I just sent the following to Nancy Pelosi at http://speaker.house.gov/contact/.
She REALLY made me angry  with her comments today (can you tell?). In case you don’t know what I’m talking about, here’s the article: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/03/11/pelosi-joint-ticket-impossible/
Madame Speaker -
Many of us felt such excitement when you became the first woman to be Speaker of the House. But you immediately let us down by declaring that talks of impeachment of Bush and/or Cheney were "off the table”, letting us know that you are not willing to stand up and fight for what's right on behalf of the American people.
Today, you disappointed us again with your comments about a "joint ticket" of Clinton and Obama, misconstruing the words of Senator Clinton. You, in effect, attacked a strong woman for pointing out the obvious (Obama is not yet qualified), and for being a fighter.
Considering how you have allowed Republicans (and men) to walk all over you as Speaker of the House, I hardly think you are in a position to critique the campaign of Senator Hillary Clinton.
Maybe you need to consider keeping your mouth shut? :p

Oh great, just what we didn't need. The Speaker of the House going against her! I hope what she meant was that should Clinton get the nomination, don't assume Nobama's going to be asked because it's not a dream ticket. And it's not. It would be a nightmare ticket. Clinton cannot have him as a VP -- that would be like Caesar asking Brutus to watch his back.

Oh great, just what we didn't need. Hillary's former sister-in-law going against her! I hope what she meant was that should Clinton get the nomination, don't assume Nobama's going to be asked because it's not a dream ticket. And it's not. It would be a nightmare ticket. Clinton cannot have him as a VP -- that would be like Caesar asking Brutus to watch his back.
I think you're thinking of Barbara Boxer as being Hillary's in-law. Her daughter married Hillary's brother . . .

I am also disappointed in Nancy Pelosi.
Yes, we all need to write her...
Of course, there are many others I am also disappointed in---Chris Dodd, John Kerry, Ted Kennedy. I guess I don't need to go on.

Yes I know. But a large majority of those who are come from California! Both of our Senators are women as is my rep in Congress. Now if, come November, my President is a woman, all will be right with the world. :O)

I cannot see how there could ever be a dream ticket of Clinton/Obama. I've never known it to happen in the past, two people of the same party running against one another and then later teaming up to be President and VP. Not likely and maybe not smart either. Actually, I believe it could even be dangerous for them in this case. As for Pelosi and Ferrera, they're pretty much on the money in that respect. ( It could be that Pelosi may be a bit jealous of Hillary, what do you think?) I think they're both just being realists about the situation and stating their own individual opinions on the matter. After all, they have an inside track, don't they? But it doesn't matter either way. I'm for Hillary no matter what. But it does make me wonder who the VP choice will be. :D

I was disappointed in Pelosi from the start, when she said that impeachment for Bush and Cheney was "Off the table". I don't understand, because I thought she was about being scrappy and not buckling under...and now, it looks like she's drinking the same kool-aid as the other Obamamaniacs.

Yes, and I too have already written to Nancy Pelosi-felt the same way about the excitement of her becomeing Speaker of the House truly believing it would be different and of course NOT she wants her job too. I have also written to Kennedy, Kerry, Daschle and Dodd and Dean -it is more than disturbing and I told them THEY ARE THE ONES WHO HAVE RIPPED THE PARTY APART or at LEAST SHAKEN it UP and their SEXISM and JEALOUSY has to be what is behind this because it is unfathomable they could HONESTLY (then that might be the problem...) support BO with such poor qualifications if any and now the minister problem? what are they trying to do to the AMERICAN PEOPLE? all of us... splitting us or separating us anymore than we already are is disturbing and they were willing to do this... I can hardly imagine how HILLARY does this... SHE REALLY IS A GREAT WOMAN ... enjoyed the Anna Quinlin article...
WE NEED TO SEND LETTERS and NOT VOTE FOR THEM NEXT TIME...
GO HILLARY ALL THE WAY TO THE WHITE HOUSE!

She is indeed because by the time she gets the nomination and wins the election-we can only hope that msnbc, cnn and fox and the other nbc etc... and their 'reality opinionists' will be replaced by the younger generation they have been so glowing about and then all the candidates and O who thought it was their duty to disparaged HRC or build up BO with untruths of readiness or find ways of crying "wolf" when none was there WILL BE MOVING ON TOO... without sponsors they cannot go on... and THAT WILL HELP the environment too!!! GO HILLARY ... LET's get PA by 85% and then she keeps all the delegates!!!!:D

I personally was most hurt by Ted Kennedy's campaigning for Obama:eek::eek:. How can somebody who knows Hillary did the research for the same special education law which he introduced then decide that she is not qualified to be president? If anything, she fits his legacy MORE closely.
I was certain that she would recieve the endorsement. So much so that I had been willing to bet friends and family on it.
Granted, I don't personally know the guy, but I had studied his legislative background. It also deals with health and human services issues---the same area Hillary's made her name in.
So, this the part which feels like a nasty sci-fi horror movie:eek::confused:. Usually Ted etc are the ones safe guarding the country against incompetence. But this time they've fallen prey to it.

