There's so much information on this forum that we probably have the greatest comprehensive list of reasons and facts to vote for McCain and why we're not voting for Obama. I was wondering if you guys think we should make a comprehensive list of policy differences and judgment issues and experience points that show why we're voting for McCain and perhaps members can post it on their Facebook notes, blogs, MySpace bulletins, etc. and even send it out as a press release on the Hillary Clinton Forum Endorsement of John McCain and Sarah Palin, which I think would send a strong message out there. It would have to be done fairly soon, I'd say by the middle of this week to get everything we can out there, but we already have threads today on how McCain's economic plans, health care plans, etc. are a vast improvement over Bush's and much preferable to Obama's. It's just an idea that obviously the administrators would have to approve, but I'm sure a lot of people here would like to be able to get why we're here and our message across to all of their friends and as many people as they can reach. Let me know what you think and then we can see if we can organize to compile all of these ideas.

Similar suggestions have been discussed previously. As I recall, the conclusion was that individual HCF members can endorse any candidate as an individual. However, the HCF has a number of members who plan to take other measures, including: third party vote, write-in for Hillary, as well as leaving the presidential line blank or staying home. A blanket McCain endorsement from the forum didn't fly.

Great! Perhaps we can get one of the admins or mods to come up and help with organization on how we can delegate some starting points for people to compile pieces of an endorsement. We can give a section to someone who's an expert on the energy policies or health care policies or pieces of the economic policies (taxes, housing crisis, earmarks, etc.), judgment, experience, etc. and then other people can post in the thread in regards to those specific areas with corrections or additions kind of like a Wiki project, but obviously the original poster would have to edit the fresh material. Perhaps it could be done in a Wiki page. Mods, admins, help!

^^Oh ok, didn't know that. That's fine. Was there a vote on it out of curiosity to see how many people were voting which ways?

Do a poll and if more vote in favor of the forum endorsing McCain, then we can do it.

We decided earlier on that we, as a forum, were not endorsing any other candidate besides Hillary.

While most here will/have voted for McCain, not everyone is - there are other options available for those with no interest in voting for Obama.

Personally, I'm voting for McCain because of all my ballot options, he is the person who I trust to lead our nation for the next 4 years. His character and experience show me that he is Commander-in-Chief material. National Security is secondary to all other issues.... women who think otherwise can buy their burkas now.

Have any McCain supporters made a blog or note type endorsement already that might have us out here? Even if it weren't done by the forum as an endorsement, there might be some people interested in spreading the word in better ways than they can fully develop themselves for their friends and family to read who haven't made up their minds or are leaning in one way but could be persuaded. Thoughts welcome as always.

I think that is a great idea but I also understand that others are making other choices this election year. Now I am voting for McCain and supporting him but I don't want the others to feel pressured so that they leave.
