Kinda blows the "choice" argument right out of the water.

There are numerous examples of homosexuality in the animal kingdom, but gay penguins have captured the public's attention more than any other species.

A German zoo provoked outrage from gay lobby groups after attempting to mate a group of gay male penguins with Swedish female birds who were flown in especially to seduce them. But the project was abandoned after the males refused to be "turned", showing no interest in their would-be mates.

If I was a gay penguin I would not be stealing any eggs. You gotta sit on that thing for months at a time in below freezing temperatures without food or water. I'll just be gay, thank you.

I would say it comes naturally if it occurs in nature.

Homosexuality (as an orientation) is a biological reality. Zero choice involved.

Why that's so difficult for many to accept is one of the most infuriating things in this world for me!

Good on those gay male penguins for turning up their noses at what was being asked of them!

I thought it was pretty damn funny how they were putting rocks where the stolen eggs were to fool the straight couples.I wonder how long before they noticed that their egg babies were rock babies??

Penguins are damn smart.

If only humans could show such loyalty!

(assuming that's true about the penguins mating for life)

Not all penguins mate for life.

Penguins form monogamous pairs for a breeding season, though the rate the same pair recouples varies drastically. Most penguins lay two eggs in a clutch, though the two largest species, the Emperor and the King Penguins, lay only one.[7] With the exception of the Emperor Penguin in all penguins share the incubation duties.[8] These incubation shifts can last days and even weeks as one member of the pair feeds at sea.
