What do you guys think Edwards will be saying this Thursday on Leno? Could it be an endorsement?

Anyone know which way he's leaning?

Oh man! Butterflies just entered my stomach! This is the way I feel the night before a primary . . . .

Hopefully it is the public announcement that he is endorsing Hillary! After all of this mess with Obama, he might have made his choice.

I am ecstatic to see him and his cute 'lil laugh again!

Here's one of my favorites starring Edwards:

Enjoy & g'nite!

I don't think there will be an endorsement announcement on Leno. Does not seem like his style. Besides Leno is a dyed in the wool republican.

I'm a little worried because I read somewhere that Obama met with Edwards when he went to North Carolina last week.

Also, endorsing Hillary while Obama is down would make a pretty strong statement against Obama -- that just doesn't seem very edwards-like.

TRUE... but he will be asked about it and about Rev.Wrong... I think he'll send signals as to his readiness to endorse or not.

Signing off.. must sleep...now...

For Edwards to endorse Obama at this time would be political suicide! I really dont think Edwards would be so naiive as to make such an endorsement given the outrage to the Rev. Wright fiasco.

If anything an endorsement would come before his Leno spot and he would discuss reasons on the show.

Right now Edwards does not have a political role, unless he is perhaps being courted as a running mate. In that case he could come out for Obama. THis would make him almost the instant darling of the media. Coming to Obama's rescue and all that. But we will just have to wait and see.

Most former Edwards supporters I know went to Obama after John dropped out. So I don't think he'd be coming to Obama's rescue. But it would make an endorsement all the sweeter.

I'm just afraid to hope.

I think you're right, which means Edwards would be making his endorsement today. Barack Obama will be in North Carolina all day today, North Carolina is John Edwards home state. I don't think it's a coincidence that the two will be in the same state together the day before Edwards makes his first public appearance since dropping out of the race.

Even if this is true, I don't see Edwards putting his future career on the line by supporting Obama at this time. The whole Wright scandal is just heating up and if anything else comes out it will look really bad for both men.

Edwards will not endorse Obama or Clinton on a Television Show.

He has met with both Candidates and I think he is waiting to see what is playing out and will make an endorsement before our Primary here in NC where it will make a difference.

That will be the biggest statement he can make.

If we remember SC, he was very critical of Obama's inability to vote yes or no, only present, in the Illinois Senate and called his judgment to task regarding that.

Let us hope he will stick to his convictions and see that the Party can not afford to have someone with such ill judgment as to not only attend, but to support, such an anti-American Church.

John Edwards has been fighting for those without a voice since he began his Law Career in NC and by the age of 32 was the most prominent attorney in the State. Those without a voice were any and all Americans of every walk of life. My gut tells me that Obama has not fulfilled John Edwards' test.

He may endorse before the show since Early One Stop Voting will begin soon here in NC and that will give direction to his many supporters and Super Delegates. Every NC elected delegate had issued formal support for him and I think they are waiting for his lead. He gave his lead to those in Iowa and requested they remain with him, but some did not do that.

NC is a strange bird and he is our Native Son for so many reasons. He may not hold much political clout nationally as he once did, but he certainly does here in NC.

So, let us hope Obama did not spike Edwards' drink with the Kool-Aid when he visited him in a shroud of secrecy earlier this month.

there is no endorsement though today. beside obama will be in west virginia tomorrow so that will not support that Edwards will endorse him tomorrow?

Neither he nor Al Gore will publicly endorse anyone because they are the senior Dems (Bill can't be impartial) so they may be called in to mediate between O and H before the convention in August. BUT stranger and much worse things have happened thus far. Anyone see Hulk Hogan endorse Obama on Conan OBrien? That came out of nowhere for me one night so I sure hop John Edwards doesn't do it.

This would be a critical time for Edwards to endorse Hillary, it would help push those white men who were turned off by Obama's pastor towards Clinton.

With the way that the msm talks about Obama after the speech, and the way he goes around at all the shows and channels Edwards might endorse him. Most of the media talks that he is the person to Unite us.

Yes, I don't see an Edwards endorsement for Hillary tonight, or maybe ever. During the debates he seemed to curry favor with Obama -- right after Hillary paid him a compliment, he totally turned his back on her and sided with BO. I was really annoyed as I used to like Edwards.

We just don't know what will happen. It is amazing how BO is wiggling out of this mess even as he continues to make these boneheaded comments.

Is everyone deaf, dumb and blind????

Leno tells he played basketball with Barack O. He has met Al Gore... now he is talking about the cause of his life and that is the end to poverty... I cannot understand how come he is not endorsing Hillary! I have written to him so many times asking him to do that rather convincingly however, nothing yet...

OMG...he wants the the BO pastor problem to go away and focus on the issues...I am shocked...he is just going under the radar on this well maybe he is not endorsing and he is not commenting...anyone else have a take on this?

he was very nervous and red... almost thought he was going to cry.... at least he wasn't smug like Bill Richardson

GO HILLARY WE NEED HER TO WIN BIGGGGGGGGGGGG all the way 85%!!!!

YES- HE SOUNDED MOST POSITIVE FOR HILLARY

Wearing suit, cute little laugh, kid's are being homeschooled, Eliz doing well, doesn't regret dropping out...more coming

"close race, unite party to focus on issues" Spent time with each candidate-both have strengths but they are different:
FLUFF brings enthusiasm & younger voters. HILLARY brings toughness, tenacity and experience that is of great value!

Either would be a great candidate, aerial footage of edwards & obama meeting at Ed's house, spoof of look-a-like stand-ins playing
leap frog......COMMERCIAL....

jokes on homeschooling, has met with Al Gore but will keep content PRIVATE, admires Gore's non-gov't work, continues dialogue on poverty being the work of his life... B pos thinks he talks like a VP candidate..., onFLUFF's speech: "I hope this is dealt with 'cuz we have huge issues", LENO direct ? on VP job: "I want to serve my gov't however I can" LENO direct ? on another run: "I'd never say never" [APPLAUSE]

END of segment.... Edwards exits stage!

Ari was just saying that the BO campaign did not let Pastor come out on the stage for the announcement of his candiacy however, then prayed with the pastor privately and Ari said this is what policiticans do they can't take the heat with someone publically but are comfortable with them priviately-"well, he says he is making a mistake he should NOT be comefortable with him, no on should be when he makes these anti American comments....

Hillary all the way to the White House!

AlexG

Two things I heard that seem important.

He(E) said we had two great candidates. Obama energizes young voters who usually don't participate. Hillary has experience and can help our country.

He(E) hoped people moved on and concentrate on issues.

Here is my take.... Obama is good for bringing in new voters. Hillary can really do the job with experience. You pick. I will choose the problem solver who has solutions. Who can deny experience and such accomplishment we have experience in 1993-2000?

Edwards has to say that people needed to move on. There is nothing else he could say, but I think he believes it as well. However, who can forget "God D*mn America", "KKK-A", "White government invented HIV to kill blacks", and Obama's praise of Rev. Wright? I am still in pain thinking about how Obama attended this church and share some believes of these rants......:(
