed by Hillary.
However I have watched Hillary in her public life over the years and admire her grit and intelligence.....her 'can do' abilities.
That is why for the first time in my life I am volunteering, contributing and phoning for her nomination.
I have spent six to eight hours a day at times calling using the free system and last night several hours using my own cell phone. I have plenty of minutes and will continue to serve this cause.

50 yrs, 3 days. Female, Union, Kentucky. BA -- Northern Kentucky University; Management Certificate -- Georgia Tech. My husband gave me "A Woman In Charge" for my birthday. 500+ pages of pure Hillary! I gave Hillary another $50 in honor of myself.
I am honored to be in the company of all of you. I am particularly thrilled to see people from our upcoming states. I worked in the Cincinnati office for 6 days and it was terrific! I'm looking forward to working in Indiana, Kentucky and maybe even Pennsylvania as well!
I am fortunate enough to have a degree but I have known and worked with many who, for whatever reason did not. With their own gifts, skills, etc., they could easily put me to shame. My point: I think the implication that Hillary's "lower income, less educated" voters are somehow not "on the ball" is just RUDE! I think we have proven that regardless of our education level we are SMART ENOUGH TO VOTE FOR HILLARY!

Thank you for those fine words, fellow Kentucky woman!
I, too, am honored to be on this forum among Hillary Clinton supporters. I've a BA in English from Eastern Kentucky University, and though I haven't worked in any of the other states yet for Hillary, I've blogged my little heart out for her, and I'm still donating! I hope to work on the ground for her in Kentucky. Also, you are so right; we're all smart enough to vote for Hillary!
"Just look behind us and see which gender led us to our great and urgent need for Hillary to be elected as our president today!"
Those words are dedicated to all those people who have labeled Hillary as a whiner, a racist, a liar, and inexperienced. They will live to eat their words!

New member! I'm so happy to have found this forum. (I found it indirectly through either the campaign site or Taylor Marsh, I can't remember.) I love looking through this thread and seeing the diversity of Hill's supporters. I'm going to contribute toward the March 31st goal. Just think, if we did make it, and everyone had added on $0.44 to their contribution, all those "symbolic" $0.44's will add up to $1100!

I just wanted to point out that I have a BA degree from the same College(Canisius College) where Hillary fainted at!
I WANT TO HEAR MORE ABOUT THIS! I WENT TO TOLEDO OHIO ON 3/3 WHEN SENATOR CLINTON CAMPAIGNED THERE. SHE STOPPED HER SPEECH AND OFFERED A BOTTLE OF WATER TO A YOUNG WOMAN WHO FAINTED IN THE CROWD. I HAVE BEEN AMAZED AT SENATOR CLINTON'S STAMINA, POISE, DIGNITY AND SHEER WILL POWER. SHE IS PETITE..SHORTER THAN WHAT I HAD THOUGHT. I WOULD SAY SHE IS ABOUT 5' 3" OR SO. SHE IS ONE POWER HOUSE OF ENERGY! I WOULD LOVE TO GO TO DETROIT IN THE MORNING TO SUPPORT HER, BUT I DID NOT GET THE E-MAIL THAT SHE WAS GOING TO BE IN THE STATE TILL LATE THIS EVENING. IT IS 4 A.M. HERE NOW AND I WOULD HAVE TO LEAVE IN A COUPLE OF HOURS TO GET THERE...HUMMMM DO I REALLY NEED ANY SLEEP TONIGHT?:cool:

This is wonderful! I love these posts! I may have to take a road trip to Kentucky in a few weeks to help out my native state before my friends and family go to the polls! :D I too, graduated from EKU and donate on a regular basis, make phone calls, and went to Toledo on 3/3 to campaign before the Ohio primary. Let's face it gals, with these Kentucky women behind her, how can our candidate not go back to the White House for the next four years, maybe eight! I have a bumper sticker on one window of my car....
"LESS BUSH...MORE TREES". In the other window is my HILLARY sticker!

MAN, 66, from Downstate Illinois.
As the title states, I'm signing up here, (after reading this site for quite a while) in hopes of finding a place where rational opinion about politics isn't shouted down by fanatical one-sidedness.
I posted comments on Huffpo since the very beginning of their site, and never used abusive language or the like, but a few days ago was brought down and banned by the forces that have taken over that site.
If you check my nickname (johnsnakecusak) on Google, you'll find that I have a long history of reasoned comment, but the fact that I am an ardent Hillary supporter would just not stand with the Obama fans there. So here i am! :)
