View Full Version : What's the truth about HC's Tax Returns, Earmarks, and Presidental Library Documents?

All these calls for Clinton to release her tax returns are just absurd. They're talking about only the 2006 returns, cause the others are already public domain from her service in the Senate right? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on this. And she has till 4/15 to finish her 2007 returns just like everyone else, right? What do the witch hunters think they're going to find in her 2006 returns for Pete's sake?

Further, it's not up to Clinton when those presidential library documents are released, as she has stated. They have to be vetted according to law, including by the Bush Admin. She's stated that she's urged all those in charge of this vetting to move as quickly as possible. IMO, this is another one of those red herrings aimed at the "sound bite" voters who don't take the time to get the full story.

On earmarks:

The Clinton campaign was asked about earmarks on a press call Thursday afternoon before Obama released his requests. Clinton's Senate office released a statement and set up a Web page containing links to news releases about funding secured for New York projects.

It did not provide any information about earmarks that were not approved.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/03/13/earmark.vote/?iref=mpstoryview

Now, it seems to me that no matter what she releases, they make a huge deal of whatever they can find that she didn't release. Maybe the requested, but not approved, earmarks are filled with scary skeletons, but I doubt it. It sounds like more hollow, merit-less accusations and fishing to me. But who knows?

As Hillary said, this is all "Nitpicking" because they don't have anything to talk about.

They are getting desperate.

Oh most certainly. Same people who keep accusing Hillary of all those 'gates. I mean seriously.

$60 million bucks, a special counsel and so many years...nothing. In fact, turns out that she was a victim in one of those cases.

Geesh. Yet they keep harping it as if she served time for them.

*shrug* There's a sucker born every minute.

I wonder why no-one is asking for Obama's tax returns regarding the Rezko years?

Let me lay some facts out for you.

FACT: Clinton has requested all documents from WH years be released. They, must go through the current Administration before being released so as there is nothing classified, etc. Needless to say, Bush is in no hurry to release those.

FACT: Senator Clinton files a financial report with the Senate every fiscal year and it is a matter of Public Record.

FACT: Senator Clinton is not required to release a tax return until after the convention, but has agreed to do so sooner.

FACT: John McCain has not released his tax returns. Media Matters has this information and every MSM outlet thinks he has.

The tax returns really are a non issue, Obama has nothing else to attack her with and she is to release them on or before April 15. This is before the PA Debate.

The papers have been requested and are being held up by the White House. Again, no big deal. It will give her schedule, etc.

The Clinton Library Donor list will most certainly be interesting, but there's nothing they can fix in their joint return between now and tax day. Oblahma is hoping someone of interest will show up on the list. A foreigner perhaps, or someone of ill repute. But let's don't go there Rezko Baby.

Actually, he's stopped making this request that they be released since the Rezko trial began an it's only the MSM because they seem to have forgotten that McCain hasn't released his. They are grasping at straws.

The Obama campaign keeps bringing up Hillary's tax records so, of course, his lap dog in the media continue to help him out by mentioning it over and over again.

Remember what the holier-than-thou Obama campaign did the last time the Clinton's financial information was released?

This has come up on another site repeatedly and so I post the links to her 2005 & 2006 financial disclosures. I for one do not think that because their last name is Clinton they should have to file before April 15th. Kenneth Starr spent $70 million looking at 20 years of their taxes and financial records and Obama is trying those tactics now. So here ya go, take them and do with them as you will:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/congress/fin_dis/2005/c001041.pdf

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/congress/fin_dis/2006/c001041.pdf

McCain and Obama's are pretty paltry compared to what Bill and Hillary have and you know what? They have worked long and hard to get everything they have so I say WTG

I really find it offensive to call the guy Oblahma. I mean, come on, what's that supposed to mean anyway? If Clinton supporters can't be ernest and fair, why should we expect any different from the other side. I'm not trying to be nasty, that just really doesn't set well with me. It is, of course, completely up to you.

Obama is just picking a hunt because there is nothing else he can do to attack Hillary. He promotes so called Transparency, well why don't he come clean with where his donations come from, the deal between him and Rezko and the fact that he knows that Wright is preaching hate. Obama needs to get out now because this country cannot afford to be run by radicals.

