This is great. I think we need to all send an email to CNN, and say thank you for informing the American people, it is about time. I also left a comment on the YOUTUBE.
SOMEONE TAKE A SCREENSHOT, it might be scrubbed.

Obama keeps on getting younger and younger for when this stuff happened.
1st I heard 9 then , 8, now 7. Next we will hear it all happened before he was born.

I'm speechless. Even their spin on it at the end can't change the overriding message here...Obama has lied and lied repeatedly about his connections to Ayers.

Good but they need to let people know about what Ayers STILL believes about America.
This report was good, but did not mention that he has never apologized.
Still, this is progress!!

Am I mistaken or was unrepentant in there somewhere? Maybe Palin said it? Either way, I agree that this is progress!! I hope they keep pushing this hard...and start going after his other shady connections.
By the way, I loved the part about money going to Rev. Wright's church. Guess who's baaack?? :D

Amazing! The only thing now being left out by Hannity and others reporting on this is that Ayres method of teaching involves indoctrination to his political ideology and Obama must agree with it since he's opened these training camps of Obama Youth. Pass that along to everyone, everywhere!

The clip was good. But again Anderson trying to down play it...
Like when Anderson tryed to down play Rev Wright, saying is this even
news..They new about this, again until Hannity had it on they were
not going to do a thing, just leave the American voter hanging!
cnn had to cover it to try and do damage control...
Notice they did not contact the camps and have there political team cover it!
Will they cover this!! will they call them racist!

Slum Lord Obama Radio Ad Released by Black Republican Group
Radio ads exposing the real Sen. Barack Obama as a Slum Lord and a far left-wing radical have been released by the National Black Republican Association (NBRA) and are being aired in battleground states. One ad is about the shocking Boston Globe investigation that includes a video of poor blacks living in the Obama-funded slum lord projects who condemn Obama for not caring about them. That investigation can be found on the Internet at: http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2008/06/27/grim_proving_ground_for_obamas_housing_policy/?page=1 (http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2008/06/27/grim_proving_ground_for_obamas_housing_policy/?page=1)

They've had solid proof about this all this time. But they choose now to bring it up? Hmm.
Glad I was sitting down.
I got the impression Anderson wasn't fully aware of the contents of this report. He seemed a little taken aback. I think the reporter got his story in, somehow, past CNN approval.
CNN is not running the tightest ship these days. Their new "citizen reporting" feature the other day mistakenly said Steve Jobs had a heart attack, causing Apple stock to drop. CNN later issued a correction and the stock went back up.
Still, I'd like to think this signals a more open mind at CNN, but.... we'll see. We should encourage them for more of these reports - keep them honest, for a change.

I know this may come as a suprise to many of you, but not everyone at CNN are in the tank for Obama. This particular report is from investigative unit correspondant Drew Griffin and producer Kathleen Johnston. They are both award winning journalist who are also responsible for the Alice Palmer story, the very fair one hour documentary of Sarah Palin, the shocking interview with the Palin's ex-brother-in-law (the trooper), the piece featuring Sarah's family and Joe Biden's Earmarks story. They have taken alot of crap from the koolaid drinkers at CNN and alot of their work is not getting any play. If you are going to send a thank you note, please send it to them directly or be sure to mention them specifically because objective journalist are truely a dying breed.

I contacted NBRA to personally thank them.
That explains it, thanks Hoosier. I still think we should send thanks to Anderson - tell him if he starts reporting the facts, the ratings will go up and he could become a star. :)

cnn HAD TO SAY something about it as it is being brought out in the campaign trail - they have to... but they and especially Anderson Cooper watered it down... so up to everyone to blog blog blog and not have it watered down. Watered down to give talking points to the obamabots - the excuse etc.
Glad this particular correspondant Drew Griffin brought it out - and hopefully he will be able to bring out the whole thing - the Woods Board for instance and they money sent to Islamic radicals through it.... Time for the truth.....

Hoosier, it's a shame that they don't run the whole news programs. This is what CNN needs and that is to start reporting "real" news. I just think it's criminal not to inform the public. If the public is fooled into thinking the candidate is solid, that to me if a form of fraud.
My point was to encourage Anderson Cooper to keep his show more honest, even if he inadvertently hosted the factual report.
Not that it'll happen.

Remember: THIS IS CNN! And it is some kind of success that they start TALKING about this and are connecting BHO to Ayers!

