The reason I ask this is I think I've figured out why Rendell sent that email out to the delegates NOT to sign the petition. The DNC wants to present Obama as being "a gentleman" by allowing Hillary to have her name in nomination rather than her being able to say she earned the right for her name to be in nomination per DNC rules.

What do you all think?

That's what I have been thinking all day. The media is sounding like, "Isn't it good that BO is letting Hillary be graced in his presence." The spin of this is making me irritatingly ill.

Not sure yet if there are 300 yet, but I have no doubt there will be/are.
I think we have to have those sigs regardless so that it is not a "symbolic" vote at all.

I totally believe that Hillary has many supporters who have had the 300 signatures ages ago!!! I believe she has a strong, inner circle of loyal supporters who are also working on superdelegates. I believe Hillary Clinton will be our 44th President.

I agree I think she had the signatures. But, I must tell you I believe it was a guy named Leon that I spoke to at the DNC right after Hillary suspended her campaign; and he told me all it took was one delegate to nominate her and one to second the nomination. That is when I sent her and Bill a note telling them what I'd been told.

We've been told it takes 300 names for the petition but, I heard someone say on Fox late one night that it only takes 150 signatures but we (PUMA) just wanted securtiy for Hillary.

One thing is for sure....... Hillary has whatever it takes, be it 300 signatures or 2 !!! Our, soon to be 44th President, is one informed and
very smart cookie!

My understanding is that they do not have them yet but gettting there. My understanding is that she has to have them and so does Obambi. Heidi Li had something about it on her blog a few days ago. She talked to someone at DNC and they explained that all candidates had to have them even Obama. Now that she is going to be nominated, it is open and agreed upon, I would think she will take charge of getting the signatures. I think Rendell knew this was happening (the announcement that Hill would be nominated) so he wanted the big shots to get the credit for getting the signatures, not just a bunch of "little, lower class" folks like us.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Rendel's office told me he just wanted to respect Hillary's wishes. And I have some swamp land in Florida. You nailed it, Voting. Just more props for King Obama. Gag me.

No matter what words came out of BHO's mouth, I'm sure Hillary and her delegates realize that must still have those 300 signatures because BHO cannot be trusted and those 300 signatures represent a legal way to get the nomination that even BHO can't say anything about.

I thought I heard Will Bower say on Some show ( as I was walking through my Living Room since I don't watch the news anymore ) she only had 200 so far. I remembered because it kind of worried me they didn't have all 300 yet.

This was just about 2 days ago, not sure what station since as I said I don't watch news now. Tired of being lied too.

Will Bower said on FOX they are well on the way to 300. He said they have 2/3'rds -- around 200. I've been hearing 200 for about 2 weeks now.

First of all, PUmA did not start the petition and many of the delegates are afraid to be connected to a PUMA movement before convention. They want to be able to keep their seats. So, please avoid saying that...and yes I know for a fact

Secondly, It does take one person to nominate and one to second but per their own rules as of this year it had to have 300 signatures. Yes, I know this for a fact. It also takes some other things, which we are handling.

Yes, he did want to look like the good guy. Will had already been on an interview and announced the 300 delegates' signatures were already gotten and then Obama comes out letting her be on the ballot before it was a widespread story.

lyn,

Thank you for making my night....she has the 300 so Obama is not ALLOWING Clinton the rollcall vote.

Second, and it hurts me to say this, but lyn is right about PUMA not "strutting its stuff" right before the convention. Remember, real pumas don't announce their kill...they lay low right before it.

Lastly, lyn is also right about the delegates wanting to keep their seats. Look what is happening in the KY delegation. We need to be very careful at this time so as not to lose one delegate supporting Clinton.

Should have known it was the work of Hillary supporters followed by smoke, mirrors and lies by the DNC and BO.

I heard Howard Dean in a radio interview with Stephanie whatshername and she said to him "wasn't it gracious of Senator Obama to allow Hillary to be nominated at the convention?" Howard had to come clean and he said "I have to disagree on one thing you said. Senator Obama has nothing to do with whether Senator Clinton is nominated. She has the right to do that if she wants to." This was on the progressive radio show (in the tank for Obama) and I heard it in Asheville. A couple of days ago. Stephanie tried to get him to say it was not a good idea but he stayed pc and indicated that he respected HRC. Of course, we know he doesn't.

At this point he is trying to save himself with Hillary supporters/voters the best way he can.
