I was watching abc or cnn - can't remember - I actually heard them say that clinton is using the "Tanya Harding option". I was so mad, I had to walk away. Now I wish I could remember who said it. It wasn't anonymous.

Of course!!! A strong woman is made to feel as though she is "over the top" so as to convince her to not be as strong...
AIN'T GONNA' WORK!
Hillary isn't asking for anyone's permission to be tough nor is she asking for approval to be assertive !
Hillary is chasing a dream for a better America... get on board OR deal with it!

Posted this. I hope DNC people get to read it.. as also some of the bloggers there.. and I hope they get it before the mega disillutionment (and the associated down days) that I went thru.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I will not vote for hate against America. He will bear his own hateful cross or whatever it is.
Hillary has handled the entire situation and uproar with grace and dignity.
In fact, if you reporters had not asked her the question about it, she would not have spoken up on that subject.
I think it is very misguided of people to assume that Hillary's supporters are high school drop outs. Quite the contrary. They dont feel the need to beat their drum.
There is a saying you may have heard.. The potter takes a year; the stick takes a minute. Barack did that with his 37 minutes teleprompted speech and pulled the country back many years. I believe it has worsened the civil reform in this country greatly and made all parties highly polarized about a subject that was in healing mode.. except perhaps where hatred was bred and kept alive.
Barack is ruining his chances all on his own. His campaign, supporters, and his constituency (including media) is doing a fine job of keeping these matters alive.
By the way, I did read the Hamas manifesto reprint that Rev.Wright sent to all the church goers. I wonder how Israel will feel about working with America.
I also learned that Barack has never been to Europe. Ever.
I am sure you have done some serious side-by-side comparison of all this.
Since you are probably as educated as I am, it should be easy enough to think through the decision. Question is whether we want real informed democracy in this country and whether we want to look into the hope chest and find Rezko, Auchi, Ayers, Odengo, Arab connections, hatred of America, Hamas connections, competing interests such as hospital linkages.. all constituting slick soil on which to build a castle of nothing with no blue print. Honestly, that is all we have seen so far in the hope chest so far. The change it promises is not looking very promising.
After this started to come out in late January, I started to research Hillary very closely, and had the good fortune to visit www.thehillaryiknow.com and was quite surprised by some of what I learned. It motivated me to look up her campaign website where I found her absolutely BRILLIANT plans, which are most comprehensive and concise.. they are systemic and again, just plain Brilliant.
The withdrawal from the high I had felt was a painful experience and I wanted to deny it for a long time. Luckily for me, I bumped into that website.
Anyway, I have shared with you what I learned. I hope it helps you.
My siblings - all well educated - are supportive of Hillary, based on the work she has done, her platform and positions. We all got there independently and are very happy with this.
Personally, I cannot endorse her more for the work she has done for NY, which is quite something.. Dont you think it is odd that despite everything, I was taken in by Barack for over a year? Think about it... It is not odd.. I was just going by my emotions until I got a glimpse of what is under the hood there.
We owe it to world peace to THINK this ttime, and not just go by our feel-good feelings. I think it is quite unfair to not consider the ACTUAL work that Hillary has done. Ever consider this.. It was actually Hillary's work in Arkansas related to education system reform that was Bill's highest accomplishment... and that helped elect him to the President's office. There is a lot more info like that you can get... if you just care enough for the future to open your minds and look.
Again, the best start is www.thehillaryiknow.com
And, no, I am not a campaign staff. Just a convert who wasted more than a year in not getting the light on this, trying to make up for what I did not do earlier on.
Thanks.

I saw it on abc world news tonight. I was wrong that I heard the person actually say it, it was Jake Tapper stating "a washington official" told him that Clinton is resorting to the "Tanya Harding option" in that the only way she can win is by busting his knee caps (or something like that). It's very hurtful hearing this on world news tonight, when everyone's watching.

Love it! Keep going. We have to get all that info out re the Islamic connection everywhere. Eventually someone will pick it up and put it on TV. The republicans know about it they are waiting for the General Election. We have to get it out before then and get Hillary to the Presidency.
Some reporters are trying but not hard enough as all they have to do is google all those names and all hell breaks loose when the info comes pouring out.
I also learned that Barack has never been to Europe. Ever..

I also learned that Barack has never been to Europe. Ever..
How did you find out?
How did I find out? On one of the news items, David Gergen said in response to a question from the anchor AC that "No he has not been to any country in Europe" and the anchor although he understood it, did not ask any question.. Go figure!
One of the many strikes against CNN... By the way, I am officially off CNN along with a large family and most of you, I hope.
On a related note: When General Electric (the company) wanted to acquire Honeywell, one of the reasons why the acquisition did not go through was lack of good prior working relationship with Europe, in particular Belgium.
Europe is quite a proud set of countries.
Also on a related note, and linked to another topic from today:
What we saw of Hillary's visit to Bosnia is a VERY UNUSUAL RECEPTION for a first lady. PUT IT IN CONTEXT!! She was first lady of USA.. There were no dignatories of the country.. no red carpet.. no people immediately next to the staircare.. they came out and walked very fast to the people standing quite a bit away.. and the blades were still running. If you saw, she came out of the hold. Apparently, both were wearing body armor and that was in the 2nd part of the interview which was not aired by all these clips.. If I find that part, I will post it.
And, Thanks.

