His followers actually believing he is the messiah has to be the most disturbing thing I've seen during a political campaign

Isnt there something in the bible that refers to a false profit? I think we found him, a wolf in sheep cloth. Think about it, this is deep!

No it's for REAL. I too looked it over all one night long and finally had to conclude it is for REAL. They mean it!!

Now then what are they going to do if he wins?? Is this China's young army now?? Or what??!!!

These people are allowed to vote. And judging from the effect he has on people who hear him speak, not those at this site but, the average people who cannot tell you ONE GOOD REASON they are voting for him except for CHANTING "hope" and "change" it IS cause for grave concern!

This will all come out if he has to run against McCain. Given this mans ties to Farrahkan I will tell you added altogether and I think we are in for one hell of a ride if Obama is EVER allowed to be president of anything!

Bizarre. On the other hand, there are a few right-wing religious wing-nuts who are actually claiming that Obama is the anti-christ! I'm an atheist and find these sorts of claims to be a combination of amusing and scary.

Amusing yes. Scary, absolutely since this man is clearly having influence in a political contest. I cannot imagine Hillary Clinton having a site by her supporters that made such claims. Again, I think the media would pick it up and ridicule the page even being in existence.

The Anti-Christ reference is just as disturbing as calling him The Messiah. I know of a few religions that describe both and can see where people could stamp him with either to suit their needs.

On a more base level, I think because there are similarities to the Omen 3. If you aren't a fan of horror movies then here is a synopsis from Amazon:

Set in an eerie future, The Great Recession has arrived. As worldwide starvation and economic doom prevail, so does Damien who relentlessly continues his sinister plot to control the world.
Damien's evil power reaches out across the Atlantic when he's appointed ambassador to England. With an ominous band of satanic supporters behind him, its only his first stop on a political path he plans to culminate as President of the United States. But first, he enters upon a manic hunt for his arch-nemesis (God) an wreaks havoc all along the way.

A disturbing and shocking exploration of evil, the prophesy of Armageddon sets this film, and Earth, on fire.

They forgot to add the middlename " Barack Hussein Obama Lebanon".
For real Creepy cult leader. Now, everything is making sense, you know, IRS investigating his church, homophobia, the Cnti-Cemita Reverend that endorsed him. Seriously, there are a lot of mysteries with this guy.

Wow now that is truly disturbing. If anyone has ever seen the Spongebob Squarepants movie...I like to refer to this phenomenon as the plankton helmet syndrome, the helmet is a mind-controlling device. It's like they are in a trance...does "yes we can" have a subliminal message that only certain people can hear and fall into???? Come on people snap out of it!!!!!!

These followers of his, or should I say apostles, seriously need a reality check - for the sake of their own sanity and stability. I wonder what they think he will do. What does "change we can believe in" look like in their minds. Usually this kind of mindless devotion is sustained through mob or group psychology. They just keep feeding each other the kool ade, keeping the rhetoric going until they get worked up into some sort of emotional high. It seems to me that this whole movement is more about belonging to a group for these kids, and less about Obama. Their identification with the kool ade drinking group is what's important. As a few apostles start to drop out, the movement will quickly fall apart.

I guess that makes me a heretic, an unbeliever, a bitch AND a monster:)

Seriously, I am 99% sure that one of the strongest arguments for creating the SuperDel system, back in the day, was to prevent just this scenario.... a cult-like movement taking over the party.

I'm goin' to sleep now but will research this more later... I swear- that was the major reason for having SuperDels (protection of the party by party leaders).

Anyone else remember this as the basis for SuperDels?

g'nite;)

You're absolutely right. SuperDels were devised as a means for keeping a lunatic candidate from overtaking the party. Night-night. Sleep well in spite...

Yes, yes! That's the perfect description! Even what you say about his followers gives me goose bumps! Shiver! I recently edited a chidren's book that had a Pied Piper character and theme.

"No clue about what they're following." Exactly! I think in part because, mainly the kids, are such empty vessels looking for something/someone from the OUTSIDE to fill them up. Plus, today's kids never had to fight for anything. Everything they've got--even the right to wear bluejeans to school--is off the backs of all of us who had to fight for every kind of right.

