"Common Ground Politics" has really grown on me, and I highly encourage officially changing the domain name. Having said that, I think the site should retain its pro-Hillary stance, which would maintain the link to the past.
I would prefer CommonGroundPolitics.com - but that is not a choice. Is there a reason that it cannot be .com, rather than .net?

Yes, because someone else owns the .com version.
Is CGPolitics taken also? (I like that one better with capitals).

Yep, the .com is taken.

I voted for www.common-ground-politics.com .
Sorry to be so fussy :)! I voted for CommonGroundPolitics.net because I think the full name should be in the web address - and it's a great, inviting, self-explanatory name.

Good reasons! It's not being fussy. That's why the thread is open - to hear what people have to say about the matter. :)

I picked the last one because it's the easiest and quickest to type for me.

The .com is probably a plus, but I think internet users are used to .net being used for this type of forum and I think they are used to running words together instead of separating with hyphens.

Hyphens in web addresses aren't that common.
I think a continuous name with a .net ending is a much safer bet than a hyphenated name that has a .com ending.

If the web address is changed, the HCF address will automatically redirect to the new address so it won't matter either way - you will find it!

I've designed a few webpages myself and I can assure you there is nothing wrong with .net addresses. Heck the current address is a .net and the traffic was busting here a month ago. We just need to get back up on the search engines.
