Why would you want to bring attention to this article? She sounds like an Obamabot forgiving everything he has flip-flopped on. You might think she is being sarcastic. She is not. She is not "antidumb".

I'm sorry, but I hated this article. I recognize, though, that people with addictions have very strong rationalization and justification mechanisms in place to avoid confronting their self-destructive behavior. Gail Collins is obviously hooked on the kool-aid.

Obama is a liar, and trying to justify his trickery, lies, lack of integrity, lack of good judgement, ties to corruption, terrorists, racism, lack of fairness and values is spilling onto Gail. She is the guy who she was talking about who conned her partner into dating when she knew she was leaving for the south pole. One calls that type of action sleazy; she's passing it off as not too important. She's trying to pull a fast one. Not so fast Gail. The penguins live along the shore or on islands. They spend most of their time in the water. They eat small fish and krill. They leave the South Pole when fall comes. They go North to find food in warmer waters. When spring comes the penguins go back to the South Pole. You're going to be alone in the fall Gail, the Penguins will leave you as people leave Obama. You will have nothing.

I don't follow her columns. Maybe she is so sarcastic you can only find it if you are familiar with her work. It sounded a lot like your signature link with the Obot cycle. i was half expecting Gail to end with "You got nowhere to go. You gonna vote McCain. Right, you'll come home to Obama."

i'm sorry but this author was explaining how obama should be doing what he is doing and how the left should not be angry and should still vote for him because he is doing the smart things he needs to do, and supposedly he told them he would do these moves to center long ago, but like the girl in her story did not listen when the guy told her he would be leaving, the obots supposedly did not listen to obama. bs period. i say he is just lying
and pandering for votes and does not really stand for anything. i dont think obama is being anti-dumb so much as following, again not leading, the not so dumb views of centrist dems that did not want him in the first place. he is pandering, but this author is excusing all of it and saying he is doing what is smart. i sense an obot in there somewhere. i wouldnt blog this anywhere as it would be used to dismiss his flip flopping again. sigh!! i wasnt crazy about the article myself. felt like kool-ade again. :(:(
