And members of the CA Democratic Party get tossed under the bus....
The California State Democratic Party's request for 1500 was returned with an offer of only 300 tickets to Barack Obama's acceptance speech at Invesco Field at Mile High on Thursday Aug. 28, by the Democratic National Convention Committee.
"They are treating us like Idaho right now," said Bob Mulholland, campaign adviser for the California State Party. "There are 30 million of us in California and we have tens of thousands of volunteers working for Obama."
The Democratic National Convention Committee said it switched the acceptance speech venue to allow more Coloradans to attend.
"Our goal of going to Invesco was to get as many residents of Colorado into the arena to see the speech because this is a battleground state," said Jenny Backus, senior campaign adviser. "Having that event here gives us the opportunity for (Obama) to take that message to them in their own backyards."
Fifty percent of the public seats are going to Colorado residents and another 15 percent are for people from surrounding states, Backus said.
State delegations and state parties were dealt with on a case-by-case basis, said Backus.
The debate over tickets has nothing to do with delegates and those credentialed for the convention at the Pepsi Center. Those folks are automatically given admission to Invesco, including the 441 California delegates.
It is volunteers, staff, spouses/partners of delegates and top California donors traveling to Denver with the California delegation that Mulholland is advocating for.
California has 55 electoral votes, accounting for 20 percent of the 270 needed to win, he said.
"It's like starting the baseball game with five runs up on the board already," he said. "We are going to keep banging on the door. You never want to allow the biggest state to be disappointed."

Uh oh. I think we should get organized under the bus by categories. CA would go with states right next to FL, TX, PA and MI.

THE ONE needs a fleet of buses at this point. I hear he is in talks with Greyhound. They can't come to an agreement, though, cause obama wants his name and Presidential seal on the sides of the buses....

That is so funny!!
I have to say, I can't believe that his campaign is so "good" at ticking of large electorates! States of California, Fl. Mi. Pa. W.V.
White people, typical white women, gun owners, religious people. Let us not forget the bitter clingy people of our nation!! I am sure you get the picture!
Never mind all the people he called racist!

Gee, I can't tell you how all of this really upsets me. Those delegates voting for Hillary won't care.

It is amazing, isn't it? Has any one candidate's campaign ever ticked off this many voters?
Has any one person ever running for President ever had so many websites pop up devoted solely to making sure he doesn't win?
These are the glass ceilings for obama, and he has definitely shattered them.

such rookie mistakes. I am sure he will revise this or call a "second press conference" to clear this up. It seems that he must try to offend this many people all the time.

Well, as with the female vote, BO and Pelosi are taking California for granted, so they are saving their pandering for other states/groups.

They surely love to exclude a lot of people to please another group. Are they really serious? As far as I know he hasn't been nominated yet and the Convention is not just exclusive to Colorado, they are nominating a presidential candidate (hoping it will be Hillary) not the governor of Colorado. America needs to witness the convention not just people from the battleground states. You may need the state's vote but in the end you'll be watching over the whole 50 states not just 1. And just because a state have always been blue for a long time it doesn't meant it won't turn red.

Not a one that I can think of. I don't see it getting any better either. That is why I believe McCain is going to win by big numbers.

I have been thinking the same thing. I think what they may end up doing for media reasons is close range shots giving the impression that there are alot of people; with crowd noise played over the PA system. If this is the case, anyone getting photos of this Milli Vanilli like scenario will score BIG.
