(NEW YORK, NY)(REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION)(September 5, 2008) Now that the media hysteria about John McCain's vetting of Sarah Palin has been put to rest, how's this for a question: when are the mainstream media going to vet Barack Obama?
For the past four years, in a bestselling book and countless columns, I have been exposing the truth about Barack Obama.
Only limited financial resources have held us back from investigating even more of Obama's hidden history.
We were first with the Tony Rezko scandal, and first with many others. [See Obama: The Man Behind The Mask, www.OrangeStatePress.com, and www.ContrarianCommentary.blogspot.com]
And we are going to be first, again, on October 1st.
October 1st, the www.StopObamaCoalition.com and the www.CommitteeofOneMilliontoDefeatBarackObama.com, in conjunction with ContrarianCommentary.com, will begin vetting Barack Obama in a series of disclosures that is going to make the Democratic Party shudder.
Our research standards have survived the cacophony of relentless attacks from Obama supporters. Our standard: just the facts, and only reasonable conclusions drawn from the facts. Unlike some of my competing authors, Obama has never been able to question any of my facts or conclusions.
Why is it fair to say Obama has never been vetted?
Hillary Clinton was Obama's principal adversary in the Democratic primaries. But because she felt she was going to be the ultimate nominee, she avoided heavy-duty attacks on Obama. Every time she tried "little" attacks the media attacked her, not Obama. The result is that Obama was never vetted during the Democratic primaries.
As for the mainstream media, they are every bit as bad as they seem; indeed, they are far worse. We reported the Obama/Rezko links to the U. S. Grand Jury in November, 2006 [See Obama: The Man Behind The Mask]. It took until 2008 for Chicago newspapers to pretend they were covering the same ground with any meaningful inquiry.
There is a great deal of misinformation and disinformation about Obama floating around. Why? Because Obama has never told the truth about himself; he has never made full disclosure. There are still gaping holes in his personal history. He has tried to label legitimate inquiries as "smears," allowing confusion and speculation to persist as a substitute for facts and hard evidence.
Some of our vetting will involve reintroducing information that is in plain view but which has been ignored. Other information may be new. We will try to glue all of the small pieces into a coherent and comprehensive "big picture."
We will also be placing our research and commentary in a secure vault as it is prepared. Obama will not be able to attack the truth by attacking the messenger.
The only limits on our research will be our limited resources. But we will do the best and make the best of the resources we do have available.
This election is too important to truth the mainstream media. We don't; you shouldn't.