This is another case of blaming the messengers. Ruining BO, Please. BO ruined his own chances in his associations with people like Wright. He blew it. He brought this on himself. He gave the racist speech. This pitty for BO is outrageous. Do we want to win the general against McCain by having people feeling sorry for BO, forgiving his every misstep. DNC quit this nandy pandy politics, and lets win. We are not in this election to feel good.

I think Hillary Clinton has been remarkably kind to Obama.
Maybe I'm a bad person, but I think she has played too nice with him. That's done no one any favors. The GOP will not play nice with him. Look what they did to Gore, look what they did to Kerry. They made national jokes of them both.
Obama should have waited 8 years. He could have had it all. He needs to be Tonya Harding-ed.
His campaign song should switch from "Sign, Sealed, Delivered" to "Didn't We Almost Have It All".
If not Hillary, it's going to be Democrats for McCain for about 400 of us here in Chicago.

It is painful to watch defenders of Barack Obama tying themselves into knots trying to evade the obvious.
Some are saying that Senator Obama cannot be held responsible for what his pastor, Jeremiah Wright, said. In their version of events, Barack Obama just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time — and a bunch of mean-spirited people are trying to make something out of it.
It makes a good story, but it won’t stand up under scrutiny.

DNC had the easy chance of winning, Obama has polarized the DNC, Howard dean has screwed the Party. All these idiots hiding their idiocy behind Hillary by repeatedly accusing her for no reason , for no reason at all.
My math says that Obama and Howard dean should gracefully quit and exit Dem party for the benefit of this country.

Actually, if I were Hillary's advisor. This is what I suggest. Do whatever it takes to get the nomination. Even if she does not secure the nomination, it will results in so much damage to Obama that he will lose the election as well as his Illinois Senate seat. She can run unopposed in 2012 and no one in their right mind would even throw their hat into the ring.
After 12 years, the Presidency will be hers because people will not pay any attention to the next Republican candidate.
So, I think this is a good option.
So, Senator. Obama, how long did you know that Rev. Wright was justifying 9/11 attacks before you may or may not have denounced his 9/11 comments. Technically, we are not sure what statements you have condemned. In a 2007 interview to NYT, you said Rev. Wright was trying to be provocative regarding his justification of 9/11. Obviously, you have not condemned those statements as you were aware of those statements in 2007. You condemned those statements only that you became aware of after Fox News replayed for your benefit.
Now, will Obama dodge this question and try to see if Bill Clinton used racial code when he said that "Hillary loves this country very much".

They are all paid participants anyway.
We are NOT, and We are voting for Hillary!!"

My comment to ABC:
TONYA HARDING? ABC, and all media, needs to stop quoting "anonymous" sources. Just like anonymity allows the most base and ugly parts of our humanity to come out... This is so ugly. Hillary scares the bejeezus out of people whose world is ordered by patriarchy. Her leadership would turn their world upside down and the disorientation is scary. But it's not life or death, people. Calm down. Everything will be fine when she's president. And she can do it without hiring thugs to whack her opponent. The MSM has been doing that to Hillary for a long time now -- but she knows how to get right back up.

You know, if they want to call Hillary as Tonya Harding. I guess that makes Obama as Nancy Kerrigan. And we all know that Nancy Kerrigan wasn't as sterling as people wanted us to think she is. Obama isn't as sterling as the press wants us to believe either.

This article really ticked me off! The following is a message I just sent to the DNC:
THIS CAME OUT TODAY:
[I]Political Punch
Power, pop, and probings from ABC News Senior National Correspondent Jake Tapper
Democratic Party Official: Clinton Pursuing 'The Tonya Harding Option'
March 25, 2008 3:44 PM
l just spoke with a Democratic Party official, who asked for anonymity so as to speak candidly, who said we in the media are all missing the point of this Democratic fight.
The delegate math is difficult for Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, the official said. But it's not a question of CAN she achieve it. Of course she can, the official said.
The question is -- what will Clinton have to do in order to achieve it?
What will she have to do to Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, in order to eke out her improbable victory?
She will have to "break his back," the official said. She will have to destroy Obama, make Obama completely unacceptable.
"Her securing the nomination is certainly possible - but it will require exercising the 'Tonya Harding option.'" the official said. "Is that really what we Democrats want?"
The Tonya Harding Option -- the first time I've heard it put that way.
It implies that Clinton is so set on ensuring that Obama doesn't get the nomination, not only is she willing to take extra-ruthless steps, but in the end neither she nor Obama win the gold.
(In this metaphor, presumably, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., would be Oksana Baiul. Does that make former President Bill Clinton Jeff Gillooly?)
- jpt
HOW DARE YOU! THE DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL COMMITTEE IS TEARING THIS PARTY APART. I WOULD SUGGEST YOU PAY MORE ATTENTION TO WHAT KINDS OF STUFF THE OBAMA CAMPAIGN IS DOING, AND THE TYPES OF PEOPLE AND ACTIVITIES HE HAS BEEN ENGAGED IN FOR THE LAST 10 YEARS BEFORE MAKING ANONYMOUS STATEMENTS SUCH AS THIS OR TRYING TO MAKE HILLARY CLINTON QUIT. SHE HAS MORE CLASS AND IS FAR AND AWAY THE BEST CANDIDATE FOR THE PRESIDENCY. THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IS ABOUT TO LOSE A LARGE PORTION OF ITS MEMBERSHIP AS A RESULT OF THE DNC'S OBVIOUS BIAS. NOT ONE RED CENT WILL YOU RECEIVE FROM ME - AND MANY OTHERS - IF HILLARY IS NOT THE NOMINEE.

