That defining moment happened at Carson City, California, where Sarah Palin addressed throngs of an estimated 20,000 at the tennis stadium at the Home Depot Center.

The throngs who showed up to see and hear Republican Vice President candidate Sarah Palin were chanting, "USA! USA!"

Obama supporters on the same scene fomenting for revolution were chanting "No USA! "No USA!"

In that moment in Carson City, the difference between John McCain and Barack Obama supporters could not have been any starker.

Funny, I got a call last night from my oldest son, wanting to know the name of Obama's Kenyan cousin. I told him it was Odinga and asked why he wanted to know. It seems that one of his friends wanted to know so that he could tell his mother. I know his friend is against Obama and it seems that most of his family is too. His mom has been doing some research on Obama.

BTW: This friend and his family has been taking a lot of heat for not supporting Obama. They are black and live in an area that is almost all black. I am glad that my son has such intelligent friends. I also went to school with this young man's mom. Very nice family. Too bad they have to endure crap because they don't like Obama.

Some leftists who support Obama are basically anti-American in that they're for socialism and are against capitalism. Sure, left unchecked and unregulated, capitalism can do a lot of harm while also doing a lot of good. Just look at American history. With a melding of capitalism and social responsibility, we can have a system that works well for business, our economy, and people. I've never noticed - until now - how cruel some of these so-called Democrats can be? The ones who confuse patriotism with being a "redneck" (forgive the term), "uneducated," or worse. In my college class today - not even a political class - some Obama supporter started talking about the so called "idiocy" of people voting for McCain. It sickens me to hear AMERICAN CITIZENS say how "stupid" the USA is, how "stupid" and "ugly" Americans are... because they're not voting Obama.

Of course, I do feel like our country could stand some improvement. I don't think we're perfect or better than anyone else, contrary to what these America-hating bots seem to think.
