Obama Attended Hate America Sermon
Sunday, March 16, 2008 7:14 PM
By: Ronald Kessler Article Font Size
Contrary to Senator Barack Obama’s claim that he never heard his pastor Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. preach hatred of America, Obama was in the pews last July 22 when the minister blamed the “white arrogance” of America’s Caucasian majority for the world’s suffering, especially the oppression of blacks.
Senator Obama has sought to separate himself from his pastor’s incendiary remarks, issuing a statement Friday rejecting them as “inflammatory and appalling” but failing to renounce Wright himself for his venomous and paranoid denunciations of America.
In his press release, Obama claimed, “The statements that Rev. Wright made that are the cause of this controversy were not statements I personally heard him preach while I sat in the pews of Trinity [United Church of Christ] or heard him utter in private conversation.”
Appearing on cable news shows this past weekend, Obama claimed when he heard Wright make such comments as “God damn America” he was “shocked” – implying the reverend had not used such derogatory language in any of the church services he attended over the past two decades.
If Obama’s claims are true that he was completely unaware that Wright’s trademark preaching style at the Trinity United Church of Christ has targeted “white” America and Israel, he would have been one of the few people in Chicago to be so uninformed. Wright’s reputation for spewing hate is well known.
In fact, Obama was present in the South Side Chicago church on July 22 last year when Jim Davis, a freelance correspondent for Newsmax, attended services along with Obama. [See: ”Obama’s Church: Cauldron of Division.”
In his sermon that day, Wright tore into America, referring to the “United States of White America” and lacing his sermon with expletives as Obama listened. Hearing Wright’s attacks on his own country, Obama had the opportunity to walk out, but Davis said the senator sat in his pew and nodded in agreement.
Addressing the Iraq war, Wright thundered, “Young African-American men” were “dying for nothing.” The “illegal war,” he shouted, was “based on Bush’s lies” and is being “fought for oil money.”

Okay, he has now been caught in several lies about Rezko and now this bald faced lie about Rev. Wright's sermons.
How can people justify supporting this man who lies with such ease????
Apparently the only thing that may finally break the media and Nobama supporters out of their trance is a video of NObama nodding, standing, clapping and saying "Amen, praise the Lord and pass the sword!" Geesh.
Another friends of mine today admitted if HRC is not the nominee she intends to vote for McCain to send the DNC a message.

Still couple this with 20 years close relationship with his pastor and given that Obama is a bright person. Every thinking human can make a judgment! that he knew about this all along. This is not coincident. Its not just Newsmax that is skeptical about this. Many newspapers have their own support articles
At least there is someone argues that he was there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Most important part is that we ought to believe it and spread the word out!

-- "Hillary Has Never Had Her People Defined As Non-Persons"
Oh yeah? Women were non-persons, 2nd class citizens long before slavery came to the new world and have a long history of being bought, sold, bartered, abused, raped and tortured and many other trespasses too numerous to mention throughout history and in all cultures. Black men had the right to vote 50 years before women in the United States of America.
To this day, Hillary has to work twice as hard, if not four times as hard, to prove she's the right person for this job.
Talk about clueless...

It's on the L.A.Times blog.
They are claiming he was in Miami that day. So what. He can fly to miami in a couple of hours from Illinois after church!
I just don't see how he's getting away with saying he didn't know and that Wright never spewed this language when he was there. To me, that shows how bad your judgment really is. First, you claim for the 17 years you knew Rezko, you didn't know he had problems. Now, for the 20 years you attended wright's church, you didn't know he said this kind of stuff? Give me a break!!! Why is he getting away with these excuses?!
Do you all remember in the South Carolina debate when Obama said that he had nothing to do with Rezko? That he was just somebody who was represented by the firm he worked for? I wish they would replay that tape over and over.

