While trolling through the blogs, I came across this shocking article from the Chicago Tribune dated April 3 2007 called "Obama Knows His Way Around a Ballot" by David Jackson and Ray Long.

It is the story of how Obama, fresh from his work as a civil rights lawyer and head of a voter registration project, launched his first campaign for the Illinois Senate saying he wanted to empower disenfranchised citizens. Obama then proceeded to knock every single one of his opponents off the ballot. They included a respected, progressive elder stateswoman named Alice Palmer. Obama wanted the office so badly he hired a civil rights attorney pal from Harvard named Tom Johnson to muscle his overmatched opponents off the ballot by challenging every signature on their petitions and them whipping them in court when they protested. His response to these soviet-style tactics? "He smiled and said, I think they ended up with a very good state senator."

The more I learn about this guy, the more frightening he becomes. This is not just Chicago style politics, it's Soviet-style stuff. The Saint Obama worshippers need a strong dose of the truth.

What is happening in Michigan and Florida are nothing new for Obama. He is very experienced in suppressing the vote.

PLEASE HELP in getting this distributed as widely as possible to FOX and any media outlet/blog who actually cares about who this candidate is (I don't know how)!

A classic quote from that article:

A close examination of Obama's first campaign clouds the image he has cultivated throughout his political career: The man now running for president on a message of giving a voice to the voiceless first entered public office not by leveling the playing field, but by clearing it.

One of the candidates he eliminated, long-shot contender Gha-is Askia, now says that Obama's petition challenges belied his image as a champion of the little guy and crusader for voter rights.

"Why say you're for a new tomorrow, then do old-style Chicago politics to remove legitimate candidates?" Askia said. "He talks about honor and democracy, but what honor is there in getting rid of every other candidate so you can run scot-free? Why not let the people decide?"

Obama's reply is more of the usual high and mighty nonsense. Amazing how some people will buy into his noble crap.

This makes me furious, because it's hypocritical and misleading. They HAD a good state senator in a safe seat: Alice Palmer. Obama pushed her out, replacing her with himself, an untried person coming in with hard feelngs . The 'group elders' had tried to mediate this, offering to help him find a seat elsehwere, which would hve resulted in TWO seats for his faction. Instead he weakened his faction and kneecapped Palmer, making her ineffective in future (and didn't keep the seat long himself).

Another key quote about the ballot clearing, showing how he feels about democracy: "If you can win, you should win, and get busy doing the people's business."

The group that helped him clear the ballot are no longer supporting him. Search for "Alice Palmer" at politico.com They are now in dispute with him about a questionnaire he gave them in 1996 but now claims he never saw?!?

Here is more information on Obama's Chicago career. The Palmer story is listed in the profile index as "Showing his bare knuckles"

This is a great one-page index with preces to the whole long series of Chicago Tribune profiles of Obama from this spring. Answers nearly all questions about his background and career.

And this, "The Agitator" about Obama's 'community organizer' days ("rub raw the sores of discontent")

Don't tell those were just words, just words?
Another Women Under the Obama Bus:

Obama knows his way around a ballot

The day after New Year's 1996, operatives for Barack Obama filed into a barren hearing room of the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners.

There they began the tedious process of challenging hundreds of signatures on the nominating petitions of state Sen. Alice Palmer, the longtime progressive activist from the city's South Side. And they kept challenging petitions until every one of Obama's four Democratic primary rivals was forced off the ballot.

Fresh from his work as a civil rights lawyer and head of a voter registration project that expanded access to the ballot box, Obama launched his first campaign for the Illinois Senate saying he wanted to empower disenfranchised citizens.

But in that initial bid for political office, Obama quickly mastered the bare-knuckle arts of Chicago electoral politics. His overwhelming legal onslaught signaled his impatience to gain office, even if that meant elbowing aside an elder stateswoman like Palmer.

Complete with pressuring her to open her marriage and divorce files. So far he has gotten away with murder, unchallenged, an easy ride to Ill house, Senate, and up to the Presidential race. But it's not going to be so easy for him this time. He's going to crumble and self-destruct, I am convinced of that.

I am convinced of that as well. I am seeing to many people really seeing too much of his not so pretty self to not believe otherwise.

However, there are still millions of people who do not. They will eventually. Will it be too late?

"The theme of the Obama campaign, the seeming magic of “change,” is out of its owner’s playbook, and that would not be Obama. That would be David Axelrod, who also ran the campaign of Deval Patrick (current Governor of Massachusetts)."

