I started http://www.demsforjohnmccain.com after the last primary and Hillary's suspension when the DNC seemed out for Hillary's blood. Originally, it was set up to highlight the inadequacies of Nobama and the decent things Mac has done. I vowed in my heart to do whatever I could to stop Nobama. I didn't anticipate PUMA, though, nor the continuation of the spiritual support I feel from this Forum.

Given I have a website and that I'm hopelessly addicted to this Forum, I've decided to change the focus of the site to be a website for "news" for YOU. Check it out. I plan on updating it with "news" articles frequently. Please feel free to blog and send me topics you'd like to see. Heck, even send me an article or two. ;)

I don't use FrontPage but I did a right click over the image, selected "view Image" to see the URL, and it's:
http://www.demsforjohnmccain.com/Desktop/175px-John_McCain_official_photo_portrait-cropped-background_edit.jpg

The reference to "desktop" is probably what's messin' it up.

The source codes seems to be read like this:

<img src="../../Desktop/175px-John_McCain_official_photo_portrait-cropped-background_edit.jpg" border="0" width="175" height="239">

I'm not sure what the ../../ is accomplishing.

If you use GoDaddy the uploaded images are stored into one directory.

If you use GoDaddy the uploaded images are stored into one directory.

If the web page URL was, for example:
http://www.demsforjohnmccain.com/home/new/index.htm

And the image was located at
http://www.demsforjohnmccain.com/John_McCain_.jpg
The image link in the code for that page would have to say
<img src="../../John_McCain_.jpg>
meaning that it would have to go back 2 folders to find the correct area that the image is stored.

So you just need to find exactly where you've saved the image and correct the code.

Usually it's a good idea to keep images in a separate folder from the pages, e.g.
http://www.demsforjohnmccain.com/images/

Thanks, Kathy and Change. I deleted the ../.. and the Desktop portion of the image source, moved the picture to my ftp: file, and it worked. It's very different from Facebook-type blog pages.

Update on food plans for the convention. Ha!

That is really funny, go read it.:D

In a remarkable show of benevolence, the PUMA organization has reportedly donated a few loaves and fishes to the convention effort. In a surprisingly sarcastic public statement, a PUMA spokesperson was quoted as saying, "After becoming the presumptive nominee by losing the popular vote, we're sure Sen. Obama will have no problem working some miracle and feeding the 75,000 that the stadium holds with our donation. " The spokesperson then turned serious, "The real bright side of these new food plans is that it ensures Donna Brazille will be too busy at the buffet table to cause any problems for PUMA protesters."