By constantly harping on this issue to release records BO is trying to imply the Hillary must be hiding something by not releasing information. Her reluctance only feeds that fire in the mind of those who choose to believe she is hiding something. Is there any merit to that? I have enough patience to wait to see. BO and his campers however have shown no such virtue.

Does anyone else remember while Bill was in office they did the same thing to him and he would turn them in on April 15th. It's a game for them I think, get everyone stirred up and theres nothing there.

thanks for the links to the newspaper articles/memos from early summer.
I NEVER KNEW OBAMA'S CAMPAIGN CALLED HER D-PUNJAB UNTIL JANUARY EVEN THOUGH IT HAPPENED EARLY SUMMER.

I guess because Obama said it was a dumb mistake and he was sorry the story only lasted 1 day and I missed it. No wonder this guy (Obama) survives.

I'm curiousl. Have you visited expressed this same outrage over all the Obama supporters that refer to Hillary as "Billary" or "Hillarious" or "Hillbilly" or how about as "the bitch" or some of the more colorful and sexist words reserved for women?

Oblahma seems rather mild in comparison

i agree it is mild. i was thinking of calling him Obomba because of his past friendly encounters with the bomber Ayers BUT I felt that is not what Hillary would want posted so I deleted it. McCain seems to be running a clean campaign so far (denounced radio talk show host Bill Cunningham's comments about Hussein Obama).

really? i don't think so...it's absolutely harmless...the only thing I find offensive is to call him barack hussein obama...i know it's his name, but it's nevertheless not okay...i sometimes read this name for him also here in the forum and i'm not very happy about that...

I don't see how it's offensive to use the mans middle name. Granted no one is running about yelling HILLARY DIANE RODHAM CLINTON even though it is her name, they do refer and announce Bill as WILLIAM JEFFERSON CLINTON at rallies and speaking events. I think if Senator Obama doesn't like his name he should legally change it. He did go by Barry up until most recently so maybe he's the person with the issue.

McCain "denounced" Cunningham's words after inviting him to introduce him at the rally, and being fully aware of his history of making this type of hateful remark on a regular basis on his radio show. (He also said he didn't know him when it was proven afterwards that he in fact did.) How convenient. He gets the red meat out there for the base and then manages to look like a decent guy running a clean campaign.

And Bush didn't know anything about the "Swiftboaters" in 2004 either. Who me? Didn't come from me or my campaign. B.S.

I dont think it is offensive to call him by his given name either. Check wiki.. It IS his name. In fact, the more he hides his name, the more suspicious it is.. Why would he want to hide it? It IS his name! Check wiki.. Call him BHO.. we have no trouble with HRC or JFK or LBJ..

As a matter of fact, the BLAH interpretation is well earned! There has a LOT of BLAH in his rhetoric and more polarizing words than I care to list here. (Yes, I am keeping a long list. with all kinds of references.. and they are ALL GETTING READY TO BE DISHED OUT)

The fact is, increasingly he is even more than just BLAH.... he is FAUX....
There is no credibility whatsoever left after what has been coming out on Rezko, Auchi, Ayers, Michelle's hospital salary for part-time job, the filthy rich hospital connections, now Rev.Wright and his holy-WHATEVER-ness!

We already have it that Barack was in the audience with Mr.Wright at times when he spoke so poorly of America, of many other things!!! Just wait until THAT hits the air! It will be more than BLAH, FAUX..

Why do you think I'm here? I was on staff at a website that got so out of control and nasty I couldn't stand it there, and believe me, I fought it out with them, tried reason, facts, calls for some sort of common decency, till I gave up and quit.

That's because they either are or think like republicans.

March in lockstep, talk like bumper stickers, robotically repeat talking points; in other words, they can't think for themselves.

Ok. What if we called him Boring Obama? Would that sit alright with you?

Oblahma isn't offensive and this isn't double standards. Let me explain why. It's not racist, sexist or *ist (insert relevant term to *), the correct term for it is "descriptive". By that very token, Sillary, Billary, Hillarious and other names are just that, a play on words.

The names I personally find offensive are: Bitch, Witch, c*** and a wide assortment of other terms Obamanites call her.

To this date, I have NEVER seen anyone call him a mulatto, a n*****, boy or an assortment of other terms that Hillary supporters COULD call him.

While I'm sure this community appreciates your extremely high level of ethics, I do encourage you to take a chill pill.
