All of the seasoned users of this forum know that I am a life-long Republican, so I want all newcomers to be aware. I am the only Republican moderator (at the moment). I am also a "maxed out" Hillary Clinton Supporter. You all need to know the rules of this forum:
This is a Pro-Hillary site above all else. Posts that are smearing or demeaning to Senator Clinton will be removed and you will be shown the door. You will not get a warning. Links to Senator Clinton bashing sites will also be cause for your removal.
We deal with fact-finding. We are not interested in your Uncle's blog about their opinion on anyone's religion, hairstyle, etc. Facts from reliable sources. We are educated consumers and we want to learn all we can about the candidates we like and those we dislike.
Not everyone here is voting for Senator McCain. Since all of the seasoned users here are Pro-Hillary, that is our common bond. Do not assume that all are going to vote McCain in Nov. If you are found harassing a member because they will NOT vote your way...you will be banned. Kapeesh?!
Sending PM's to members to force your opinions or phish for information is prohibited and you will be banned on the spot.
Any slanderous language used at others regarding their religion, race, sexual orientation, etc. will be cause for your removal post haste. We are a forum of human beings that are together to support one another under the common banner of Democracy (and Hillary).
We will be respectful to you and your opinions, but remember it is a two-way street. Pro-Hillary 100%. If you cannot handle these rules, then you have come to the wrong message board.
Thanks,
Optix
P.S. Please follow these guidelines when posting:
Please do not copy the entire article into the thread. Please respect copyright laws.
Please do not make emails public knowledge if you have not received permission from email author.
Please do not make email addresses from posted emails available (if you have permission from author).

You need to know that we don't particularly like MSNBC and CNN. But foul language and lurid photoshopped pics demeaning anyone in the media are really NOT welcome.
Pictures and Videos here have to be safe to be viewed by children or viewed at work.

I'd suggest that long-time members who we know can post about supporting obama or unifying or whatever they wish (doubt many want to anyway) but newly registered users who want to push party unity are NOT welcome, because they are trolls/obamabots.

I take your point about long-term members. And esecpially about newcomers clearly pushing an agenda.
I think, however, expressions of support for Obama in this forum will always lead to tension/conflict, and that's solely because this forum has mostly attracted a particular sub-group of HC supporters who oppose the DNC/Obama. Yes, there is diversity across members but for the most part this forum has opposed Obama's candidacy on all levels. To start adding pro-Obama topics to the mix doesn't seem to make sense given the history of this forum, and could fundamentally upset the overall dynamic of the forum and the group of poeple who curruently use it.
I doubt there are many Obama supporters left. Some of them said sayonara after Hillary's suspension speech because "they were more for the issues than for the candidate". Some may have stayed on and just lurk, being too scared to post anything pro-Obama.
It would however take a lot of nerve for a long-time member to come in here and talk about unifying after all we've been through!

I'd just say that it should be allowed for long-time members, because I strongly feel that -as a hillary clinton forum- we have to honor hillary's wishes in some way. She wants us to support obama, I WON'T but I think we can't generally ban opinions which are following hillary's lead. But I don't actually expect it to happen. And if I think it would just be a "good bye I have changed my mind and support the party now" thread. I highly doubt anyone who supports obama wishes to regularly post here.

Thanks for posting these ground rules! It is these rules, within themselves, that make this forum an unique and special environment where we, Hillary Clinton supporters, can gather and conduct an intelligent conversation across the Internet. Without these rules, this forum would no longer be able to function and would become a place of utter chaos.

ditto. I'll vote for McCain but I'm not happy to do so. I wish we would have a decent Democrat running. Palin doesn't make it much better. She's a woman, yes and she seems to be nice but she's no Hillary and more conservative than McCain I believe. There has to be a reason that the far-right is jumping for joy about this pick. I'm pleased that they are happy because McCain will badly need his base to win in november and I don't want Obama as president. But I don't believe someone who gets the full approval of Hannity, Rush & co is someone who shares my values. That's okay however because my vote will be a protest vote.

Right on, Muzza. After all the insults the bots have throw our way, the cyber attacks on pro-Hillary blogs, the demeaning, mean, nasty, vile comments on other sites about us for supporting BHO, it is unfathomable at this point that any of us long time members will suddenly do a 180 and decide we just have to vote for that lying cheating fraud. We know too much to overlook BHO's character flaws. So it wouldn't make sense to suddenly support him.
Like someone said, after HRC suspended and was for all intents and purposes out of contention, most who felt they needed to be a staunch Democrat left.
Like the name of the forum says: Hillary Clinton Forum. Nobama ever.

