From two weeks ago. He's not in the list of speakers, is he?!
Gore likely to star at Democratic convention
By Thomas Ferraro
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Al Gore, long mocked as an exaggerating bore, seems certain to land a lead role at the Democratic National Convention as an internationally recognized defender of the Earth.
Eight years after losing one of the closest White House elections ever, Gore is being embraced by party faithful as the Nobel Peace Prize-winning crusader against global warming, and one of the most successful failed U.S. presidential nominees in history.
While the Democratic Party has yet to announce its lineup of convention speakers, the former vice president is on an anticipated short list of headliners at the four-day gathering in Denver that opens on August 25, party aides say.
"He'll receive a tremendous reception," said Democratic Sen. Tom Harkin of Iowa, a convention delegate.
"A lot of us still feel he was cheated" in the 2000 vote, Harkin said. "If he'd been president, we wouldn't have had these (Bush administration) messes the past eight years."

Perhaps you haven't heard that we're living in an alternate reality where the right is left, up is down and the moon sets in the west?

Maybe he's going to be the VP? He's been out of the loop for quite awhile now
No way! He hated that job... I'm thinking it has more to do with the Clintons. His absence is strange, especially since there was talk about him "starring" two weeks ago - then they announce the lineup and he's not there... why?

My fantasy about this question.
Al Gore has been working behind the scenes on behalf of Hillary to get rid
of The Fraud before he destroys the Democratic Party for good!!

My thoughts (or wishful thinking) exactly! It's too weird. He is the second most prominent Democrat after Bill Clinton. No one likes or cares about Kerry, it's like he never happened. But Al is beloved.

Gore said awhile back on one of the news shows that he doesn't want the political life anymore because he is getting more done in the private sector. He is a smart man and is not going to sully his reputation getting involved in anyway with this fiasco being passed off as a democratic primary.

GORE & KERRY decide to open the convention with an arm wrestling contest. They take to the stage and sit across from one another at a small table. Each side is talking smack about the other and party leaders are getting nervous. The Anointed One saunters to the podium to read a prepared statement on the teleprompter, "It is my HOPE that these two individuals can tone down their rhetoric and have some restraint so that there is peace in all the world." Hillary then climbs up on the stage with a microphone and walks to the table telling GORE & KERRY, "You two have at it and I'll wrestle the winner for the nomination!" :p

Yep, remember....... "This is a new Democratic party, Paul." It's sickening. Meanwhile that Bob Casey gets a speaking slot..... talk about boring, he is a major boring speaker! But he did pal around all over PA with BO so now he gets his reward.