Website says Obama attended anti-white Wright sermon; campaign says no
In a posting this evening, Newsmax.com reports that its correspondent witnessed Sen. Barack Obama attending one of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright's anti-white sermons on July 22 and nodding his head in agreement with the black congregation.
The report on the conservative website directly contradicts the Democratic presidential candidate's recent statements that while he denounced the pastor's controversial anti-American and anti-white rhetoric, he had never heard such declarations himself in church or in private.
Ben LaBolt, a spokesman for the Obama campaign, immediately denied the Newsmax report, saying Obama was in Miami that day. He referred to an item hastily posted on the Obama Fact Check website saying simply: "Fact: Obama did not attend services on July 22."
The lengthy Newsmax report by Ronald Kessler said its correspondent, Jim Davis, attended services on July 22, 2007, at the Trinity United Church of Christ on Chicago's South Side and saw Obama in attendance. Kessler's story states:
"In his sermon that day, Wright tore into America, referring to the 'United States of White America' and lacing his sermon with expletives as Obama listened. Hearing Wright’s attacks on his own country, Obama had the opportunity to walk out, but Davis said the senator sat in his pew and nodded in agreement."
The Sunday night Kessler story links to Davis' original account of the ...
July 22 service, which was posted on the Newsmax website on Aug. 9, 2007, and headlined: "Obama's Church: Cauldron of Division." In it, Davis describes being initially blocked from entering the church, how few whites (except for Obama's Secret Service detail) were among the 2,500 people in attendance and how skilled an orator the Rev. Wright was.
He describes the now-familiar anti-white rhetoric, the excitement of the congregation, Obama's two decades of close ties to Wright and how another congregation member and a prominent Obama supporter, Oprah Winfrey, had joined the church in 1984 but withdrew her membership some years ago allegedly over Wright's preachings.
It's an extremely touchy issue for the Illinois senator's campaign. The minister coached and counseled Obama during his early community organizing days, and one of his sermon titless lead to the title of Obama's best-selling book, "The Audacity of Hope." Wright married Barack and Michelle Obama and baptized both of their daughters.
In a Sunday conference call, Obama campaign manager David Axelrod admitted that the campaign recognized Wright as a potential problem more than a year ago and had disinvited the pastor from giving the invocation at the announcement of Obama's presidential candidacy on Feb. 10, 2007, in Springfield, Ill.
On Friday, as the issue and videos of Wright's statements flamed across the Internet and his campaign realized the scope of the controversy, Obama posted a statement on HuffingtonPost.com denouncing Wright's "inflammatory and appalling remarks."
The senator added: "I vehemently disagree and strongly condemn the statements that have been the subject of this controversy. I categorically denounce any statement that disparages our great country or serves to divide us from our allies. I also believe that words that degrade individuals have no place in our public dialogue, whether it's on the campaign stump or in the pulpit. In sum, I reject outright the statements by Rev. Wright that are at issue."
Later in his statement Obama added: "The sermons I heard him preach always related to our obligation to love God and one another, to work on behalf of the poor, and to seek justice at every turn.
"The statements that Rev. Wright made that are the cause of this controversy were not statements I personally heard him preach while I sat in the pews of Trinity or heard him utter in private conversation. When these statements first came to my attention, it was at the beginning of my presidential campaign."
Kessler's story tonight, headlined "Obama Attended Hate America Sermon," also said: "If Obama’s claims are true that he was completely unaware that Wright’s trademark preaching style at the Trinity United Church of Christ has targeted 'white' America and Israel, he would have been one of the few people in Chicago to be so uninformed. Wright’s reputation for spewing hate is well known."
Newsmax.com, which also publishes the magazine Newsmax, was founded in 1998 by Christopher Ruddy, a former journalist who describes the Florida operation as "the leading independent online news site with a conservative perspective." Its early investors reportedly included the family of the late CIA Director William Casey and Richard Mellon Scaife, a well-known conservative publisher in Pittsburgh.

A comment on my blog directed me to this link (http://www.nclr.org/content/news/detail/47475); it's a news release on the National Council of La Raza web site, dated July 21, 2007 detailing its annual conference in Miami that ran from July 21-24. According to its schedule, Obama was the featured speaker at 1:30pm on July 22.
However, the original Newsmax article about Obama's church [by the fellow who attended its service on July 22], which was posted on August 9, mentions not only Obama but his Secret Service detail:
On this particular July Sabbath morning, only a handful of white men — aside from a few members of Obama's Secret Service detail — were present among a congregation of approximately 2,500 people.
Why, back in August, would this guy make up a story about Obama AND his Secret Service detail being in attendance on July 22nd if it weren't true? But...if oBLAHma really was in Miami speaking at that conference at 1:30 in the afternoon...I don't know, is it possible? Surely the Secret Service has records it can refer to in order to clear up just where Obama was that day--and when.

This is old news and it didn't do anything to sway the democrats. Wright is an old topic that most don't care about, as you can tell by the latest BS coming from the polls.
So what can we do to make this reach home to some people? This has already spread through the media and it seems no one cares.
