I would like to know if you desire for the forum to stay focused on politics and political issues or can things news/world related but not politically related be discussed?

I think that while many of us are socially diverse, we may find that we have some common ground on other issues.

Example -

My aunt & I find common ground on issues of caring for life and sustainability while we disagree on abortion. (She is very pro-choice.)

Second question - where would you like discussions of food sustainability, local living, living simply to be put?

Note - I am not a neo-environmentalist. I come from the old farm school, where you cared for the land, reduce waste and didn't dump chemicals into the soil as a matter of common sense and practicality and service to and respect for the Creator. But I find that I have much in common with those that are environmentalist for other reasons.

Feel free to discuss any of these issues.

If the topic has a political bent to it, you can start the new thread in the "main room".

If the topic is more general in focus, use the "off topic" section!

Tx!

I like to read everything you want to tell about your way of life. I found it very interesting and refreshing.

It also reminds me of the old story books, "the little house on the prairie". I used to read the serie when I was young and I love all of them.
