View Full Version : 6/27/08: Hillary & Obama Embrace at Washington Airport - and they wear matching colors!

Hillary , we are hoping that your supporters will be in force today in Unity to protest this allegiance between you and Obama.
At airport in Washington Hillary greets Obama with kiss( couldnt you just shake his hand)and they wear coordinating colors, she a blue pantsuit and his tie which matches.
As a staunch supporter of yours since you announced your candiacy in Jan 2007, it sickens me to see you collapse to them after how they treated you and all of women. A great disappointment for me.
People I dont think there is a hidden agenda for Hillary. This is politics and frankly it stinks!! What about all the women who supported you Hillary.? Today is a very sad day indeed!!!!

Sudha,
I think its important that we dont drink the kool-aid like the Obamaots have. While it is would be great fantastic whatever if Hillary took the nomination it is I am sorry to say a fantasy at this point. I cannot even bring myself to help Hillary any longer with her debt. I say let Obama and his millions of kool-aiders do that for you now.
She is party loyal, ( although why I'm not sure, an Obama presidency will ensure that Hillary will never be pres)

Notice Hillary is doing the talking when there is talking? She is teaching BO even as she knows what a dangerous, unqualified, dishonest person he is.
Remember, PUMA team, this is politics. Hillary is playing the game to keep the good will of the honorable and dishonorable members of her party, the DNC, the BO campaign and voters. She has been in politics long enough to know you keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
Let the party use her. She is using them. She's got 18 million of us behind her.
She's got power now, and she knows it. She's being a team player while she knows about PUMA/Just Say No Deal/Women for Fair Politics, etc. If she can stomach being around BO without spilling the dirt she has on him, imagine how beholden the party old and new is to her.

Boy does she look good. Do not falter people! The pundits said we would abandon her and I don't want that to be true! I wish she could have just shook his hand- it's almost *sexist* to kiss him- two male pols would never kiss. Anyway- here is an interesting blurb on BO's body language....
'Stroking the chin is often a signal that the person is thinking hard. They may well be judging or evaluating something, particularly if the conversation has offered them a choice or decision to make.
The head is a heavy object and is often propped up by holding the chin in a cupped hand, particularly when the person is tired and it may drop. Boredom can make you sleepy and a hand under the chin may be done to stop an embarrassing drop of the head.'

The Kiss picture is interesting because I thought right away that with the almost slap look of her hand and the kiss ...Hillary looks like she is in complete control and Like a your toast glare...I dont know Im not wording it right...But she is angry in that shot....
Couldn't be more staged then that. BO probably rehearsed this all lol.

Let's not magnify things here! They have always stated that they are friends in spite of politics. Friends don't usually shake hands but kiss and/or hug.
They are not showing anything that should come as a surprise since this has been stated over and over in the past. I think people need to chill and stop running wild on emotions. Emotions won't get us anywhere but thinking and staying cool will.

You've got to understand, this is all politics. She's not sucking up. She's keeping her friends close and her enemies closer! Hillary is doing this so that she will be absolutely beyond reproach from all those crazy Hillary Haters in the media. She wants to show that she is a good sport, and she wants to keep this whole Obama disaster from dragging her down with it. Rebuffing him would be political suicide, because then the media would be able to blame her if he loses.
I had CNN on briefly the other day and they referred to Hillary's "FAILED campaign." They are still rubbing it in. By being so demonstrative as to kiss him, Hillary is trying to shock the media vultures out of their obsessive Hillary Hate pattern of behavior, so that they will not be inclined to set her up as a scapegoat later on.

Until she either releases her delegates to him ... or he wins on the floor vote at the convention .... I am backing Hillary no matter what she has to do right now. Face it, the more she stays away from showing a public support for him - the more pressure they are going to hammer on her to give up her delegates completely. If she acts nicey nice in public toward him ... showing the party unity ... they won't ride her ass as much.
It's Hillary '08 until September 1st for me .... no matter what she is pressured to do in public.
After that, if it's Obama, then that's when I start putting McCain buttons on my shirt and waving signs ... and sending whatever I can afford to his campaign.

So if she doent go on these Unity tours with Obama she comes off as a stomping child? WHY?
She comes off looking like a spoiled child because then every person who hates her can say she's acting like a sore loser. It all goes back to the day she didn't concede to Obama, everyone and their mother's unlce were saying that she wouldn't bow out gracefully, and what did she do she went and bowed out gracefully that saturday. She has no choice but to support him while in public or else she's not doing what's best for the party... I know it's ridiculous but that's how it'll be spinned, exactly the way they talk about the fact Bill isn't doing the same thing.

