What does he want to have happen? Is Hillary supposed to go after Ferraro with a chain saw?

I'm not even interested in reading such diatribe...yawn...

Should we even be giving voice to this nonsense? Is it constructive?

Giving attention to this kind of nonsense serves only to give it a degree of power it doesn't deserve. Haters needed to be silenced, not promoted.

You know if you compare this to what Obama's advisors said last week about Hillary and were forced to step down, you'd see plain and clear the media bias. They are in an UPROAR over Ferraro's comments, giving it so much air time, but Rice's comments last week were mentioned very briefly.

It's disgusting what they've done.

THIS is disturbing and to think he is getting paid for this ... some one else blogged about not supporting the sponsors of this show and others does anyone know his sponsors? I feel strongly about boycotting MSNBC's sponsors and writing them to say so-He is vile with his assaults -maybe I am missing it but I am not seeing the venom in what Geraldine Ferraro said also a Black news opinionist noted that the fact of the matter is in this race we cannot talk about race and he explained the if BO becomes the nominee this is going to be a big problem for JmcC to, however, SEXISM is allowed over and over and over again and again and again... WE NEED TO MAKE THIS WORK for HIllary!

I agree with you, Murray. We need to stop watching MSNBC, and all the others, as far as I'm concerned. People should be picketing their studios (NBC at 30 Rock). What we don't need is to proliferate their horrible, biased words. There viewing numbers need to sink.

Exactly. I didn't read it. Have no interest in reading it. And have reservations as to wheter we should be even giving ANY attention to such vile hatred.

This is what I posted to Keith:

It's a sorry state of affairs in this country that we can't talk openly about observations of blacks, whites, asians, latinos, etc. in the context of observation of events and realities.

Observing what Geraldine Ferraro has, I'd say I pretty much have to agree with her. She isn't racist and I am not either.

Being racist would be calling Obama and his race (don't forget he's half white) obscenities and saying he/they are inferior--things like that.

Political correctness in this country has gone so far over the precipice that open and intellectual dialog cannot exist.

We have to hide from our truths and observations, especially if they involve *gasp* mentioning someone's race or skin color.

The pendulum has swung too far the other way and it is at our peril that we ignore these facts.

Boycott the media. This man is a "Hitler" in sheep's clothing. The media is only doing this because Hillary is a woman. The only racist in this primary is Obama. Complain to the administrative offices and then do positive things to help Hillary's campaign. Donate, make calls and keep providing proof that Hillary is the only legitimate candidate in this race.

This stuff is going to backfire and when it does he will be lucky if he retains his senate seat.

Thanks for being here all of you Hillary supporters. Let's stick together. When you see a fellow Hillary supporters let them know it, we're getting a rash of crap right now and it is important that we stick together and multiply.

Excellent response!
I think it is important to get pro-Hillary comments out there in the main media. remember how shocked the media was when Hillary raised $35 million. It was like the media had no idea that she has so many supporters! Especially in comparison that the Obama camp is so vocal. It might just give the media a little pause if they start to get pro Hillary feedback everytime they take a cheap shot at Sen Clinton. I guess my goal is to make those "cheap shots" not so cheap anymore!

It's just weird. This morning, cnn had a black journalist from the washington times, and another journalist (female caucasian) and the guy from washington times said it wasn't a big deal what she said IF people read it in its proper context!! I thought it was all done for today after that, and now I saw this and I am so hurt. I can't believe this is happening. No one in the media "lost it" when Michelle Obama made derogatory comments about Hillary, no one "lost it" when samantha power called hillary a "monster" and said she was "desperate". No one "lost it" when Jesse Jackson Jr. got on TV and said Hillary's tears "need to be examined and analyzed" because she is only crying about her campaign. No one "lost it" when obama's surrogates fueled the fire and race-baited in South Carolina over Bill's comments. I even hear blacks now say horrible things about Bill and that he "did nothing" for blacks.
In my worst nightmare, I never thought that an african american candidate and a female candidate in the race for the presidency would cause our country to "split" instead of unite. And, I never thought it would be the media that would do us in. They have created a situation from which who knows we can survive. Olberman's comments were the most divisive comments I have ever heard in this race thus far - and he's not on any campaign (supposedly) - he's our "alleged" left wing media. I don't even want to know what they're saying on progressive radio. I'm sure it's more of the same. Usually, I'm the one that's so optimistic, but I'm so hurt and disappointed right now.

I agree. There needs to be some way to level this playing field. I do think it's a good idea to give Kieth the cretin as little focus as possible. We need to make our objections known in the only way that will make a difference to him and to MSNBC - their bank account. Let's boycott products from sponsors of his show.

That's been stinking up the channels and airwaves for quite awhile now. I don't watch either of these stations (CNN or MSNBC). I can't even remember what Keith looks like anymore. I'm lucky I guess. How outrageous! I read some of what he had said to my husband and he also thinks he's an a**hole. I hope something gets done about this.

