Council on foreign relations, seems to be a Illuminti type group that wants to have a one world government.
It's also well known that Michelle Obama, his wife, is on the Board of Directors in the Chicago branch of the CFR. http://www.thechicagocouncil.org/chicago_council_board_directors.php
The main purpose of the Council on Foreign Relations is promoting the disarmament of U.S. sovereignty and national independence and submergence in to an all powerful, one world government.

What kind of lunatic would want Obama as President!
Moving topic to the BO Discussion section.

Yes, they are rather unfortunate initials!
An Obama supporter ("mouse 21" - sorry I had to ban you if you are reading this but please see the forum purpose/rules) has suggested that both Bill and Hillary are also supporters of the CFR? I have no idea. But I did find this link:

That site is someone's personal blog and it is full of unsubstantiated posts. Just like the MSM is full of baloney...no credible links to back up info. Just a bunch of statements. Well, I can say "the sky is green" and I can even believe it but, if I have no proof then it's pretty much cartoon time.

CFR Council Of Foreign Relations How They CONTROL THE MEDIA
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tcgd67Sxvzo
Yes it's a video!:D
I guess everyone running belongs to CFR? All we can do is hope for the best...
----------------------------------------------------------
Think voting for Obama over McCain will make a difference in Foreign Policy?
Think again....
The CFR controls BOTH parties - and not only FUNDS their presidency by choosing the candidates they prefer and highlighting them in their media... they also dictate their Presidency...
http://www.cfr.org/publication/15505/ (story below)
McCain, (CFR member), and Huckabee - both have said they will rely on CFR top officials to guide them in policy!!!.... Obama's wife is a CFR member and Bill and Hillary Clinton are CFR members... their daughter works for a corporate CFR member, News Corp, the media mogul who is owned by Rupert Murdoch. (who also owns the Dow Jones and is trying to swindle Yahoo out of the grips of Bill Gates)....
The CFR has monopolized the media, oil companies, banks and big business.. and it controls the government and this small group of approximately 3K members controls 3/4 of the WORLD'S WEALTH! Many are UN members, dual citizens of Israel and hold prominent positions in government or media....
Council on Foreign Relations Partners with the Saban Center at Brookings on Middle East Strategy for the Next President

The next U.S. president will face multiple challenges in the Middle East when he or she takes office in January 2009. Numerous crises and concerns in the region will remain on top of the U.S. foreign policy agenda: the conflict in Iraq, Iran’s nuclear and regional ambitions, the Arab-Israeli conflict and the push for a Palestinian state, Lebanon’s continued political instability, the threat of radical Islamic terrorism, and political and economic reform efforts across the Middle East and Gulf regions.
The Council on Foreign Relations and the Saban Center at Brookings are undertaking an ambitious initiative to develop a nonpartisan blueprint for the next U.S. president, one which can be used as the foundation for the new administration’s Middle East policy.
The strategy group will conduct in-depth research, undertake fact-finding trips to the region, generate dialogue with regional officials, and consult with American policymakers. The project is staffed by Middle East experts from both organizations and will result in a published report in November 2009, titled, “Toward a New U.S.-Middle East Strategy.”
Richard N. Haass, president of the Council on Foreign Relations, and Strobe Talbott, president of Brookings, are co-chairs of an advisory board that includes former national security advisors Sandy Berger, Brent Scowcroft, and Zbigniew Brzezinski, and former deputy director of intelligence Jami Miscik. The directors of the project are Martin S. Indyk, director of the Saban Center for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institution, and Gary Samore, vice president, director of Studies, and Maurice R. Greenberg Chair at the Council of Foreign Relations.
“We’ve gathered a strong team of experts to tackle the toughest foreign policy problems the next administration will face,” said Samore. “With team trips to the region and advice from our advisory board, we hope to produce a set of recommendations to help the new administration develop an effective Mideast policy.”
“In a year marked by escalating conflict in the Middle East, the U.S. faces an array of challenges from the conflict in Iraq to Iran’s pursuit of nuclear arms to a latent Middle East peace process,” said Indyk. “The importance and urgency of these issues will require the next president to hit the ground running. By bringing together the best minds on the Middle East to think and write about these issues ahead of time, we hope to provide the next president with a Middle East strategy blueprint that he or she can use from day one.”

Please provide the actual reference and links for the above statement.
While the Council on Foreign Relations may be a powerful organization I find no proof for many of the statments made here---that it owns the media (isn't that Murdoch?), and not only practically chooses the Pres, but dictates what will be said and done. That all seems a bit out there to me, and it doesn't seem to match up with the information available.
We need to be careful so that we don't start to look like loons in need of donations for cello-tape. That won't help Hillary (or any of us) at all!

I completely agree. It just looks like a high-brow intellectual organization that discusses globalization types of issues. Nothing to see here...

I am the first to typically reign in persons who hear portions of truth and extrapolate out to the inth degree attrocities (such as the Vince Foster embeliishments), however when in reference to the CFR, the WTO, Nato, GATT, NAFTA, IMF, the Trilateratl Commission, the certain portions of truth are corroborative and heinous enough. My only suggestion is that each individual find the need to look into it.
Yes, the Board of Directors of the Chicago CFR website states Michelle Obama is a member. The link previously posted is not of any official capacity and one would have to question. However, I do know that Cecil Rhodes, (of Rhodes Scholar fame and President Clinton being a recipient) was the master mind. What do we do with this information?
We see what they do with the power given to them.
Mr Obama's Cheif Economic Advisor in this campaign and his senatorial campaign is Mr Goolsbee. Mr Goolsbee is of the University of Chicago Economics department. That same department referred to in the Shock Doctrine as the home of Freidman economic disaster capitalism. If you've not read The Shock Doctrine yet I highly suggest you do so. It is this "mindset" that must be changed and, for all intents and purposes, on hold through the former Clinton Administration.
When Mr Obama states he is for "free trade" and "globalism"; when his Chief Economic advisor and the designer of his economic policy contacts the Canadian government to explain his campaign rhetoric, Americans should note that he is defining hiself as status quo.
