I just got a visit from an Obama worker. I am a registered Dem (so i can vote Hillary in the primary, I am a rebublican, but thought if the Dems won the White House I can live with her). when i told her that i am voting for McCain she was shocked. I told her i worked hard for what little I have and I don't want to loose any mroe the the FED Gov. I had to explain to her how 401Ks work and why the Dem prop. to get ris of them is a tax increase. I live in a workng class neighborhood and i think she was hearing a lot of this. She is also coming durring an Eagles game which is a mistake.
On another note my brother is an internal pollster for the Reb. party. he wont give me specifics, but Obama might have trouble in Maine and NH. he told me Obama is not plastering boston TV staions with ads for nothing. those stations go into southern Maine and NH!

You have been very kind.
I suppose I'd have slammed the door into her very face. :o

Good for you giving obots an education! I'm proud of you.
I had obots come to my door a few weeks back and rudely chased them away. And during the week I had ACORN nuts on my doorstep, and chased them away with a warning to stay out of my neighborhood and not to bother my neighbors. (and worse with explitives) My DH worried they'd call the police and had barred me from answering the door.

You might as well engage them for as long as possible. Pretend to be up in the air and try and let them convince you. Offer them coffee, lemonade, kool aid, whatever.
Slamming the door in their face might discourage them, but it also gives them more time to go to a lot more doors.

Excellent idea. Waste as much of their time as possible. Act like you are undecided and tire them out. Make them eat a lot so that they become less energetic. Keep talking to them about anything and everything. Slowly and subtly try to convert them to McCain supporters. This is the theory of Tai Chi. Use their energy and force against them.

Actually, my hubby said just that! I don't have the temperment for it though. Their idiocy and corruption make me want to choke them. Maybe I should let my hubby do that and I'll leave the house or stay in my room.

I wouldn't choke them...lol A lot of these canvassers are just swayed by Obama's star treatment and in the hearts think they are doing a good thing...now his bloggers I would like to choke...I bet if you actually start asking these volunteers questions, most of them can only give you the talking points...they will learn..

Fair enough. Send the bloggers to my house. (when the dh isn't home)
Seriously though, the older I get, the less patience I have for bs. A few years back my family actually called me Job because I had the patience of a saint. This last year....they are shocked at how easy I dismiss people, rebuke them, or tear them apart. My dh aggitates it by saying I changed because Hillary lost. Even though I know he is joking, it still riles me up. Hillary didn't lose. It was stolen from her. And then the crap from the DNC, MSM, people who I thought were friends, accusations of racism, sexism, all still going on to this day-it wore my patience out!

I definitely have been hearing some whispers about Obama having trouble in Maine from conservatives. Hope there's fire where there's smoke.

I just got a call from a woman inviting me to an Obama/Hillary event in NH this week. I told her that I wasn't voting for Obama and that I couldn't bear to watch Hillary campaigning for him. She started in about how she's a nurse (as I am) and Obama has the best health care plan, blah, blah, and that Hillary supports him, blah, blah. I just said that it was a matter of character and that I did not forgive Obama for not offering Hillary the VP. She tried to say she didn't think Hillary wanted it and I said I didn't care she had 18 million votes and could have broken a glass ceiling which would have benefitted all women and she should have had the OFFER. Begrudgingly this woman agreed.

I've heard this polling information from several sources.

LOL ... Offer them some waffles. Those simple carbs will go right to their thighs. ;)

I use to get Obots at my door all the time. They would always get very upset to hear that this Democrat was voting for McCain. I miss debating with them on my porch. But that has all ended.
I have a restraining order posted at the front of my house. It is a Northeast Philadelphia for McCain sign. It keeps them away.:D

This is what I do on many of the comment sections of my videos. I don't block people so that they can come and waste time posting inane comments. That is time that they don't get to spend astroturfing on other sites.
Of course, many of the over-the-top comments left by the Obama supporters do not, nor should they, see the light of day. But those spending their time writing them do not know that as they furiously type away.
