I called yesterday. I told the person who answered the phone that I was calling to tell the Mayor how much I appreciated his courage for standing up for what he believes in. The fellow who answered the phone transferred me over to another guy. I told him the same thing and some more positive things I was thinking about Mayor Nutter. The guy was very warm and sounded very grateful. He asked me if I would like to send the Mayor a card, and I said, "of course I can do that." He said perhaps some other people I knew might like to send the Mayor a card as well.

I would also encourage you to call. The mayor is getting badly harassed and needs some positive feedback.

I also think in contacting superdelegates it is fair to say that if they are going to support Hillary (and give them all the reasons they should, by the way), then it would be a good time to do so now. Tell them that they are leaving their African American counterparts 'swinging in the wind' --(a loaded metaphor, but apt--sadly). These politicans are putting their careers on the line to do what they feel is the right thing. And they are being badly abused for it. Other Superdelegates need to step up and not leave these people who are being so courageous, out there taking the despicable abuse that they are being subjected to, out in the cold.

I said it a few months ago, and I'll say it again: it's just like the eve of the verdict of the OJ Simpson trial all over again. Who cares if neither OJ nor Obama never lifted a finger for the African American community - let's support them anyway!:(

It's very distressing. These people think they are getting some sort of revenge by voting Obama when in the meantime Mr & Mrs Obama live lives they can only dream of. They've had opportunities most blacks and whites never had. They are both successful and earn 6-figure salaries, yet they keep biting the hand that fed them. When will these people realize that it's not about "helping the brothers" but about the greed and sense of entitlement of the Obamas?

Shared that I saw the ABC inteview of Mr.Nutter and was very impressed by the person.
He owned his words and spoke from the heart and it showed. [She said, yes, that is him. I continued.]
He didnt need to nor try to please everyone. Showed his integrity.
He stood up for issues and for decision-making based on competency, qualification and experience.

He gained my respect and admiration.
So much so that I would support him any day.

Just called, they switched me to Mayor's Action Center where I left my message of support. Also wrote a note, will mail later today. I actually visit Philadelphia quite often and the city is on the rebound. The Franklin Institute is my favorite museum - and I let them know that.