Please everyone keep your posts about Hillary Clinton respectful or they will be edited or removed. This is a PRO Hillary site.
That said, Hillary Clinton has worked for thirty five years for the things she believes in. She is NOT going to stop now whether or not the DNC allows Obama to be crowned. She will buck up, find that strength and figure out how she can do the most good for the most people and then DO IT. She is not new to this game and I trust her completely. I did not just start following her when she ran for president. I've seen her take heat from every side all her life long. Either you know what her mission her whole life has been about, and who it's been for or you think it was just begun with this campaign. It wasn't. No one knows what discussions she is having behind closed doors. Doing this, she is in a great position of power right now, and believe me when she goes back to the senate she will have even more say so than ever before. The things we want done are going to be FIRST on her agenda whether they give her that POTUS placement this time or not.
I'm with Hillary now, and all the way to 2012 because she has PROVEN herself to me for thirty five YEARS!

Some are expressing severe disappointment and some are making remarks that are personally insulting to Hillary. Those posts have been removed and will be. As you didn't see them, because they were removed you might not know how nasty they were.
I will not vote Obama, but I knew all along she would have to keep her word to support him if she did not get the nomination. I've been in this game a long time. I also know her dedication to the things she wants to get done and I know she will do them to the best of her ability from the best possible platform. If she does not do this, they will end her career and then she will get NOTHING she or we care about done at all.
It is difficult but, this is hard ball, it's politics and for the long term she MUST keep her eye on the long term goal of taking care of the issues she cares about from the most powerful position possible. A short term tantrum will destroy any hopes of her long term goals. You just watch and see over the next years what she does. I will be borne out that she did what was best for the most people over the long term...and she did what she HAS to do, to reach those goals.
Now this media spin, and this politicking is not pleasant and it never was but, she knows how to play this game for what is best over the long term. Thirty five years of being held to ten times the standard, and she has not ever one time let me down. She's not letting me personally down right now...she MUST do this and that's all there is to it. If she goes back on her word they will use that to tear her apart and that will be it for her and for those she works so hard for.

As much as I disagree that Hillary is doing anything wrong, I think this is a really important conversation to have. People are having an emotional reaction to this, and it needs to be talked out so that we can keep people in the fold. We've got to support each other through this, because it is going to be tough for a lot of people to see Hillary supporting Obama.

This is an excellent assessment and deserves a re-post. Everyone stop what you're doing for one second and just smile. This is politics and the Clintons are masters of politics; they are political artists. Brush off this little publicity stunt. It means nothing.
As much as I disagree that Hillary is doing anything wrong, I think this is a really important conversation to have. I agree. As always, it is important that genuine Hillary supporters express their views, whatever these may be. It would be abnormal to think positively about every single action a politician takes! Afterall, politics is riddled with opportunism. It is reasonable to critique and comment on any action taken by Hillary Clinton in the political arena. One can be pro-Hillary and still disagree with certain policies/actions. But emotional attacks or baseless rants are not welcome. So please, if anyone wishes to critique Hillary's show of "unity" with BO, please do so in reasoned manner rather than simply branding her with insults.
In politics, there are 2 games going on at anytime: the front stage game and the back stage game. The show of "unity" is the front stage game. Who knows what the back stage game really is...?! That's the interesting part...

I'd be lying if I said those pictures didn't make me sick. They do. But I believe it's important for her to do this. She's brilliant. She's cool. She's in control. Don't ever think she doesn't know what she's doing. She will play the game if she has to, and no one will play it better.
What's really making me SICK is politics. What a screwed up, twisted, disillusioning business it is! Sick and Sicker. But I think I may be angriest and most disillusioned by the MSM. I always new politics was twisted. I didn't realize the MSM was nothing but calculating manipulation and downright propaganda. And you know what? It's hard to take all these blows to your ideals at once. Not that I'm all that much of an idealist, but still, it's hard.
I'm going to risk saying something here that's going to make everybody mad at me. Actually, I'll pose it as a question. Is there any chance Hillary's having to go through all these gyrations because it's clear to both campaigns that her people AREN'T falling in line? That would mean us, but it would also mean her big donors. That meeting didn't go well last night, no matter what anyone says, so look what's going on today. They're all kissypo and making nice for the cameras. Why so hot and heavy?
I think it's because poor, pathetic BO is such a lousy uniter that there's more and more pressure on Hill to make this happen. Gaaaaah. I won't even say what I'm thinking here, but it's against the law.
Please don't anyone think that I'm suggesting we do anything differently. Personally I'm not changing course no matter what happens. This primary was a travesty and we are right to protest it--and to take back Democracy. But, what I'm wondering.
What they don't understand is their approach isn't going to work. For most Hillary supporters, it's going to backfire. These pictures are sickening to me. They don't convince me of anything except that politics is what's wrong with this country--and this world. And right now, BO's campaign in collusion with the MSM are what's wrong with politics.
HOW STUPID DO THEY THINK WE ARE????? DO THEY THINK WE LIVE IN THEIR TWISTED WORLD????
Okay, I'm going to shut up. I'm really getting myself worked up here.