Heck Yeah!
But I think if one of our bloggers on here makes a point that he or she is voting for Obama, but doesn't try to "sell" anyone on Obama, this is okay. I don't like it when the Obama people call me a "#@!&*^ moron." Maybe we should refrain from doing that, too. I am guilty of using the word "bot" too much, I think.
This really makes you soul-search, doesn't it?
I think we have to think about respect, and realize that our political views are based on our ideology and value systems, and those an developed in us at 6 or 8 years of age.

so with due love and respect for Senator Hilary Clinton and former President Bill I am always for HILLARY and NEVER EVER for BHO or BIDEN... FOR DEMOCRACY and it's restoration that includes most especially ONE PERSON ONE VOTE, P.U.M.A. who is roaring-wanting a new PARTY and SERIOUS CHANGES TO THE VOTING laws and rules regarding the DEMS no more caucuses, and manipulation of the system and investigation into VOTER FRAUD, AGAINST SEXISM, Msyogyny, BIASED MEDIA MSNBC, CNN, NBC and wanting to be on top of any that continues (they are still holding HRC responsible for BHO's win ARGH!) and realize that all of us are free to vote as we choose and some will vote 3rd party, some McCain/Palin some won't vote and some will write-in Hillary and there may be other options... and always with respect, dialogue, passion and conversationand support...
thanks folks-love you and this place... FOR HILLARY and NOBAMA always... this year seriously considering voting McC-P or if HRC decides to be a write-in will go for her for sure!

This is one area of an Open Discussion Forum that I consider a gray area. On the one hand I detest censorship, but, there needs to be criteria posted for everyone so as not to overstep the boundaries of standard posting and outright bashing of a person. I can understand a democrat or republican champion the cause for their candidate but when it comes down to outright bashing of a candidate that should be checked at the door. I am a member of the democratic forum where many democrats have been tombstoned because they have expressed their opinions. I have seen good people kicked off that forum for little things that I thought were not offensive. I hope this forum doesn't take it to those extremes. However, people whom come here to post need to realize we are all adults and as such we should conduct ourselves as such. I believe, for the most part, people on this forum are good people but their are always the few whom spoil it for everyone else. These are the people who should be banned from this forum. However, let's not become militant about banning people and develop the reputation that the democratic site has developed. I hope you all understand my train of thought but if not I'm always open to questions, James

We are really in "funny season" in the sense of what we thought was right is now wrong and vice versa. We are in an upside down world politically in many ways. Without clarification and focus, things can really get confusing. I don't say I hate people, but I hate some of their actions lately. But I always love and respect the Clintons. They have been sorely victimized this year. I keep going back to this, and remember this is why I stay on here and to stand up for her because she stood for us. Thanks for this thread. I will do my best to respect your guidelines.

Thank you Muzza for clarifying this. I was just about to respond with my opinion, but no need now.

When submitting an article, don't copy the entire article...or even large chunks of it. "Fair Use" only extends so far.
We don't want Murray to be hauled into court for copyright infringement.
And unless the laws changed today, do not post emails you have received from others, unless you have their permission to distribute.
The author of an email retains the copyright; and it is just plain good manners not to "share" that which you received privately.
And it is good tactics, too. If people to whom we write know that we treat their communications with respect, chances are we just might get more responses.
Thanks.

I will have to add those to the top post. Thanks for bringing these back to light.

I deeply appreciate the fair rules
and the energy/integrity/commitment it takes to maintain/monitor this forum to maintain its respectful/civil tone!
Thank you to all who make that possible!!!!!
A thunderous applause!!!!!`
Stop shouting
Your thoughtful words carry the weight of your argument. No need to hurt my eyes.
Thanks.
I didn't realize large fonts are shouting. I thought all caps was shouting. I have to say that my work as an editor makes my eyes kind of tired, and so I personally appreciate it when people vary the font size and color, especially when all/most posts on a thread are in the default font, with no variation.
Also, I personally sometimes enlarge my font when I want to draw people's attention to a point of info that I think (rightly or wrongly) is important.
Sorry for hurting your and other's eyes.

I'm now registered as an Independent and will vote a split ticket but, bottom line, I support Senator Clinton's position on voting to ensure a Democrat majority in the House and Senate.
