In 1978 I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus . They did not know much about the disease back then and it took them more than a year to even decide what I had. Also, because of the times, I was give HUGE doses of steroids that would never be given to a patient today. So along with a particularily virulent form of the disease, I have many problems and symptoms caused by the large doses of steroids. I am not garnering sympathy here, I have a point to make.

I was told by a panel of doctors that I would be in a wheelchair in 5 years and dead in 10 so I better start making arangements for my children, etc. They told me that my life as I knew it was over. They wanted me to set on the couch and die.

That was 30...count 'em 30 years ago!!! I ran an equine breeding facility for about the last 15 years. I am an avid gardener and love everything outdoors. I do what I can do when I can. Finally, I get to my point!

Hillary cannot and should not give up just because people tell her to. She has proven all the pundits and nay sayers wrong again and again and take it from me...spirit and "stick-to-it-ness" is not soemthing anyone can measure!!!

I am with you. Never give up! I always find it interesting that people are in a rush to tell others what to do!

I agree with sudhakm, very inspirational! It's easy to forget that behind the names on this forum, there are real people talking. The "invisible" people that Hillary will represent when she's President.

Wyoming Dem, keep on fighting!

Thank you Wyoming Dem. Your story is an inspiration to us all. You've got courage, smarts and backbone, qualities that curiously seem to be in ample supply on this particular board. I wonder if that is what attracts us to Hillary and why her message resonates with such clarity for us!!!

Congratulations on never giving up and staying on course despite seemingly insurmountable odds! So glad you're on our side, we need you and Hillary needs you!