I agree with you! I like your post. I am sorry that this will backfire on Hillary, but she can't please everyone all the time. I don't pretend to understand politics, being a humble switchboard operator, but I trust her and Bill to know what they're doing. That's why she has my support, because I DON"T understand politics or most of what the government does, but I do trust her to get the job done as best she can, while putting the ordinary citizens, like me, first. Just my opinion.

Emotional? Thats what the MSM thinks of Hillarys females supporters. That we are just emotional but will come home in November for Obama.
WE SAY NO we WONT, we WONT VOTE BO no matter how hard Hillary campaigns for him!!!! We wont submit to the sexism, misogyngy, the disenfranchisement of Fl and Mi. We will Never forget, not now not November NOT EVER!!!!!

Wow, y'all turn quickly. I am still, and always will be a Hillary supporter. I think the way she's handling all this shows true class. She's able to rise above and stay on track. I admire her even more every day.
How many of you can swallow your pride and move ahead for your causes?? Not very many people can. She's a true leader with a graceful strength that is rare, and I'd pick her to be on my team anytime! She's definitely for the people.
Bottom line, John McCain will continue the unraveling of things she cares deeply about and has worked hard on for many many years. His healthcare plan is nothing compared to Hillary's plan, to name just one of her many passions, not to mention various things/issues she's accomplished for the American people.
If making friends with Obama and moving forward means that Hillary can make more progress for the American people, then so be it. Ideally, this isn't over yet... we still have Denver! But IF she doesn't take Denver, or - IF she doesn't fight in Denver, I'm still on her side. I'm starting to wonder why some of you liked her in the first place... because, if it was just because you didn't want Obama in the picture, then you weren't/aren't really a true Hillary supporter... you would be more like an anti-Obama person who is using Hillary to bring him down. Fair enough, but please don't try and deminish her on our PRO-Hillary board. It's not a McCain site just yet, and won't become one unless Plan A fails... it hasn't failed yet. And, if y'all start attacking her, you take just that much more away from the possibility of Plan A's success.
Hillary is a class act. We'll be hard pressed to find another politician as great and brilliant as she in our lifetime.

It looked like an "air kiss"...or maybe it was one of those kisses that people got in "The Godfather."
Hillary Clinton is more mature than I could ever hope to be. She puts her pride aside and does what is right for you, for me, and for the United States of America. Can we all please try to do the same?
And look what has happened over the last few months: We've gone from Hillary hate to Hillary love, for many millions! Remember how it used to be? And now we've seen, during the primaries, people all over the coutry saying how much they admire, respect, and trust Senator Clinton.
We've also seen, day after day, Obama dig his own political grave, the opposite of what Hillary is doing. He flips, he flops, he spits on his supporters and people from all walks of life, because he is one of the most self-centered, clueless people I've ever seen. I know some of you are worried that we will vote for him if Hillary asks us to. THAT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, BECAUSE BARACK OBAMA CAN'T CHANGE HIS PAST, AND WON'T CHANGE HIS CHARACTER. NObama, no way, never.
Now: We all knew this was going to happen, so why are people acting like it's a surprise? Please re-read the fantastic, explanatory posts that are here about why Senator Clinton has to do this - SHE HAS TO. And, for God's sake, please stop watching the MSM! I know it's addictive, as are those high-flying emotions, but we've all got to buck up! Our motto has to be, "It ain't over 'til it's over." And, baby, it ain't close to over!

We can't be upset with Hillary. She is a Democrat and cannot take any stance other than the one she is taking. We all know that she should be the candidate, and may have to wait a few more years for that to be accomplished. Obama is cunning and slick and most of us are not deceived by his flowery speeches. Stay faithful to Hillary and the right change may come yet.

Interesting....the pictures didn't affect me emotionally at all. I think that means I'm over the primary. I've accepted what has happened and I accept that barring an Obama implosion (which I do still hope for - :)) the Democrats will have him as their nominee.
I'm an Independent so I support certain Democratic issues (meaning social issues) and certain Republican issues (meaning economic issues). With Hillary I liked her social issues enough to outweigh some of the things I disagreed with economically (meaning taxes). I thought Hillary was a great left of center candidate and would have been great for this country, I also thought she had a very solid stance on foreign policy. She was the first candidate I ever personally contributed to (and a large amount at that...primary maxed! ;)). I hope she's back in 2012 but I realize she's a Democrat and has to support Obama if he's the nominee.
However, with Hillary most likely out I can focus economics....my husband and I are middle class and Obama's tax plan would hurt us tremendously...especially the payroll tax cap elimination. When the Democratic candidate fails (as in Obama) I tend to vote based on my wallet. In addition, a fundamental thing every candidate I vote for must have is a solid understanding and stance on foreign policy - Obama does NOT....and I think Iran will attack Israel and Obama will not defend Israel should Obama get elected. I was all for a universal health care plan but I don't think Obama truly wants that...I believe that's pandering.
So my decision has been made.....I actually had it in my head long ago. I wanted Hillary as President but barring that possibility I know what I need to do for my family and what I believe is the best direction for the country.
Am I angry at Hillary? Absolutely not - she's got to do what she's got to do and should 2012 come around and she's a candidate I will for the second time max out on primary contributions. It's nice to be over the emotion and know how I feel and what I'm doing. :D

