View Full Version : PROHILLARY TITLES: Please - Prohillary Thread Titles Only!
There has been a bit of pattern lately of misery-themed thread titles. Please, this is a pro-hillary forum and the aim is to motivate supporters and report good news about Hillary Clinton. Misery-themed thread titles are not at all helpful! Nor are comments about Hillary's campaign which reflect hopelessness and surrender.
As much as possible, frame your thread titles (and posts) in a positive way which favors our candidate. If you are posting a thread about an article which is negative towards Hillary, you can add a byline to the thread title to highlight your dissatisfaction with the article.
Pro-Obama thread titles are a definite NO NO.
We need to stay Hillary-positive and focus on constructive topics.
Misery talk never helped anyone!!

I agree with you although it is good to know when an article is negative. I don't bother reading those threads.

You are so right. I come to this forum after seeing all the negativity in the media. This is where I come to get energized and ready to continue the fight.

EXACTLY!

Yes, so a thread comment after the negative article title is helpful so you know not to read that one!!!

We need to have a general idea of the manure that is being spread. Maybe not a headline or letting anyone discourage us, but this is a good site for picking up on what the new thing they are trying now.
One site I reviewed today mentioned somewhere in the 60's percentile of Hillary supporters would vote for Obama. That would leave almost 40% HRC supporters not going to or not voting Obama. That will lose them the presidency.
Obama supporters would vote in a larger margin for Hillary in this survey.
Hillary on the 27th in N. Carolina I believe, suggested we rethink voting McCain when someone asked her from the audience.
In her position as the candidate, she could not advocate that position. BUT maybe understanding what we have witnessed her go through and our rights as voters, she might realize she has no right to ask us however to refrain.

Of course we must. And there are many threads about this kind of information. But there is a way to capture the theme/info and represent in a title which is prohillary - "prohillary" doesn't mean fluffy and nice - it just means wording things in a way which provides critical support for our candidate. So, for example, which title is more helpful when reporting about the same topic?
:o Media says Hillary is a liar over Bosnia
or
 Once again Media demonizes Hillary unfairly
Clearly, the second one is more helpful as it dismisses the criticism of the media and puts the emphasis back on prohillary. The first title basically agrees with what the media says without providing any critique - such a title is not helpful.
---- another one...
:o Obama leading in polls...
or
 Latest polls show competitive race between Clinton/Obama
Obviously the second one is better than the first as it plays down positivity for Obama and neutralizes the story.
My basic point. There is a way to word titles in a way which help Hillary and the motivation of supporters and this remains the case even when reporting on "negative" material.

I tend to skip over anything that looks negative. That is not the reason I come to this forum. If I want negative reports on Hillary I can easily turn on CNN or MSNBC, ...as if. This is my sanctuary.

.....but it's almost been 24 hours since I made my contribution yet the dollar amount is identical to what it was yesterday at this time.
Can we have instant updating of the donation total?

I also come here to get energized. And, to have a little fun, too. I don't mind knowing what the challenges are, but how they're presented makes a huge difference in everyone's attitudes, and attitudes here need to stay positive and upbeat. We can't have defeatist tones.
It is important to know that the title of a thread will either attract or discourage readers. That's unfortunate because sometimes the thread will have good stuff in it and readers will skip it because of the title. The opposite is true as well.
We all need to be reminded every now and then to keep smiling and keep our chins up. If we have doubts about whether we can do that, just take a look at some of the great pictures of Hillary...smiling with her chin up!;)

I update the total whenever I can. I can't do instantly because donations don't always appear instantly on the hillraiser's account profile (hillary site) and I also try not to sit online 24/7 to manually update. :)
Let's remain focused on pro-hillary thread titles!

I have noticed an increase in negative thread titles lately and my reaction is not to read them.

I continue to see and ignore threads with negative titles. Why in the world would we want to give fodder to the trolls that scope out our forum, along with bumming out our own people. How great would we feel if we spied on BO's sites and saw postings that said "Barack Slipping in the Polls" or "More Trouble Ahead for Obama". There has got to be a way to get the message to OUR OWN SUPPORTERS. Trust me, we all see the negative articles out there and I choose not to bring them into this forum. I have actually found myself raising an eyebrow when I see a negative thread. My inclination is to check out who posted it. We really need it to stop.

So right. She is an inspiration to us all. She's out there on the line, taking the hits from the biased media and always remains optimistic, determined and cheerful. All the more reason we support her. We need a President who can focus on the issues amid whatever distractions and lead in a positive way.

If you see threads or titles that are not pro-hillary, you should always PM me or a moderator and we will attend to. Sometimes we allow threads which report back on negative hillary articles but only if the aim is to generate responses to these ridiculous articles & submit these to the website concerned. There are thousands of threads so much of the responsibility for keeping an eye on things falls to members so please help us (admin/mods) out with reports!
The "pro-hillary" concept relates to thread contents as well!
Hence, the Mark Penn topic is not a goer!

I don't mind if someone else changes my titles so long as it still reflects the substance. I come here not just for a fluffy pick up, but because I want the real information and I want to share the real information.
For those of us who are emailing and faxing, we need facts and I see this forum as a place to share them.
So I hope we can continue doing that and if my titles are less than happy, please feel free to edit them so long as people are still getting the information.