I have heard this before and this is how he wins caucuses besides cheating he has his lawyers there ready to harang, harass or organize accordingly in his favor... I think he has used his lawyering with regards to the FL and MI votes and he will probably try to use it regarding the DNC rules committee meeting to he wears people down with his adherence to the law and uses this lawyering to manipulate for his purposes... what else will he do for his egomania to be satisified... ? he is disgusting and sickening... he buys politicians and he is a puppet to those who want to manipulate him to stay "YOUNG" and in politics... the world is changing however, it is not the time to minimize our core values and beliefs to include what others we do not know value as more important than what we know to be true... that all are created equal and that we do not value lying, cheating, stealing to manipulate anyone nevermind the American People... please get this out there... spead the word so others may see and live free and VOTE FOR HILLARY!!!! NOBAMA... ever not vp or senator for that!

this needs to go out there in the media.

By the way obama's whining about McCain not beng scrutinized by the media - suggesting the press has given Obama a tougher time. He lies again.

Good Post.

It's just blatantly ironic that one who goes into office seeking to empower the people from being disenfranchised, then later goes seeking another position in office, and willingly is perfectly okay with the disenfranchisement of 2.4 million voters.

If obama supporters don't see the hypocrisy there, that who knows what will wake them up.

John - the problem is that most on the media are colluding with Obama so trying to push this kind of information or these kinds of articles is like asking them to rat on the person they are colluding with & actively supporting - they won't do it - not yet anyway.

He may know his way around the ballot on a local and State level but I think the Presidential race is a lot more challenging for him.... he would need the help of some much more powerful people.... HMMM Do you think that Dean, et al are helping him? LOL :-)

Murray, I hear you but there are some in the media who do support what Hillary is all about and they do write honestly, and decent articles about Hillary. Do we not have a list of the media who are honest? Not on the take or Obama's payroll for paid ads, etc?

Sending to all media is useless, but sending to the media that would support or write about what's going on mgiht help.

here's something I found, not sure if it will help, but the media couldn't get much worse than they are now:

Media publicity is something you want to generate. It's free and it gets you the type of exposure most people pay a lot of money for. The key with media publicity is that you can use it for your own publicity over and over again.

Here are some ways to become savvy around reporters that will maximize your opportunities for media coverage.

To garner media publicity you have to be perceived as an expert source. Host as many seminars and get on as many committees as possible.

When the media come to you about a story try to distinguish yourself by thinking of a unique hook or angle. This way your ideas are more likely to get quoted and you get the media publicity over other potential experts.

If you want media attention then you need to treat the media well. Always return phone calls and emails ASAP. The media publicity often goes to the first two out of 10 experts a reporter calls.

Befriend the reporters that cover your beat. Media publicity is sought after so make yourself the go-to guy for one or two reporters.

The media are always looking for interesting stories. Don't just pitch them on you, you, you. If you think of something that is newsworthy you can almost guarantee media publicity.

To get media publicity you have to be creative. Feed the media tales from the trenches and allow them an insiders look at the IT world.

Regardless of how you get media publicity you have to remember not to get frustrated if the media publicity you generate does not attract immediate attention. Even if you manage to land the front page after months of pitching your media publicity idea, you're phone won't necessarily start ringing off the hook. You might get a few inquiries and some congratulatory calls but the media publicity is more about building your credibility than converting sales.

Use your media publicly wisely and translate it into your business' marketing collateral. This is where the real power of media publicity comes into play. You can use it over and over again; long after the newspaper is thrown away or the newscast is finished.

Bottom Line on Media PublicityBuild relationships with reporters and make their job easier by pitching them ideas that will garner you media publicity. You will be the big winner in the long run.

Of course Dean is helping him.
Every slip of the tongue that Dean makes shows his bias in favor of Obama.
Howard Deans Democracy for America Group is almost all pro Obama.

Dean isn't fooling any of us to make us believe that he is impartial, just like Donna Brazille can hide under that false impression as well.

The bias is clear and the blatant intention hiding of it, is what really makes me mad and pisses me off.
When you intentionally hide a bias, you are trying to manipulate voters.
That way when you say something postive about a candidate, people tend to believe you. If you are already a supporter of that candidate, then people say oh okay, well hes supposed to say that.
Thats why his supporters make me sick because they parade around in fake costumes yet it's very easy to see their bias.
Look at the incident that involved lanny davis and Ron Reagan
Ron was on tele saying he wasn't biased and is neutral and was calling out Hillary at every angle.
Lanny just attacked him calling Ron a Barack stooge and they had it out on Larry King Live.

How can you say you are neutral, yet attack one candidate and say positive things about another.
This goes back to propaganda and the media not doing it's job on calling out his supporters, obama himself, and all the mess he surrounds himself with.

Instead we become the reporters and then have to dig up info on backwood internet sites, because the mm is sleeping with Barack Hussein Obama.