I'm not sure you understand what Plan A is. Plan A is getting Hillary the nomination at the Democratic Convention. The convention hasn't happened yet, hence Plan A has not failed. Many, many here believe she can still clinch the nomination, since there's still time for the many things that can happen politically to happen between now and then.
Since this is Hillary Clinton Forum, then we are certainly entitled to hold that opinion, and, indeed, this is the ideal place to be if we do.

As I said before, I am 100% behind Hillary. She knows what she is doing and it may look total disheartening to us, I believe she has a hidden agenda. Notice she was the one reaching out to the groundscrew.

As a staunch supporter of yours since you announced your candiacy in Jan 2007, it sickens me to see you collapse to them after how they treated you and all of women. A great disappointment for me.

Me too! I almost puke seeing them together. So what happened to those words of Hillary "Ask Obama what he can bring to the table but his 2002 speech". 'Ol same politics...I kiss your a** and you pay my debt! Is this what Hillary wants?
Hillary Clinton cannot come out for McCain! There is no way on earth she can do this and get a thing done anymore in the Senate! They will drum her out in a heartbeat!! The way this works is that she HAS to do what is best to retain the MOST power to get her plans done for the American people. I am sure this is hard for her but, if she folds and doesn't do what will actually work to help the most people over the long term then she is OUT for good in politics. There is no way the people of New York will keep her as a senator or anything else if she comes out for McCain. The press will destroy her, and so will the democratic party. She may want to walk but, if she does then there goes her work on healthcare, there goes every single one of her plans for the economy. She is a senator with a lot more power right now because of this run...she can go in there and push for the things we need. It is NOT her fault the DNC played the way they did.
If people understood how this works they would know she must make the show to gain what she can to put her in a position of more power to get the things we all want.
There is a lot going on behind the scenes right now, and this party show is something she PROMISED before this ever started she would do, so did Obama. If she had refused that would be it for her.
I have said it before and I will say it again, watch over the long term what she does and you will see that she made all the right moves. If you ever believed in her or followed her whole career you will know she never betrayed the things she believed in. She will get the job done and the DNC will change because of her. Look for voter reform coming right from Hillary...she'll push for it among many, many other things.

She's not letting me personally down right now...she MUST do this and that's all there is to it. If she goes back on her word they will use that to tear her apart and that will be it for her and for those she works so hard for.
Well said. Hillary is doing what she must do at this point in time. Never doubt that she knows what she doing and what is best. We must not take things too personally, even though it may be hard at times. This is politics and business and it can get rough at times, which is to be expected. We must stand behind Hillary, afterall she is what brought us all together in the first place. We need to trust and have faith now.

Renee-We do NOT know that she has lost the nomination. That's why we keep fighting the DNC. Towards the end of next month there is a "Rules" committee meeting. At this point, we don't know what the results of that will be. What if.....they overturn the RBC's ruling on MI and FL? What if......They strip Barack of his 59 gifted delegates and return the 4 stolen delegates that were taken from Hillary? What if........Superdelegates start to have endorsement remorse? And most importantly, WHAT IF Hillary's name is on the first ballot in August? This is plan "A". If plan "A" does not come through we all have a plan "B". I can totally understand your frustration, but this game is not yet over. The DNC wants you to believe its over. It's over when Hillary concedes her delegates and not before. She has not done that, and until she does, I for one will continue writing SD's, delegates, protest, blog, ect.
It's politics Renee and it isn't pretty. But none of us here will ever, ever forget what was done to her and her supporters and that is something we should never stop fighting for. Equal Rights for all candidates and respect for others opinions. Hang tough partner....Hang tough.

