Ok, the Wyoming Gov now just endorsed Obama.

These super delegates are trying to shut down the process by coming out for Obama now. Anyone in Wyoming want to get a letter (or more) faxed out to the Governor to show your displeasure?

Where are you Wyoming Dem? :)

I don't mean to minimize the great state of Wyoming, but does an endorsement for a Democrat really mean a whole heck of a lot when it is going to go Republican in November?

Yes, it would be nice to have the backing...but still. It just goes to show that Obama is the Republican in the Democratic race.

The significance of this endorsement may be small for the general election, but could have impact on the superdelegate count necessary for either candidate to get the nomination.

Good point..Its just like all the midwest they all went Obama and Most those states vote republican...This goes to show he doesnt do well in the Key states that they need in The General. The Argument Hillary has made all along. She is so smart and see's things way ahead of the rest..Just like Health care being a issue to her 20 years ago now look at the boat where in.

I agree with your point, but it should be a sign to the Blue states that, yes he is winning states, yes he is ahead in the popular vote and yes he is winning delegates....but they are ALLLLLLLLLLL Republican voting states. When you put those wins up against McCain, he will lose most of them and his Electoral Vote count will be small in comparison.

While the arguments as to why this endorsement are true in regards to Obama winning red states in the primary, the main point is that we only have so many super delegate votes. Every day that one goes to Obama that is one less available to help Hillary when we're going to need their help. The endorsement isn't what matters, it's that there is one less super del available now to Clinton. It's just math.

True, in a way.

But superdelegates can CHANGE their vote. Just because they show their hand now doesn't mean they can't change their vote once the convention comes around. The are not voting TODAY. They are voting in August! That's a long way away.

Theoretically any of these SD who have "endorsed" Obama can still vote for Hillary Clinton at the convention. If my understanding is wrong, tell me.