MSNBC is The Obama Love Network!

must admit...i saw his seemingly unending speech...and i was thinking the same things...the guy just babbled on and on...it was so poorly done, it was almost funny in an obscene way.

the only thing missing for this clown was the clown music...que up the band...BA BOOP BOOP...BA BOOP BOOP...you get the picture...

it was as phony as Obama is...fitting...obviously rehearsed numerous times...but that didn`t help any...and those different camara angles for dramatic effect...WOW!...WHAT A WASTE!...this guy couldn`t act if his life depended on it...and, imo, dramatic acting is exactly what he was trying to do...failed miserably at it i must say...what a Looser!...the acting didn`t work...the dramatic effects/camera angles didn`t work...and he should be out of work...to go on and on...sounding at times like he was actually begging the Clintons to get new advisors, etc...just simply pathetic...anyone could say what it took him a seemingly endless amount of time to say just like this:

"Hillary...your advisors have made mistakes...pleeeeeaase get new advisors...stop playing the race card...even casually...whether you mean to or not, some are interpreting it that way...also apologize and distance yourself from Ferraro!"

that`s it!...all misguided and off the mark...as well as arrogantly stated as his leader, Barack H., would ...bet his leader, Barack H., would be quite proud of him!...

someone ought to tell Oberclown that Obama advisors have also made mistakes, have played the race card by suggesting that Ferraro`s a racist and should apologize, etc...btw, a ridiculous notion according to almost every person who commented on both FOX and CNN...including Obama supporters...as Ferraro said then, she`s the one who deserves an apology from Obama...moving on, Hillary has NOT been playing the race card in any way and she`s already distanced far away from Ferraro who`s only 1 of 100`s on the campaign finance committee...oh, and btw, since this IGNORANT CLOWN, Oberman, missed it, Hillary did apologize for Ferraro`s comments as well as for Bill`s in SC!..an apology still unreported by the press...which can only help her...

other than this, i also found myself thinking, "Hey Moron...if Hillary wanted your Pinhead, over-stated, useless and arrogant advice, she would have asked for it!...so shut the Hell up before you stick your foot even further down your throat than you have already!...You BIG Clown, You!", (actually used other words which i can`t repeat in this public forum...)

Although my first reaction was the same as yours, Murray, I'm concerned that our silence on these issues are only helping them. The Obamites and the hatemongers are not silent. They are everywhere.

When these people use the bully pulpit (that we allow them to have) to espouse their bias it's just wrong. But worst of all, there are too many Americans who are too lazy to find out what the real truth is. I can't tell you how many people have quoted headlines to me and even when I give them the facts they refuse to back down. Hey, they heard it on TV or saw it on the front page of a newspaper, it has to be true!

In other threads, I've asked you all to join me in contacting the President of NBC and the editor of MSNBC, along with Media Matters. Here's the contact information again, in case you missed it.

I also copied the managing editor of MSNBC and Media Matters

Dear Mr. Capus,

I stopped watching MSNBC a month ago, with the exception of Dan Abrams show, because I could no longer stomach the blatant sexism expressed my most of your commentators and that includes, unfortunately, several women. In fact, for the past year the only show I have watched was Countdown with Keith Olbermann and when I saw him join in the persistent attacks on all things Clinton and then turn his entire show not just into an anti-Hillary campaign but a propaganda outlet for the Obama campaign, I quit.

Last night, several outraged friends called or emailed me about Olbermann’s “Special Comments” with respect to Geraldine Ferraro’s recent remarks, and the Clinton campaign; I decided I better hear it for myself so viewed it on thee MSNBC website. I had to force myself to watch until the end. I wanted to vomit. That was the worst display of unconcealed bias I have ever witnessed!

How anyone could turn Geraldine Ferraro’s comments into a “despicable” display of “racism” boggles the mind. I knew the Obama campaign was screaming about it but chalked it up to one more attempt to gain political advantage by playing the race card, as they have from day one, and that it would blow over. When Ms. Ferraro stepped down from her honorary position with the Clinton campaign, Keith apparently decided he must keep the issue alive so quickly put together his far-reaching and, frankly, idiotic remarks - whether to benefit your ratings or the Obama campaign is impossible to know. But Geraldine Ferraro is right - if anybody criticizes Barrack Obama or his campaign in any way they are immediately labeled a racist.

What particularly makes this outrageous is the multitude of sexist remarks and innuendo coming out of the mouths of YOUR commentators and guests with nary a word of criticism. By the way, whatever happened to journalistic standards? Not only does every person with a microphone at MSNBC voice their opinion on a regular basis, even those shows which purport to present the “news”, but some items have been presented as fact with little to no research and which later have turned out to be fictitious – after, of course, the damage has been done.

It is my understanding that Section 315 of the Communications Act of 1934 requires equal coverage of candidates for the same political office. Therefore may we assume that the Clinton Campaign will be offered the opportunity to present a rebuttal?

Yes, KO has been a real disappointment, along with his guest, Rachel Maddow. I used to like them both, they seemed like reasonable people, until Keith began guzzling the Ohhhhbama koolade. I no longer watch Countdown, and it's a shame he's falling for the Borat Obama hype; I had thought he was more intelligent than that...apparently, I was wrong. Adios, KO, been nice knowin' ya!
