To New Members

Welcome!

Please respect the rules & guiedlines of this forum.

You are free to express your views, but please follow a few simple guidelines:

- refrain from insulting other members
- fefrain from engaging in discrimination (sexism, racism, homophobia)
- refrain from pressuring other members to subscribe to your point of view

The forum is in transtion. What started out as a pro-Hillary forum morphed into a pro-McCain/Palin forum. Now, it's an allcomers forum situated in the "commonground" where no one candidate/view/party has dominance. Constructive dialogue/debate is the goal - please help us achieve it! As a starting point, please read these 3 threads:

Guidelines for Posting Comments & Threads (http://www.hillaryclintonforum.net/discussion/announcement.php?f=84&a=3)

Policy of Non-Discrimination (http://www.hillaryclintonforum.net/discussion/showthread.php?t=16761)

Moderation System (http://www.hillaryclintonforum.net/discussion/showthread.php?t=41194)

To Existing Members

I understand this is a difficult period for some of you who grew attached to the previous culture of this forum. I know the timing for changing the forum's direction may seem premature to some, but beneath this plan for a "new path" there is no intention to turn away previous members or to devalue your participation in any way. If you abide by the same rules above that apply to everyone, you are most welcome to post here as always! :)

Thanks!

Admin.

You sure? I don't know...Lol...as much as I love the internet, it can be hard to interpret intention. It's sometimes difficult to tell when someone is joking and being light hearted. :p

Anyway, you're right. It'll be interesting either way...but I for one am happy to see us moving froward with the forum...not closing it down, not becomming stagnant. It's never dull here to say the least, Murray!

On a serious note, I too am excited to see this forum grow in a unique direction.

I think I can feel a bit of mood change in here today...I think this may be a success yet. And I see both new and old members discussing things and actually agreeing on some things. =0 (it's a start)

Yes, that's for sure.

The forum has had an "interesting" history getting to this point !? :)

And all of those emoticons apply!!!! Actually, maybe that order of the images directly reflected my feelings over time with the move from Plan A to Plan B to Obama winning!

I never thought of those of us who vehemently opposed Obama, did reasarch, and worked our hearts out to get the word out about him as conservatives. I personally am an indepenent voter and have a few conservative views, many moderate and one or two somewhat liberal.

But I think most of us simply opposed fraud Obama and all came together for that purpose.

Personally, I'm looking forward to a new, moderate forum after 5 months of conservative rule!

Thank you and I will follow the rules. I am a Palin supporter and a high admirer of Hillary. As the future unfolds for the forum, I will argue points and issues but always be respectful (even if they are on Obot!), j/k. I was an admin of a message board myself one time. ;) The thing I noted as an outsider without the ability to previously register, was the maturity here in the debate. It's like the forum for the grown-ups. Looking forward to talking with you all.

Hi everyone. Long time no "talk". I stopped participating in the forum right before the election; the writing was already on the wall and it was just too painful to continue. This is my first post since then.

I respect the new direction of the forum. Change was inevitable and constant negativity about results that most of us worked very hard to prevent is not healthy. I also respect the choice that the majority of my fellow Americans made in this past election. I love my country. That being said I will not pretend empathy for any consequences that choice may bring. I also will never support the political career of Barack Obama. I don't have to express constant negativity to be a non-supporter.

For all the long-time (and some relatively new) members, moderators, and the administrator, whom I have had the pleasure of conversing with this past year, I have nothing but admiration and respect for you all, even when we disagreed at times. You were my support, my rock, my therapist, my comic relief, and my friends.

I will continue to check in from time to time. Good luck with the new format. If it is even half as amazing as the old one, it will no doubt be a success.

For your time and trouble since you started the original forum. It has been a great success overall.
This country and what happens to the citizens is way more important than any political party or actions of the same.
I am more concerned with the economy, our stature in the world, and the safety of our people than holding grudges.
I wish this new administration great success and I hope this forum will again be open to all and any constructive ideas.
Thanks again.

Now that the forum is open again, and not supporting any candidate/party, it will be interesting to see which direction the forum (as a whole) will lean. As is the case in any place - be it online or in person - there will be a struggle for power! Hopefully enough Dems, Republicans, Independents & otherwise will participate to make the drams interesting and not one-sided :) I am not trying to be inflammatory, I am just highlighting that I am not naiive enough to think we will all be holding hands by the campfire! ;) Politics involves struggle/battle, even when searching for a "commonground".

My prediction is that it will lean somewhere between left and far-left.
