When aren't they upset?

Hillary would know to handle it much better:

With the rest of the political universe buzzing about a controversial new book on Sen. Barack Obama, one person is staying quiet: Sen. John McCain.

McCain and his advisers have said nothing about "The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality," an innuendo-filled, mistake-riddled biography written by Jerome R. Corsi that will debut at the top of the New York Times bestseller list this weekend.

Asked about the book Friday, McCain replied: "Gotta keep your sense of humor." A McCain aide later said he had misheard the question and thought it was about a television ad.

The Obama campaign was having none of it.

"While the smears piled up and the lies were exposed, John McCain spent six days in silence and on the seventh day said we should have a sense of humor," Obama spokesman Hari Sevugan said. "John McCain's response to this discredited book speaks volumes -- he is a George Bush candidate running a Karl Rove campaign with a Dick Cheney sense of humor."

It's not up to John McCain to defend their candidate. They do feel "entitled".

Why does John McCain have to defend BHO?!?!?
Am I getting something wrong?!?

The Obama camp is crying about this statement as small children would do.

Why is it McCain's responsibility?! That is hilarious.

Poor, poor baby. Well, if he somehow becomes the nom, then he will see that the McCain camp will NOT be silent about all these "smears" and "lies", and might lose that sense of humor. We'll see how hard BHO cries then.

Talk about serious delusions of grandeur and ego problems. oops - we forgot, no one is allowed to criticize THE ONE.....

I thought McCain's response was brilliant. He made obama and co look like the biggest bunch of whiners ever.

OMG! B. Obama thinks that nobody should ever say anything about him unless it is positive. Where was B. Obama when everyone was talking trash about H. Clinton? He never bothered to stand up and say anything until he thought he had clenched the Democratic nomination.

If he can't take any critisim now, what is he going to do when a hostile country makes threats against him and our nation? Who is he going to go crying to? Is he going to say they are being racist if they pick on him? It would almost be laughable if I thought the situation would never get to a serious point.

You are perfectly right!
That was the point Corsi tried to get to the people during the interview on fox.

What will happen if a leader of a hostile country calls him name or "useless", or whatever?!?
Will he just scream "raaaaaaaacist"?
That's not THAT a killer argument for trying to fight criticism.

lol. Something tells me he heard the question perfectly.

Of course he did.
McCain does have a very fine sense of humor.
Just listen to his speeches and debates. There is always a kind of irony in it ...

a very fine and smoothy way to argue with someone instead of screaming "raaaaaaaaaaacist" all the time. :D

I love Mccain's sense of humor! He "gets" irony and uses it so well! :D

It is amazing that bo expects Mccain to defend him. :p

Says who? MSM has lost it's credibility and so Americans are turning elsewhere. With the performance of the MSM this election cycle I am more likely to believe Corsi than anything put out by the Washington Post.

What is Senator Obama's problem? He is likable enough, right?

When you put yourself in the public spot light, you have to be prepared for all sorts of things....satire, criticism, etc. You must develop a thick skin and let things bounce off you. "Methinks BHO doth protest too much".

P.S. I love McCain's sense of humor.

I'm sure if this book was about McCain, Obama wouldn't be showing any effort to help McCain out.

He probably would be making an ad with snippets from the book in it.

You bet he would and he would have made sure his Gestapo had advance copies so they could role out the attack ads on the day of release.

They surely love to do the blame game. :D. And why would it be McCain's responsibility to protect Obama, after all, he is his opponent.

I also find this ironic, when Hillary was being attack, the Obama camp and the DNC weren't there to condemn any of the media biases against Hillary. But then again the party, itself, is also the one trying to push Hillary out. And now that it's Obama's turn, they would scramble right to their feet to protect their "messiah" and even try to blame the Republican candidate for not doing anything to protect their "messiah." This is just pathetic.
