I am ardently pro-choice and always have been. However, these late-term abortions are unconsciable except in the very rare instance that it must be done to save the mother's life. Women have plenty of time to choose to terminate a pregnancy and leaving it to that late a date is layzyness, pure and simple. At that point, the only options open should be having the baby and keeping it or having the baby and putting it up for adoption. And even if the abortion is performed to save the mother's life, that induced-labor child is entitled to the same medical treatment and life-saving measures as any other child born prematurely in this country. I also must ad that I despise abortions used as "birth control" as in this day and age, there are very few instances when a woman does not have good quality, effective and safe birth control readily available for a nominal charge or even free. Failure to protect oneself from unwanted prenancy or STD's is careless.

I had already decided that I could not support him before I learned about his stance on abortion. That just made me more resolute.
