I am going to ask you all politely to tone down the negativity and the Sky is Falling/Chicken Little posts and threads.

There are a lot of members here working very hard to elect McCain & Palin, and those members do not believe everything the MSM is trying to tell us.

So, out of repsect for them and for the candidates themselves, who are in it to win it, and out of repsect for those who do not think the race is over yet, no matter what the media tells us, no more negativity, please.

THIS RACE IS NOT OVER.

Thanks.

I agree with Sandy so much. Most of us who have been on this forum for some time know BHO's ploy. When the election isn't going his way, or too much bad press coverage, he pulls out an ace-in-the-hole. And, this is Powell. (love to know how much it cost his campaign?)

Joe and Ayers can't be ignored and BHO has lost ground in the polls all week--and they're phony!!! So, take you meds and get on those phones, knock on doors, or letters to editors.

I for one ablsolutley believe McPalin will win.

I am as liberal as they come, and my eyes have been opened by the liberal media and bias, I no longer watch or read it... I get my US news from international media sources..

I cannot wait to pull the lever for the next president of our great beloved country, and for me it will be the first republican I have ever voted for in my entire voting record, a republican, but more imporant, a couple of great americans!

Ouch one: $150 million in September.

Ouch two: 100,000 strong crowd in Saint Louis.

Ouch three: Colin Powell endorsed Senator Obama today.

:slow smile:

And yet, the race keeps tightening, after a truly painful two weeks. Why isn’t this guy twenty points ahead by now?

Thanks, Sandy. I, for one, am not worried because as someone else said, 'It's not over till it's over.' Many other polls in past years showed one candidate ahead of the other and it did not prove to be true. Polls can be 'weighted' by interviewing more of one party than the other so I don't place much faith in polls.

Also one can point to BO's recent behavior to see how desperate the campaign is...

Since the democrats are polled more than republicans, I really believe that McCain is ahead. He is also making a surge in the battleground states.

McCain has got momentum with a plethora of hot buttons to choose from that make OB look bad.
This makes me suspect of anyone who would post "sky-is-falling" sentiments.

This is not the time for any negativity. This is the time to stay focused upon our goal, which is to elect McCain/Palin.

We have been down this road with Obama before with Hillary. We do not want history to repeat itself and we have the experience with Hillary to help prevent it from happening again with McCain. Everyone needs to just stay focused for a couple more weeks!

Positive thoughts only, please! :)

One point regarding Colin Powell. How many AAs will this bring to Obama? I think any AAs that was going to vote for Mccain/Palin still will. Plus, there's still more that will probably be brought out about Obama.

Take it from Us Hillary Supporters, It anint over till the fat lady sings. We've been here so many times since January that we know you do not give up, you do not stop the fight, you keep going until the final second.

This is the attirude that lead to helping win more votes and to gain momentum more and more each day until she had 18 million votes, a record of any primary. Our mistake was that we started too late, and trusted our party officials too much.

But that is behind us now, so we push on harder and harder until every last legitimate vote is counted which might not be for months after the GE.

Prepare for annother Y2K people!

Glad to hear this. We need some media on our side or at least trying to be fair and balanced. We're lucky that FOX is the most-watched cable channel as it helps to counteract the bias people get on the others. The general public needs to hear that McCain is rising and can still WIN! I think that BO was actually down a point in the Zogby poll and McCain up one. Let's hope that's a trend! - and Never Give Up! (as someone we know was famous for saying!). :)

Believe me, I refuse to worry. I fully understand exactly what the strategy is: demoralize McCain / Palin supporters. Well, it ain't workin' here. :p

Take a good look at those poll numbers: statistical dead heat, despite George Bush's dismal approval ratings, despite a sudden financial crisis, despite ACORN's attempt to front load the registrations to make it look like there are more Dems out there to skew those tracking polls. I'd expect McCain to be behind by double digits after all that. There are just essssssssss loads of voters out there who have not given up on McCain. :)

Unlike some of you, I also hang around pro-Obama sites. What I'm seeing over there is a whole bunch of false bravado and sheer desperation. By not letting that whole "Joe the Plumber" story just die a natural death, Obama committed a huge strategic blunder. :p

He's not perfect, and he's not The One. Like every other politician, he's vulnerable and he can lose.

It's all about "Get Out The Vote" now. If you are discouraged you might stay home.

John McCain and Sarah Palin are not losing the Southern Red States.

John McCain and Sarah Palin are not losing Republican voters enmass.

John McCain and Sarah Palin are in my opinion tied to Obama if the polls were accurate. ( I personally think they are ahead )

John McCain and Sarah Palin will win if every one goes out to vote and that my friends is exactly what MSM and Obama does not want you to do.

