Op-Ed by two staffers regarding the Bosnia trip.

During a week of nonstop coverage, few journalists went beyond the irresistible video footage to ask what else happened on this trip and how Mrs. Clinton might have erred in the details about the landing in Tuzla. So here are some facts that provide context:

In a recent e-mail message to a British blogger, Ejup Ganic, who was the acting president of Bosnia during Mrs. Clinton’s visit, wrote: “I remember that visit quite well. Although the NATO troops were in Tuzla, we still believed that some positions on the hills were occupied by radical Serbs, so I was worried about the overall safety.” The planned welcoming ceremony was shortened, he said, but it still lasted a bit longer than expected because a nongovernment group brought along a little girl to sing to the first lady.

Kitty why don't you blog that over at Fox - Greta's blog. I just copied and pasted two from the Marxist article re Odinga and they were pretty long so it might be a bit much to do this one on Bosnia too but I think it is important as people are still talking about it.

I would copy and paste the article and of course also put in the link.... Somebody should do it.... Greta seems to be interested in doing a good job....let's help her. My blogs are on page 7 of comments...wow....amazing...

Appalachian Blue (love your name) Anyhow it would be good if you would blog that over at Greta's van sustern's blog.... the link is in one of the other posts and also if you could add the link that I listed above your post also. I already left two large ones and don't want to hog the space but I can. Just seems the more people the merrier and the more we contain this Bosnia stuff the better. IT IS AMAZING HOW THE DETAILS OF A REPORTED AP NEWS ITEM WERE OVERLOOKED BY ALL OF THE NATIONAL MEDIA LAST WEEK AND THAT NOTHING BUT DISDAIN AND SMEAR TACTICS WERE MOUNTED AGAINST HER

She did a tremendous thing - travel to a war torn country to represent the USA in diplomacy - and 12 years later she gets crucified for it by ungrateful and desperate Obama supporters (and that's includes the media as they are Obama supporter #1).

That could be dangerous, Fox is only Hillary's friend when talking about BO. Not sure we want to bring Bosnia to the forefront again. That info was out there when they were slamming her, didn't matter then will not matter now.

This article also speaks to the mean-spirited, sexist coverage that Hillary has received. The late night comics have not been kind and that is part of what the Women's Media Center has been trying to deal with and is the focus of Our Peaceful Protest scheduled for Friday April 11 at 8am, Rockefeller Center, NYC. The quote by Mr. Ganic is an important one, about the inherent danger of the mission and in my own mind makes sense as to why someone my have remebered it the way Hillary did.