Wow, UNBREAKABLE, Saturday Night Live is about to save you from any further ranting on my part! :) Have a great week!

I am glad for primaries, no caucus , please.
My brother lives in Kentucky, I heard that there are majority of people for Obama b/c obama's ads are everywhere and his campaign has already reached there...........

Even my own brother is OB's supporter. My husband and I are strong Hillary supporters, we have convinced our neighbors, our close family friends for Hillary. But, my brother is very stubborn.

I am going to Kentucky on March 15th just to convert my brother back to Hillary. I almost convinced his wife, but, he made it very clear that if his wife will vote and support Hillary not Obama, he will not forgive her.

I need more suggestions, please. How to convert my brother to Hillary?

Show them this Web site: http://obamamessiah.blogspot.com/ It's for real. If that doesn't do it, try showing them "The HIllary I Know" videos, which you can find on www.hillaryclinton.com. If that doesn't do it, they're lost to all reason...

Yeah, I'd seen that blog a few weeks ago and was sure that it was a parody. I'm still not sure whether to believe it's serious -- if so, I'm getting a ticket to Sweden asap before we get taken over by mob religion! My father is a pastor and having grown up in the Church, I get chills of terror when I think of how religion distorts reality in so many minds. Some of the most hateful and unforgiving people in my life were religious people and I have the scars to prove it :(

I wrote to "Morning Joe" at MSNBC about the Obama Messiah blogspot. Not trusting the national media to do their job in an unbiased manner, I've also written to Gerri Peev, of the SCOTSMAN, who wrote the article about Ms. Power. I'll give it a day before I start sending the link to other media outlets.

Here's my letter to Gerri Peev:

Dear Ms. Peev:

Thank you for your article about Ms. Power, former adviser to Senator Barack Obama. We are having trouble getting the Stateside media to report honestly about Sen. Obama. We fear our journalists have mostly drunk the "Kool-Aid" (reference to the Jonestown Massacre, in the USA, in the late 1970s, if I recall correctly) and are now unable to report on the U.S. presidential candidates without bias.

Point is, I have come across an "Obama Messiah" blogspot. At first I thought it was a parody, but indeed there's nothing funny about it. Would you be willing to look at the site and report on it? As I've said, we now have to reach outside the United States to the foreign press corps to ferret out the truth for us.

Considering your exposure to our so-called pundits of late, I suspect you'd agree they're rather pompous and out of touch with reality and are prone to making inane pronouncements (e.g., "Hillary supporters are choosing fear over hope"). I hope you will decide to help us. And by "us," I mean those who have not fallen under any spells.... Here is the link: http://www.obamamessiah.blogspot.com/.

Thank you for your time and consideration, as well as for your HONEST, excellent reportage!

Sincerely, etc.

If it were a parody then why would someone take the time to update it regularly and promote the "word" of Obama?

One part of your statement speaks volumes, "he made it very clear that if his wife votes for Hillary, he will not forgive her." He is not controlling is he? He does not have issues with self-worth does he? He does not seem very sure of himself. What part of the state is he from? I ask this, because I personally have found there are pockets of Clinton Haters/ignorance/bias/ misogyny/ in my home state, (just as there are in all places in the world)! I too have a brother in Ky, who I think will probably never be convinced to vote for Clinton. That will not keep me from sending him donations for Hillary requests, videos, blog quotes, pictures of me at Clinton rallies with Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen holding my campaign sign etc. If nothing else to aggravate the hell out of him! I do not think he would ever try to tell his wife how to vote however, he might get smothered with his own pillow as he sleeps.