Hell, I've been in worse fixs than this...All of us Dems know that Obama CONSISTENTLY over-polled. He would have a double digit lead going into a primary and he would loose. Even the exit polls gave him wins when he ended up losing. Time to "Cowboy Up" and bring the herd in (I know how much you all love my cowboy colloquialisms...) Don't get your panties (or your shorts for you men) in a bunch and keep the faith that the American People are smarter than we think (Boy Howdy I hope so!)

McCain just appears too calm and collected to be scared to death of losing. They have internal polls and all we have are the coc*su**ers at Gallop and Rasmussen who have imbibed the Kool-Aid. If Zogby has Obama only up by three, it's a lot more likely McCain has a good lead (Zogoby is so far up the Messiah's orrifice that it's hard to get a clear picture if you know what I mean.) Personally for me, when I read posts like what we're talking about...it makes me work harder to defeat Obama. :D I've done more in the last week that I have in the whole month.

1. I printed out 25 flyers from PUMA and distribued them around my neighborhood.

2. I ordered 100 flyers from Fred, a generous PUMA member and will distribute them as soon as they get here. He said it would take about 4 days.
http://www.pumapac.org/flydocs.html
Scroll down to the middle of the page where it says "request this flyer"

3. I used the media contact list on PUMA to leave comments on several newspapers in swing states. In my comment I left links to articles on Hot Air, No Quarter and American Thinker.

Very good point....McCain is only behind BO by 3 pts in Zogby.

THIS IS GREAT NEWS. That is why BO pulled out Colin: to counter the Bill Ayers stuff which is hurting him.

Exactly, the move to Colin Powell is because Obama camp knows they are tanking and they hope to panic McCain supporters. If they achieve panic here they win. If they don't, they lose. It's that simple. Stay focused, McCain and Palin are in it to win. We need to stay focused to help them achieve this. Any time we panic, start to lose focus, the opposition succeeds.

When Obama is losing, he doesn't get hung up on what is said, even if he's not legitimately able to run for President, he just throws things out against McCain or picks Powell to support him - hoping he can avoid having to prove his citizenship and other points of concern. We need to do the same thing.

One thing we don't have to worry about: our guy will never be found guilty of criminal activities, drugs, or terrorist pals. All the stuff yet to come out on BO will happen in the next 2 weeks.

The other thing you can count on - you Hillary ladies and men have earned and won the Republican respect, and you will never be treated without respect. We're all going forward together on this, and we're going ALL the way.

If Zogby has Obama only up by three, it's a lot more likely McCain has a good lead (Zogoby is so far up the Messiah's orrifice that it's hard to get a clear picture if you know what I mean.) I'm ready to kick some Dem Party ass. How about you?

YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!COUNT ME IN!!:):):):)

McLauglin Group said that the polls for IPd only show McCain down 3 margin of area. also said in the last election and others they have the history of being the most accurate.

Lot of action to do...talk needs to go out to the undecideds..we can stil get them

Agreed. No depressing other people. That's the MSM/Obama strategy - depress McCain turnout.

I was just watching Hannity's America. What a sleazeball that Obama is. Don't get down, even some Fox 'analysts' are in the tank. Many aren't though and Hannity and Greta are two. I am beginning to not trust Fox that much though.

I got the 'Sarah Palin is over her head/stupid/out of her league' meme from Chris somebody interviewing McCain this morning. Of course we all heard the Colin Powell announcement, and all the ageist sexist and now pseudo-racist language. But I don't give up easily.

Don't be a Debbie or Donny Downer. Keep up your spirits, and talk it up. McCain is going to win. But we can't let down. I'm doing as much as I can, and I'm sure everyone else is.

Think Positive.

I have had a few down days but I have a suggestion for all of our members, when ever you feel down grab a comfort food, a good book, the great DVD you love and take a break. Then feel the energy and get back in the fight. We are in this to win and I believe if we send out that positive energy it will support us and others who are going to vote McCain/Palin. Love is a powerful force and we love our country.

Sandy, Thanks so much for starting this thread!! The negative posts were starting to irritate me. I believe we have a few Obots posing as McCain supporters trying to bring us down. That is exactly what the MSM is trying to do also. It's all BS and it's not going to work. They are running scared because they know Obama is tanking. McCain will win!!!:)

Thanks.

Amen! Honestly, I think there are more of us than you might know. My local newspaper today presented an article about undecided voters, and I got the feeling that while the people they interviewed did not come right out and say it, (fear of accusations of racism, no doubt) they are going to vote for McCain. I know it sounds bad, but in order to preserve a few of my relationships, I have denied that I am going to vote for McCain. I have no doubt than many, many people have done the same as I. Don't give up hope, Pumas!

So true. I think a lot of these undecided are really undeclared. They know who they are going to vote for, they just haven't declared it.

Thanks so much for posting this. Last week I submitted a thread that I thought this site was infiltrated by Obamabots b/c their was so much negativity and non-spirit going around here. I myself am very optimistic. I am in it to win it and I believe we are going to.