"I'm starting to wonder why some of you liked her in the first place... because, if it was just because you didn't want Obama in the picture, then you weren't/aren't really a true Hillary supporter... you would be more like an anti-Obama person who is using Hillary to bring him down. Fair enough, but please don't try and deminish her on our PRO-Hillary board. It's not a McCain site just yet, and won't become one unless Plan A fails... it hasn't failed yet. And, if y'all start attacking her, you take just that much more away from the possibility of Plan A's success."
Who were you then accusing of being just originally Anti-Obama? I started this thread. And believe it or not, while yes it is not a McCain site just yet, there seems to be plenty of support for him, now that the DNC has coronated Obama. I beleve perhaps it is your plan to diminish that resolve.
Hope all you want for Plan a, waste time( 2 months) hoping for a miracle. Trust me I wanted that miracle myself, but after June 7th, and now the Unity tour, it is apparent it will not happen. Dream on if you must, but many on this board have vowed to do all they can to defeat BO, if you are aginst that philosophy, then perhaps it is you that should find another board.

Hillary is a class act. We'll be hard pressed to find another politician as great and brilliant as she in our lifetime.

I understand now why you are taking it personally... The "you" I used in my post is the general use of the term, and agrees with the first sentence. The first sentence identifies the audience of whom I was referring to with the word "you". Read it with that understanding, and it will make more sense, and hopefully won't feel like a personal attack any longer. I'm sorry if it felt like I was talking to you (Renee) personally. I doubt you are the "if it was because you didn't want Obama" person I was referring to, as I've been around on this board and Hillary's main blog long enough to know better.
I'm starting to wonder why some of you liked her in the first place... because, if it was just because you didn't want Obama in the picture, then you weren't/aren't really a true Hillary supporter... you would be more like an anti-Obama person who is using Hillary to bring him down. And, I'm still holding on to Plan A. Without HOPE, we have Obama. I'm not ready to give up hope until November, the day of the election, because anything can happen. But for now, Denver.

Anyway I just want to remind everyone that this is Hillary we are talking about. When have you seen her angry or cold-hearted. Come-on everyone, regardless of what happens and whether she has a plan or not or whatever, the woman is always smile and grace.
You just have to love her for it.

I think we're all getting a little hot under the collar so how about we all take a deep breath and remember that we're all in the same boat here. We're going to have many different opinions and that's fine. I, for one, resent anyone asking why we are posting here if we don't agree with what they say. I resent anyone saying that we must not have been Hillary supporters in the first place, and a lot of the other catty little comments that are being hurled here. I've been in the Clinton's corner since Bill decided to run for President. I've loved them and been angry with them a dozen times, although it was mostly Bill that I was mad at but anyway, I still don't like that Hillary seems to be in Obama's corner now. And to anyone who says "well you just don't know what her plan is" no, I don't and I doubt that any of you do either. Her feeling that she has to toe the line to keep the DNC happy is a useless endeavor, in my opinion. Pelosi and her gang have already shown how they feel about Hillary and no amount of butt kissing is going to change that. They don't like her and they have no respect for her. It makes no difference how many air kisses she throws Obama's way, or how much she tries to educate him, it isn't going to make a difference. If she should run in '12 she will get the same treatment no matter who her opponent is. They don't LIKE her. She's trying to swim upstream if she thinks she is ingratiating herself by rolling over ad letting him take the win, with her help. This nomination has nothing to do with what the people want, it is all about what the leaders DON'T want.

Well said Lucy, and that was my point earlier. I feel wary of a poster who accuses some of us as being originally Anti-Obama from the beginning.
People this site is the force we need to show the DNC that this kind of crap will never happen again. We have many many Dems who have left the party as a result of this sham primary against Hillary. And we will stick to our guns, not to spite ourselves but for the cause of not allowing a woman, or a candidate that the DNC control rammed down our throats , happen ever again. It is an outrage , it was a plan set forth in 2004 by the DNC and an article written by D. Brazille back then that the Democratic party needed a new face. Well everyone, they succeeded in putting the finger to us now, now we have millions who WILL FIGHT BACK!!!

I agree too. After viewing the pictures and reading all the posts. I kept thinking about when BHO had remarked how he could get her votes but he didn't think she could get his. How foolish he was to think that we would just step in line and follow him. Hillary is so strong and she is doing exactly what she has to do. The world is watching and and they see who the real leader is. No matter how the media spins it. I believe the people will question all the BS that has been said about her. They will question him and whether it is said or not his followers will take notice. We have to weather the storm and support each other and focus on Denver.

She cannot possibly say good things about both. How would it look if she praised McCain? As a high profile democrat, still holding her delegates, she has to praise BHO. She has no choice. Remember while she was campaigning she had good things to say about McCain and very little to say about BHO. Politics is ruthless and her words are for the good of the party she still belongs to. They left her but she hasn't left them.