Here's my comment (I'm "Anya"):
What Tanya Harding tactics is this "anonymous source" referring to? Not fighting fair? What about refusing to seat the Michigan and Florida delegates and refusing to let millions of people's votes count? Sounds pretty Tanya Harding-ish to me.

The Tonja Harding issue is really a put down. Does not even comare to this race for the nominee.
Obama has done more dirty politics ( and possibly illegal activities ) than even George Bush did to win the elections and start and keep this illegal war going.
So we can say that Obama is pulling a George Bush on Hillary.
And if that is not strong enough to describe his actions, then
we can say Obama is pulling an Mike Tyson on Hillary.
And even stronger, we can say Obama is pulling an OJ Simpson on Hillary.
Rude and Crude and Illegal - That is Obama motto.

This has to have been quoted from a DNC member within the Obama campaign, it plays perfectly into the portrait they're trying to paint of Hillary. The whole Tonya Harding analogy is a perfect gimmick for the media to pick up on, I guess Obama's camp feels it's safer to do their dirty work through anonymous sources now.
tcbwriter
03-26-2008, 07:05 PM
Well gee, how very convenient!
If they anonymous then nobody can ask Obama to distance himself from them, nobody can connect it to him in any way.
Do you hear that Clinton Campaign? Want to point out the nasty, derisive and dishonest tactics of Obama et al? Have somebody talk to the media "anonymously". Then again, they would undoubtedly forget that it was anonymouse and . . . oops . . . spill the beans on national TV. It's that double standard thing again.
This is when I get most frustrated! When we just can't seem to do anything to change it. The media has the power, the DNC has the power and there doesn't seem to be a thing we can do about it.
All the groups I used to belong to because I thought they were collectively fighting the powers that be on behalf of the people, like Democracy for American and MoveOn.org, have turned out to be no different than the rest once they gain a little power.
This is utterly disgusting negative female stereotyping. Of course Hillary will not respond, and the media will not call them on it. But if someone in her campaign said that Obama was resorting to the "OJ Simpson" tactics of deny, deny, deny in the face of evidence, all hell would break loose.

I heard it too, but I think it was Fox. I heard it several times. Stunning. How could they stoop to that? They said that it was all over the blogosphere and they were just passing it on. Disgusting! And then Fox had that pig of a human being, Dick Morris, on saying the most ridiculous things about Hillary.
This guys needs to be targeted with emails.

I agree with you Suzan. But I wouldn't insult pigs by putting them in the same category as Dick Morris.
I am a little tired of anonymous sources who seem to be in "high places of authority in the DNC", or "high up in the Clinton Campaign" or just sitting on God's right side. If these people are so heralded, so incredibly important that their words shake our democracy, shouldn't they have the courage to give their names when they say things derogatory to the candidacy of Senator Clinton? I can just see them running off to the woods, looking furtively behind themselves as they rush back to their places under rocks (oh yeah, I apply that image both to the "journalists" and their "anonymous sources").

I saw Adrienne4 left this comment. :D
Guess what - I'm a "Democratic Party official" too (director on a county party executive board), and I say
HILLARY, HANG IN THERE!
WE'RE WITH YOU ALL THE WAY TO DENVER!
BTW, I guess in this scenario Obama would be Nancy Kerrigan, clutching his knee and whining, “Why me, why meeee?!”
Heh.
I can see Obama making the "ugly face" holding his knee...

I was watching abc or cnn - can't remember - I actually heard them say that clinton is using the "Tanya Harding option". I was so mad, I had to walk away. Now I wish I could remember who said it. It wasn't anonymous.
That man should be removed from the DNC. His remarks were no different than
calling Hillary a "monster".: :(:(

I want to know what kind of a job is "strategist" At least half the people on these shows is identified as " Democratic strategist" or "Republican strategist."
No mention of who they are actually working for. Or is "strategist" a code word for "unemployed" ??
Dick Toe-Sucker Morris and Oliver Disgrace-to-the-Uniform North are the two main reasons why I never watched Fox news.
And now the Adoration of The Anointed One has forced me to turn to Fox.
Yuccch.
