Should send Emails to SNL and have them reprise this clip during one of their skits or perhaps email the McCain campaign or SNL to have John come back to do a latest hits album. There are a hundred way they could use this material in thier New Skits.
Great find and so timely.
I like John McCain, but I hope he keeps his day job! :)

That's funny. It reminds me of a story.... About 20 years ago a group of my friends were out together and passed one of those recording booths.... So we ponied up a few bucks and made our 1 and only recording.... We chose "People".... After we sang about 4 lines, the guy in the booth said "Stop... please stop" You need to pick another song that you can actually hold the tune! :D
P.S. We ended up singin "On The Road Again"....

John McCain is a hilarious guy. Really.
He was the guy who told his Vietnamese captors the names of the Green Bay Packers.
Youtube has some great clips of him. He's repeated the "blood relatives and paid staffers" joke a few times. There's also clips of him talking at a school and being asked by some dimwit kid if he was going to die soon. He takes the high road and then at the very end (in good humor) says "you little jerk". There's another quote of him saying "I'm older than dirt and have more scars than Frankenstein". There was the falling asleep joke at the 9/11 forum. After he lost his 2000 bid for the presidency, he joked about how he had all the money he needed, but it was unfortunately all in his supporters' pockets and that after he lost, he slept like a baby--slept for 2 hours, cried, slept for 2 hours, cried. LMAO.
I've seen other clips of him being very jokey. This is probably one of his best, though.
Telling about his mother wanting to wash his mouth out with soap for shouting obscenities at the Viet Cong and his 96-year-old mother being denied a rental car in Paris because of her age and buying one:

Gawd! Thank you for posting that. I had forgotten about it. I enjoyed it much more this time given that I no longer associate myself with Democrat Party given the corrupt leadership. McCain was BRILLIANT in that parody! I'm starting to really like this guy!

It's still hilarious.
Obama is such a bore in comparison--he is so arrogant. McCain has always been funny and is so humble that he doesn't mind making jokes even about himself.
So far Obama's feeble attempts at humor have been insults. He doesn't have a humble or gentlemanly bone in his body.
McCain is almost too humble for his own good sometimes. Obama has been taking advantage of it.
I mean... look at the difference between the tones of the DNC vs. the RNC. The RNC had tons of humor and fun intermixed with the real issues. I almost cried when the P.O.W. tortures were described. It was my first time really hearing any of that in detail. The DNC just showed me endless amounts of anti-American spirit and pomposity, not to mention it was stolen. The RNC just seemed like buckets of fun and patriotism. The DNC was far more "Hollywood" phony and produced--and Obama pumps up the pomposity factor by a zillion. Add in all the grotesque fawning from the media and it's like bad aftertaste.
I mean, can you really see Obama totally taking the mickey out of himself? The problem with the Hollywood fundraiser with Babs is that everybody thinks he's one of them.
Suffice to say:
McCain & Palin - Very funny! Connected with the people!
Obama & Biden - Arrogant, scary, pompous, socialist puppet of even scarier folks with... What's he doing there again?

I love this, should use it to refute BO's fundraiser as several above said!
BO could never pull that off. McCain has sort of a Johnny Carson manner in his humor.

Many of us get to a certain point in life where you are happy about who you are, and have reached the maturity where you knpw people are going to think what they think and it no longer bothers you.
You are confident that your record speaks for it's self and you are comfortable in your own skin. Then it is easy to poke fun at yourself without any hangups about what people will think, because by that stage you really do not give a damn. You also have to be above all humble, age does that to most people no matter how much fire and brimstone they had when younger. This is John McCain and this is what sets him apart from Obama.
Will Obama age gracefully or will he always remain arrogant and have a chip on his shoulder? (Sharpton) Only time will tell, but in the meantime we can not afford those type of attributes in a US President.

Hah! I'm kinda laughing because I'm actually eating a big arugula salad as I type this (Trader Joe's! $2.49!), but what a hilarious video!
Of course I'm not voting on personality alone, but - my opinion - John McCain just seems so much more real than Obama. McCain is a person where Obama is more like a marketing concept.

This is a great thread. Humility is definitely a trait that McCain has complete market dominance on. I like humility, great leaders have it...Obama don't.

If theres one person other than Hillary who knows what its like to be sandbagged and be the target of race baiting by a sleazy, dimwitted and inexperienced boob, it's John McCain, and i'm referring to the 2000 republican primaries, Bush and Rove.
And Obama has the nerve to say McCain is Bush III. He's the ONE republican senator thats furthest from Bush.
