I know we have some cultural sophistication to encourage, but we have a little of everything> Let's just have folks who are members help recruit from their own ranks. More Blacks, Latinos, Asian, Am. Indian, foreign-born, foreign-based. The regular cornucopia of America.

Though we all meet on a level plane once we are here, some folks are tentative.
They should not feel that way.

We need diversity of regions and people to move forward.

To be summarily called an asian is...well...weird. What image does the word asian bring to your mind? Most people I know think of Asians as yellow skinned (although that again is questionable since I know alot of chinese who are fairer than caucasians).

What about Indians, Malays, Burmese etc etc...

We really should stop lumping all of asia.

I think the only logical and fair usage is:

African-American (black) : European-American (white)

If "African-American" is used, "European-American" should be used.

If "black" is used, "white" should be used.

It doesn't seem fair/equal to call out the origins of "African" Americans (black) while not calling out the origins of "European" Americans (white) when both groups are not native to the USA.