Dear The Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi:
I have recently found your comments offensive. In particular, the comments regarding "Clinton/Obama ticket will never happen" as well as "the delegate race vs the popular votes". I prefer the Democratic Party choose the best candidate who would win in the general election based on their best judgement and strategies. And, publically expressing opinions which interfere with voters' decision at this time is extremely inappropriate and unforgivable. Please reconsider at what is best for the people and the best strategies to win the general election rather than abide by the rules.
Lastly, my first preference is Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton. Since I am an indepedent this year, my second preference would be Sen. John McCain.
Sincerely,
Joe

Nancy Palosi is an idiot she is pathetically jealous of our Hillary.
I always knew Nancy is moron and now she has proven it. She should be ashamed of herself by criticising Hillary...I think she should be impeached.

Guys
I wrote to Nancy Palosi as well and showed her a true mirror for not standing up for a fellow great woman, Hillary.
Hillary is not just a presidential candidate, she is a phenomena, she is a constitution, she is an institution in herself, she is a world class leader and leader like her are born in generations.

Speaker Pelosi-
You are supposed to be neutral and encouraging of all democratic candidates?! Your statement regarding a Clinton/Obama or Obama/Clinton ticket as being impossible is out of step with your role in neutrality. Even more disappointing is the blame you place on Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton for why you see the Dream Ticket as an impossibility. Your statements are just plain RECKLESS!
Thanks, tcbwriter, for providing the link for us!
P.S. When I read this story on CNN.com yesterday I gasped so loudly that my co-worker became startled and asked what had happened. There have been numerous twists and turns in this campaign but none more shocking than this thinly-veiled Pelosi endorsement of FLUFF!

She is a long time Obama supporter and will use anything to help him become the nominee! But anything can happen. We don't know about Rezko's trial since it just started. Obama has been able to keep things except Wright quiet! We just have to keep digging and blogging it out there!

Great news this morning. It was reported that Hillary's wealthy supporters sent a letter to Nasty Nancy Peolosi and told her to recant her statement concerning the superdelegates. That it would appear that Nasty Nancy was favoring the candidate BHO...I am so glad that Hillary's supporters are now standing up for her and being vocal. Thank God for James Carville. I think his courage to stand and not give in spurred the masses. We can all do the same. I am sending snail mail to Nasty Nancy and the DNC O-Crew and let them know that this voter is not drinking their kObamaide.
Also, go to MSNBC and let them know about their unfavorable poll against Hillary and favoring O-him again.

I would encourage everyone on this forum to do exactly as you. Sit down, grab pen and paper (best option) or use your favortie Word Processor to actually write a paper memo to Pelosi (or whoever's attention you want to get). I work with people that have held positions in political offices like hers, the people who read the mail for the politician generally toss out emails and form letters (which is what is generated primarily from internet dialog such as this), regardless of whether it is personal and legitimate.
I was told as an aside (not relating to this election) that if you REALLY want to get a politicians attention, you send a hand-written letter (snail-mail) to the candidate. The extra effort that takes to write, sign, stamp and mail a REAL letter gets you past the screeners and your letter might even make it to the "priority" stack.
What is missing from many calls for action I've seen (and no I'm not volunteering) is for someone to organize a non-formletter campaign of personal hand-written notes to targeted people (like Pelosi). No suggested verbage or anything like that, but real personal messages.
Nancy Pelosi is an Obama supporter - it so darn obvious.
None of these DNC leaders have an OUNCE of objectivity.
They are biased, unethical, shameless and irresponsible - just like the man they are COLLUDING with.

This is an ongoing problem for women in America. We can't really count on men to help us get anywhere. And in the end we can't really count on each other either. Look at all the women on tv who are for Obama and not for Clinton. Men support each other no matter what, just look at Richardson and Obama, but women have never supported each other in the same way. It's almost like all those women are just jealous of Hillary. Why should she get to be the first female President and not little ole me.
It's unfortunate but true. So, how do we go forth knowing the the blocks are stacked against us/Hillary?
I am also disappointed in Nancy Pelosi.