I agree but we all know that she will now be the reason he might be able too win...
As others have suggested, take a deep breath and realize politics is often about strategy and manouvering (can never spell that word..). As long as HC wishes to remain in the Democratic party she is obliged to support BO at this time. There is no other option. I think a few people can afford to pull back on the idealism and increase the realism! Ideally, yes, I would have loved for Hillary to tell them all where to go, leave the party and do her own thing. But that's not the reality of how one succeeds in politics. Hillary has to play a game and right now she is in the thick of it. It's often unwise to jump to conclusions before the outcome of the game is known!

I thought she went easy on McCain. And no I don't think anyone believes this means we vote Obama in support of what Hillary is saying in these "speeches" for the "party"
What I support is her dedication over the last thirty five YEARS to the work she believes in. Her courage and utter tirelessness on women's issues, the blue collar workers, children, education and healthcare have never waivered. She will continue to champion these things whether or not she is POTUS NOW or later on. She is not going to lie to anyone and at the beginning of this she PROMISED to back Obama if it came to this. She is keeping her options open, while keeping her word. She will come out with more power and they really cannot hold her back from either being POTUS now or later OR being the most powerful senator on the floor!! She has all the cards now. This is politics. If she doesn't keep her word they will tear her apart and ruin her career. If she plays along and keeps her word then no one can come back on her about this later. Not Obama, the media, his supporters or the DNC and we have no idea what they have had to promise her for leverage. You just watch whose health care plan is put in place...she knows what she is doing!! Having faith in that does not mean you have to vote Obama by any means. She knows full well our votes are our own.

WELL...I WATCHED THIS FIASCO...AND JUST HAD TO LAUGH...ALTHO IT WAS INDEED HARD TO WATCH...SO IT WAS A PAINFUL. NERVOUS LAUGH...IT WAS SO OBVIOUS THAT, LIKE MOST THINGS IN POLITICS, THIS WAS SCRIPTED...NOTICE HOW BO STILL HAD TO READ FROM NOTE CARDS WHILE GIVING HIS SPEECH...HILL DIDN`T...BUT NEVER HAS TO, ANYWAY...SHE MEMORIZES HER LINES WITH THAT PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY OF HERS!
YES...SHE HAD TO TAKE PART IN THIS CHARADE LIKE SHE PROMISED...AND JUST AS THE DNC HAD IT SCRIPTED...IT WOULD`VE BEEN POLITICAL SUICIDE TO DO ANYTHING ELSE SUCH AS SUPPORT McCAIN IN ANY WAY SINCE DROPPING OUT, AND NOT DO WHAT THE DNC SCRIPTED BOTH HER AND BO TO DO, ETC!
LOOKING AT THE BIGGER PICTURE, I THINK THAT THE MOST REVEALING THING AT THIS SO-CALLED UNITY EVENT...WAS THAT BILL CLINTON WAS MISSING...NOW, I DON`T CALL THAT UNITY WHEN BILL CLINTON IS STILL DISTANCING HIMSELF FROM BO...AND AS FAR AS POSSIBLE I MIGHT ADD...NO ONE IS EVEN SURE WHERE BILL IS RIGHT NOW...EXCEPT HILLARY!!!
ALSO NOTE WHAT A PUB STRATEGIST STATED AFTERWARDS ON MSNBC...HE STATED THAT THE THING LOOKED OVER-THE-TOP WITH COLOR-COORDINATION, ETC...EVEN RIDICULOUS...AND THEN EVVEN MENTIONED PUMA AND WHAT IT STANDS FOR...AND HOW/WHY MANY HILL DEMS. LIKE US ARE GOING TO VOTE FOR McCAIN...MENTIONED COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY, HIS STRENGTH AS A LEADER IN A WORLD CRISIS, (ALMOST CERTAIN TO COME IN THE NEXT YR OR TWO), HIS BEING A WAR HERO, ETC!
AND THEN WENT ON TO POINT OUT A FEW OF THE MANY BO WEAKNESSES WHICH WE POINT OUT ALL THE TIME ON THIS FORUM!...HOW BADLY HE GOT BEAT IN THE LAST FEW CONTESTS...AND WAS LEAKING OIL, GAS, ETC., AS HE CROSSED THE FINISH LINE...AND GUESS WHAT...THIS GUY WAS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT...FOR A MOMENT, I FOUND MYSELF THINKING THAT HE MUST READ THIS FORUM SINCE HE HIT ON MANY OF OUR MAIN REASONS NOT TO VOTE FOR BO...AND TO VOTE FOR McCAIN!
BOTTOM LINE: REGARDLESS OF WHAT WAS SAID, ACTED OUT AS SCRIPTED, NOTHING HAS CHANGED!
PLAN A - WORK ON SD`S TO GET HILL THE NOM., ETC!
PLAN B - CAMPAIGN FOR McCAIN TO DEFEAT BO
PLAN C - HILLARY...12!!!