It was obvious to me that Drew Griffin's investigative report was being minimized by Anderson Cooper. We owe Griffin a thank you and perhaps a courage award.

Well holy hell - I'm amazed that CNN bothered to report this at all. Bet it killed AC to actually have to air this piece. It wasn't as strong of a piece as it could have been (they missed one salient point by not revealing that Ayers has said he is not sorry for the bombings and wishes they had done more) but it's a start. Hopefully this will raise enough questions in the general publics eyes so they start truly looking into Obama!

I sure hope so. The way the guy tried to spin it at the end makes me sick.
There is no way someone in the past could have gotten to where BHO is running for president of the US with all of his horrible associates of the past. At any other time in our history, someone like BHO would have been laughed out of any nomination swiftly.

I find the excuse that Obama never knew anything about him, some of the biggest bunch of sh!t since the claim of WMD in Iraq. The report said that the city of Chicago gave Ayers the Citizen of the Year Award in 1997. I am sure that the Ayers name was known in many afluent circles. I do not believe that the Ayers dark side was not at least whispered at water coolers and in bathrooms. Give me a break, Obama! Fess up, you faker!

Okay, this is why Sarah Palin needs to keep bringing up MORE of Obama's radical associates (and there's at least what--20 or so that we know of by now?) because it FORCES the MSM to report on it. Even if they try to diffuse it, they have to investigate and report on it, which will start making people suspicious of him. So I hope she starts going through the whole list of his radical/terrorist/marxist associates!

Check out this 1996 article in the Wall Street Journal: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB841250572313371500.html?mod=googlewsj
Mr. Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn, were both formerly members of the Weathermen, the radical antiwar group that in 1969 ignited a four-day outburst of mob violence in the streets of Chicago known as the "Days of Rage." The pair spent years underground before resurfacing in 1980 and have long since returned to normal, productive lives, he as a professor at the University of Illinois, she as the director of a Northwestern University legal-aid project.
But journalists in a "where are they now" frame of mind periodically seek such people out, especially this week, as the Democrats convene in Chicago. Retrospective looks at the violence around the '68 Chicago convention saturate coverage of this year's conclave, though for now protesters can't even seem to get arrested in this town.
But the spirit of '68 seems to be the last thing Democrats Online wants to invoke. David Lytel, its chief architect, who also co-designed the hugely popular White House Web presence, hopes the new site will forge a unified message of support for Democratic candidates, much as Republican media like GOP TV and Rising Tide magazine have done. "The Republicans have shown us the way in partisan media," he says.
But flyers promoting the launch party at the home of the celebrated former fugitives fairly shout: "The progressive wing of the Democratic party hasn't gone underground, we're on the Internet."
"I was just kind of amazed that this Chicago '68 stuff had this resonance in the press," says Mr. Lytel of the reaction to his flyers. An article in the New York Times made it sound as if the couple is sponsoring the site. Mr. Lytel says the party was only held here because he was stuck for a Chicago site and a friend bailed him out by arranging for the use of the couple's home.

I'm not impressed. This is the MSM doing damage control so that Ayer's won't have the same impact as people learing about Wright. Throughout the whole segment the underlying theme was "so what" "big deal" and "what's the problem".... well, I have a big prolem with it--that's the deal.

Does Anderson Cooper really think we are that stupid! He asks why this should make a difference because all that violence was in the past. So why have life sentences for murderers?
Like my husband said, "if I was a pall of Charlie Mansons because he got off on a technicality, what would people think of me?" This goes to the root of Obama's character. He has none.

10-07-2008, 05:01 PM
So they finally got around to talking about this. And yes, they did say Ayers was unrepentant and they pointed out that Obama lied about how well he knew Ayers and that he did launch his political career in the living room of Ayers' home!
This calls into question Obama's bad judgments and continued pattern of lying over and over. Like St. Peter who denided Jesus three times... how long before the friggin' cock crows on all the lies Barack Obama has told?????
Over and OVER he denied working with him, knowing him "that well", denied how long he knew him, now he actually has the GALL to say he didn't know Ayers was a TERRORIST!? This is his latest LIE du jour.
Give me a freakin' break. This country better wake up!!!

This is Obama supporters main argument..it was in the past. Last night on the blogs they were in shock that Palin called Ayers a terrorist..They are actually defending this man. Barbara Walters defended Ayers this morning on the View, and on Air America today, the left wing host are saying that McCain is more of a terrorist than Ayers because McCain fought in an unjust war...Have we all gone crazy or what.
