Gloria Allred -- the heroic Clinton delegate from California -- will be our guest. We'll be talking about the delegate petition, the roll call vote, and what really happened on August 27th.

I'm very interested to hear what Gloria Allred's take was on Denver. She was on the front lines. Apparently at a breakfast (that Donna Brazile attended I believe) she wore a napkin as a gag and spoke out about the delegate intimidation.

She's a very famous high powered lawyer, I wonder if she'll be doing anything legally speaking.

Oh my! This one I'm definitely interested in!!! I've been thinking about her so much and wanting to hear her take on the situation. This should be a good one, folks!

Thank you for the reminder and link.

You're welcome. I don't always tune into these shows but I must say after months of going through hell with that roll call I would like to know "what really happened on August 27th"...

Well she just lost me when she said we have to "battle hard and not let this get away." Desparaging of Palin...
Thinks we should all vote Obama no matteer what went on at convention/caucuses etc. Sorry GLoria...but the Dems are going to get exactly what they deserve.

Gloria is full of $--t and koolaid. She was interruptive to a caller, "Amy," who stood up to her very well. Hope she enjoys BO's tax increases, because they'll hit her tax bracket bigtime hard.

Yeah that was rough. I think that people who've been in the political world for so long can't even conceive of the kind of defection that will happen this year. I think she was as surprised as we were at our reaction: smart, educated women across the country who are clearly very conflicted with Obama and willing to vote for a republican to ensure the leadership changes.

She will probably be thinking more about this show in the coming weeks than we will. As she sees the polls, she will think about it. When she talks to fellow Democrats, she will say, "You know, I did this online radio show and those Hillary supporters are NOT ON BOARD by a long shot. Obama has a big problem."

Making her aware of how we really feel rather than the media saying "all Hillary supporters will vote Obama" she will have her eyes opened.

Aside from the Obama cringes, I think it was all good.

The moderate FAILED to keep the show on track with its subject which was supposed to be about what happened at the convention.

There was a little talk of it, and then it went to VOTE FOR OBAMA show.

Alred is a lawyer and very good at pushing her agenda. A total turn off.

The Mod and Alred talked for the majority of the show and finally took a few questions at the end.

It was all about why we should vote for Obama using abortion as the bogie man.

Obama wants to increase capital gains taxes to 28%. That means if you sell your home and make a profit of $100,000 the govt will take $28,000. Something to think about and I also don't think he is committed to healthcare. I think he is only interested in crowning himself

This is a man who made his living from promoting himself and the government. He doesn't understand entrepreneurialism. He wants to tax us big time and redistribute the wealth.

Like to his annenburg project which was supposed to improve education. instead they too $100 million and funnelled it to "ethnic identity" projects while turning down projects to learn algebra and teaching english to spanish speakers.

I can just imagine the cronyism that would go on -- just like Bush - unqualified people making big $$ at our expense and getting nothing done. his education project was a complete failure.

that's why he has to live off our money.

I'm adding more: I understand her opinion. She is a Dem. party high-level involved person. Of course she wants the Dems. in office. As for her not getting civil rights cases righted--that seems to me off the wall over dramatic. I am more convinced that what she says just confirms that not supporting Obama is the way to go--whether it is abstaining, voting for X or Y, or for McCain. (Preferably the latter, for me.) I do not understand how Allred can tout Obama in an objective way. His experience and comrades should be red flags to a lawyer.

The conversation got off topic, which was the convention. She ended up shilling for Obama, and over and over.

I listened to some of it then had to turn it off. Gloria sounded very bitter and not just at the DNC. She was nasty to the callers that weren't voting for Obama.

I never liked Gloria Allred. She is a media hound and takes on controversial cases strictly to get her name on TV.
