Barack Obama’s connections to Oprah Winfrey and her New Age guru, Eckhart Tolle, are the least examined, yet most revealing, and by far the most potentially ruinous of the senator’s controversial associations. Obama claims to be a “committed Christian,” yet appears to support Oprah in the worldwide dissemination of Tolle’s and her virulent anti-Christian doctrine.

Interesting article. :)

Obama claims to be a Christian, but his religion Black Liberation Theology is not really Christian. It's based on the Muslim, Nation of Islam religion.

Obama claims Rev Wright brought him to Jesus, but that's the BLT-manufactured Jesus. Not the Christian Jesus.

I find it very likely that Obama has a distaste for traditional mainstream Christianity.

I recall from our research earlier when we were discovering Wright and Obama connections.. that Obama was personally involved in TUCC (Wright's Church) manifesto, which is a further extreme version of BLT.

The Oprah/Tolle doctrine asserts that “[a] significant portion of the earth’s population will soon recognize, if they haven’t already done so, that humanity is now faced with a stark choice: Evolve or die

This, and her support of Obama, are the reasons she has lost her audience.

I listened on tape to one book of Ekhart Tolle, so I am not an expert.
However, from what I know, the article is nonsense. Tolle does not intend to start a new religion. One idea that I remember was welcoming and accepting the present moment, hence the "Power of Now."

Mumbo Jumbo New Age bulls**t. You know...most of us have a "moral" compass and most of us know what is "the right thing" to do. We work, we take care of our families, we enjoy and support our friends...I don't need some extestential guru telling me that I need to "evolve". Hell...we are all "evolving" every day. People are learning to go without certain things because gas costs too damn much. Some people have figured, all by there selves...that heating oil is going to cost three times as much this year. Sure, we all aspire to be better human beings (well at least we do...not so sure about the Bots.)
We want good relations with spouses, friends, family, co-workers. We want a cleaner environment. We want to have a world where so sexism, racism, elitism exists. We really want to be the best human being we can be. We KNOW these things and we knew them before there was Oprah and we will contnue to know them when she FINALLY shuts her big mouth.

Unfortunately, we are all human...foibles, prejudices, superstitions, insecurity, hoggish-ness, and on and on and on. You just need to get up each day and try to do a better job of being a good human being than you did yesterday. Crap...I give better advice than her and I certainly will work cheaper. Oh...and Oprah...for being a dirty, no good back-stabbing bee-itch to as accomplished a candidate as there is, male or female and for throwing all of your "feminism" in the toliet in favor af one of your own race that is less qualified...November is going to be worse for you than sweeps week.

Obama is an opportunist. If Oprah's relationship to Tolle and his beliefs will help him get the presidency, so be it! He wants Oprah's money and support.