I'm just as sorry as I can be but I feel that by sucking up to that snake Hillary is telling me that neither I, nor any of my friends who have supported her through thick and thin, really matter. To say that I'm disappointed is a drastic understatement. The "party" thumbed it's nose at her and I now feel like we're getting the same treatment.
Don’t be so disappointed. Hillary is not letting you down.
All DNC is against her. She fights to the end and still standing. Hillary is the one person who is followed by media: every her move, every word. She is smart, she is tough.
She is not “sore looser”. She knows what DNC did. She is looking forward, not back. Now standing next to OB she shows to everybody who is the trure leader.

Exactly, everyone... do you really think Hillary wants to do this? After he tried to bash her everyday on her integrity.... I don't think they are "friends" maybe you can say friendly and professional but you have to remember if Hillary doesn't do this, they will say she ruined his chances.......

True but I don't know about 2012. I have no crystal ball. She is gong to try to move heaven and earth to get her agenda pushed through and legislated. That is her angle and that is what she is going to do.

Hillary already has a job as an elected Democrat. She can't walk away from the party. And she always told us she was going to work to put a Democrat in the White House no matter what. She isn't betraying anyone! As far as kissing Obama, I don't know about where you live, but in NYC that's how people say hello. Plus she isn't a bitch and will be gracious to him because that's who she is. She's gracious to all the people who've betrayed her. It's why I like her. She rises above. She probably doesn't hate Obama the same as we do. She's probably better, or more evolved, than us that way. I also like that she knows we aren't supporting Obama but isn't really trying to change us. She could be sending us all sorts of emails if she wanted to. I don't what her plan is, but I know she's a sterling human being, and she just keeps proving it.

I say PUMA, even to the brilliant Hillary Clinton!!! Hillary i love ya gal but did not donate to you to see it go to baracks benefit. You did 'your' party duty today, now please thats enough. And Go Bill for hanging tough and not backing BO, not yet anyway!
Dear Renee,
On February 8, in Unity, New Hampshire, 107 people voted for me, and 107 people voted for Senator Barack Obama.
Today, Barack and I were in Unity to celebrate a unified Democratic Party focused on electing him the next president. I was proud to stand with him today, and I will do whatever I can to help his campaign between now and November.
Senator McCain and the Republicans may have hoped that we wouldn't join forces like this. They may have wished that we wouldn't stand united to fight this battle with everything we've got.
But I've got news for them: We are one party; we are one America; and we are not going to rest until we take back our country and put it once again on the path to peace, prosperity, and progress in the 21st century.

Sincerely,
P.S. So many of you have reached out to help us retire our campaign debt -- I'm so grateful for your support. If you haven't, I hope you'll consider making a contribution today to help me as I continue standing up for the values we share.

The McCain Update - June 27, 2008
The Lexington Project - Making America Energy Secure
Our nation's future security and prosperity depend on the next president making the hard choices that would break our nation's dependence on foreign sources of energy and ensure our economic prosperity by meeting tomorrow's demands for a clean energy portfolio.
John McCain has made the necessary choices - producing more power, pushing technology to help free our transportation sector from its use of foreign oil, cleaning up our air and addressing climate change, and ensuring that Americans have dependable, renewable energy sources. He will lead the effort as president to develop advanced transportation technologies and alternative fuels to promote energy independence and cut-off the flow of oil wealth to regimes like Iran. Click here to learn more details about this project.

This week we released two new web ads exposing the truth about Barack Obama. The first web ad, "Words," focuses on Senator Obama's broken pledge to the American people on public financing. Although he promised to work with John McCain to preserve the current public financing system, Senator Obama ultimately broke his word. Click here to watch this ad.
The second ad, entitled "Dr. No," spotlights Obama's opposition to providing the American people with short-term, near-term and long-term relief from higher energy prices. Click here to watch this ad.

John McCain held his latest town hall meeting at Xavier University in Ohio with undecided voters and students from the school this week. It is unconventional to meet with undecided voters, and these town hall meetings are key to John McCain's success in November. He took questions about energy costs, the war in Iraq and education.

It's the Fredo kiss. She did it so all her people would not have to.
Look if she is still going for it this year (in case Obama implodes), she is going to need a significant majority of his voting blocs. Ask yourself, how else could she accomplish that in a couple of months. Certainly not by doing a Tonya Harding on this knees. Let Hill be herself. She will always know best.

Exactly. She absolutely has to do the "unity" thing. If/when BO implodes and Hillary needs to step in, her graciousness during this period of "unifying" will be a tremendous asset to draw on in attracting BO's supporters.

Oh come now everybody...calm yourselves down. In the kissing picture you cannot see her right hand. How do you know she isn't crossing her fingers?:D
Her kiss reminds me of the greeting I have to give my ex-sister-in-law when she comes by to pick up her son (my favorite nephew). It is all show, to keep the family intact. Sometimes we have to be the bigger person.

