A temp agency I have worked for insists they cannot mail me the paycheck for a job I completed. They seriously said their temps stuff--but oddly not their regular employee stuff--gets lost in the US mail.
The State Labor relations agency has sent them a notice requiring I recieve my check via the mail.
So now the temp agency upset with ME. I allegedly erred by having the state place heat on them to recieve my paycheck!
Apparently, I was supposed to go without my check. Since I use mass transit and their office is not easily accessible, they wanted me to not reccieve it for work which I had previously performed.
It's very frustrating. I have not had such a problem with other temp agencies. They either mail me the paycheck or have let me set up a direct deposit account.
I am definently not taking a job with these people again unless I am VERY certain everything gets worked out.