Tania maybe my view point will help convert your brother. This is what I have been blogging/sending to the media.
"Caught in Between"

It suddenly hit me that BO is probably "caught in between". In between races, in between cultures, believes, and perhaps, just perhaps even religions (do we really know?)
I feel that he is a good man who means well. He has taken fullest advantage of the best that our great nation has to offer to those who aspire to a better future and study hard.
But I also feel he is not seasoned enough. He lacks experience and has a mediocre record and resume which shows little sweat and no bold achievements. This, he effectively replaces with charm, good posture, nice endorsements, and superb oratory which crumbles, however, when he is not scripted.
What concerns me the most though is his HUGE recently discovered LACK of JUDGEMENT and the fact that we simply do NOT know him.
It is just impossible to believe that he "chose" to associate himself with Pastor Wright and his church for 20 years and never "batted an eye". How can anyone expose ones family and children to such hateful sermons delivered in the name of God?. How can anyone choose this man as ones "spiritual" advisor and visit him, eat with him, have him marry you, baptize your kids and listen to his sermons every weekend for two decades?. Either Barack Obama is very confused and "caught in between" and thus part of him buys into some of this hateful words, or he is plain naive and stupid (not). The other very real and sad possibility is that Barack Obama is one of the most calculating ambitious politician of recent times. He is someone who appears quite capable and comfortable of doing anything to get where he needs to get, someone who would step over race, over culture, over identity, even parenting values for the sole purpose of his political ambitions - an opportunist.
Any of these possibilities are not only frightening, but immediately disqualify him, in my opinion, for ANY national public post, least of all the Presidency of the United States.
So, as much as I think he is a good man, he will never get my vote. I simply do not know him, and frankly do not trust him.
Sadly, most of the media has done little to give this issue enough coverage. They are not digging deeper. We deserve to know. He is getting a HUGE pass just by delivering a ‘speech’, no questions? no nothing?. A speech delivered out of desperation not out of conviction. I simply do not understand why the same media that crucify (often rightly so) politicians for having extra marital affairs is not interested in probing more into this association which involves indoctrination for 2 decades from someone who is a real American disloyal.
Why such biased coverage? Why the lack of interest? The lack of objectivity to BO's lack of judgment is unbelievable.
So, as we move closer to the election, I keep hoping that some of these comments from us Americans make some of the media reflect on the skewed coverage. I can only hope you care and .......change.

I have come across some interesting information concerning Barry O and his affiliation with Trinity United Church of Christ and its parent body, the United Church of Christ. The UCC wrote a story about him in 2004 in their 411 publication but I could not find that article. However, in their February 9, 2007 issue they wrote about BO and his run for president. You need to read the entire article and see how Obama and Dean, as well as, the Iowa and New Hampshire and other primary/caucuses may have been and still is a source of Obama’s wins—looks like it may be a violation of separation of church and state—I hope some talented person (eg investigative journalist) with a nose for getting to the truth will pick up some of these leads and discover what many of us believe to be certain, and that is the O-man is not the messiah of America [or the world].

Obama's Presidential Run
http://www.ucc.org/news/barack-obama-candidate.html

Also, another interesting article concerning Sen Joe Lieberman writing a letter to IRS requesting the reason why they are investigating UCC –March 20, 2008
http://www.ucc.org/news/lieberman-questions-why-irs-is.html

http://www.ucc.org/news/responding-to-wright.html -March 17,2008

Finally, the response and defense of Reverend Jeremiah Wright by the president of UCC. You can read that some of the UCC members are not happy with their president’s support of Wright.

As a Hillary supporter to the end, I have decided it is time to write letters and send snail mail. I know that snail mail is a powerful tool because the mainstream media will delete our posts and so will DNC and elected officials. I believe that Hillary supporters should be united on this front, too—send in copies of whatever you have concerning questionable matters that relate to O-him. I also must agree with one of the posts on this site that described Obama as being evil. I wholeheartedly agree that his aura of a spiritual being is more on the dark side than where the true Light is shining. He has brought this party nothing but trouble. His campaign to be the Democratic nonimee has wrought deceit and destruction within the Deomcrat Party. He has been divisive since he stepped onto the world stage as the MSM began to sing praises to him and toss roses at his feet instead of poision ivy at his head.

I will continue to support Hillary and also be giving again to her campaign. Whatever we can do, we need to do it, and believe that all things are possible.

I have said from the beginning that Hillary cannot run on issues against him as long as he is regarded as a 'Messiah'.
When the Larry Sinclair allegations are proven, it will finally bring Obama down to earth. I just hope it is in time.