.... Hillary reallly vilified McCain today in her speech at the rally.
That's Okay, because there's a lot more where that came from when she's fighting him in the General election. Maybe this is her way to continue to campaign for the GE on Obama's dime until Denver :p:D

Hillary has earned my trust and I am sticking by her like glue. As I have been reading all of the posts, I began to think back on my own career and the hard to swallow choices I had to make sometimes for the "greater good". Hillary has such integrity and wisdom. She is smart and savvy and I accept that she knows what she is doing. She has so much to give to the American people and so much wonderful work to do for our country. I will stand by her.
Things may not look so hot in the "battle" right now....but I have no doubt she is going to win the "war".

Ah, yes, good point. Should the implosion happen, she would need his people to win just as he now needs hers. That's just how these things work, but that had slipped by me.

Seriously, those two are not friends. Deal with it.

Yeah so they can look outside and look at the pretty things while the grown ups make the decisions. I wonder how many times he said, "Are we there yet?".

Does this mean we vote for Obama, not in support of him but in support of Hillary?...I jsut read she and Bill donated the max $4600 today to O's campaign. Hillary reallly vilified McCain today in her speech at the rally.
Yes, they gave to him. O on the other hand lied again. He said he and MO had just donated $4600 to HRC as of 06.27.08. Well, his check wasn't dated until 07.31.2008. I will never vote for the "Whatever the Politics Demand" candidate. What Hillary Clinton says about my vote means nothing at this point.

It doesn't matter to me what Hillary does now, she's still a Classy woman I very much admire, but I still will not vote for Obama after how he treated her doing the primaries and all the lies he has told up to this point, this charlatan is not to be trusted, and people who ae weak mnded enough to vote for this man, so be it, but I will not fall in line with such a person like Obama, I'm an average African American male that's just barely making it in life, but Obama still will not be getting my Black vote, because he's too immature, arrogant and inexperienced to be handed the keys to the White House. in these troubling times, We have not began to experience what we now if we put this man in office, it would be total chaos and diaster, more than what Bush has ever caused to this country and Internationally.
This campaign and my vote is bigger than Hillary or Obama now, I will most likely vote for McCain or Nader this year if Hillary does not get the nomination, but I do believe that a write for Hillary is a vote for Obama, so I suggest that if you really don't want Obama in office, use your power of the voting process and vote for either of the too if things don't favor Hillary after the convention is over, and whatever we do we should not stay home, that may be a vote for Obama too, vote whatever happens, just don't vote for this Charlatan, flip-flopper, liar, hypocrite, and opportunist, Obama, who definitly would be trouble in the long-term for this Country and abroad.
So everyone please slow down and take a deep breath, Hillary is only doing what she has to do, so these people will not try and destory her career, continue to protest Obama, but make your everlasting voice count and heard at the voting booth on election day that you will not allow Obama to have the keys to the White, this is the Ultimate Protest of Obama becoming President, so on that day, let all Hillary supporters put their money where their mouth and protest of Obama is and vote McCain or Nader if Hillary is not the nominee on election Day, and Whatever you, do Please don't let this gender-biased, racist media coward you down or trick you in to unitying, supporting and voting for Obama, if we do, all this time protesting him would have been in vain in my opinion, we would be all talk and no real substance or action, that would make us out to be liars and hyporcrites just like Obama if we do, then we would have gotten what we deserved for not sticking to our guns and word of not putting Obama in office under no circumstances in the first place, because we were warned and knew better not to make such a major blunder like that.

Oh man.........I didn't need to see the pics........now I'll have those visuals for the rest of the day. Icky!
I know she has to do what she has to do but it doesn't mean I have to like seeing what she has to do. Ugh!
And......I like many of you......no matter how much I love our girl.......I will not vote Obama even if she does end up on the bottom of the ticket.
As far as I'm concerned it's learn a hard lesson time for the Dems and the DNC.
Before you go thinking we the American public are just a bunch of stupid idiots that you can walk all over and make our decisions for us, you'd better realize that you are the ones who have proven to the world that it is you who reek with stupidity.
This is the most botched election/selection process I have seen in my lifetime and I for one am thoroughly disgusted with it.

JMO but as far as I'm concerned anyone who votes Nader or writes in Hillary are only giving their votes to Obama anyway.
Write ins and Nader votes only take away from the McCain votes. If too many do this and it's even just 2/3% it could make the difference between Obama winning or losing. This election is going to be sooooo......close, can we really risk that 2/3%? NO! WE can't!
Vote
Mccain/Palin and send the message LOUD AND CLEAR to the DNC that we are mad as hell and we aren't going to take it anymore.
