Woo hoo! We're chugging right along.

It's fun and never dull, but I would like to see more new people jumping in. I've seen a few. But come on, people, speak up. More, more!

I know, we need to come up with some strategies for "expansion" and spreading the link around again so that the forum continues to grow.

We need to brand HCF. A snappy slogan would be great that we could use when we're posting at other blogs. I think we should call ourselves revolutionary in some way ... ost, that might get us in trouble with Homeland Security.

Yes, skip the "revolutionary" part!! ;)

What do you think is the HCF brand? Any thoughts?

Thanks. I am trying to post more but realize that I am in the minority here and I have thin skin.

Let me think on that. Democratic Underground and Free Republic are branded by their names, I'd say. That puts the name of this forum into question again. I know everybody likes HCF and so do I, but it could create a problem with branding because it doesn't really tell people what the forum's all about these days.

If we did ultimately go with another name, I'd be for "formerly the Hillary Clinton Forum" as a subtitle, as has already been discussion. As for Common Ground, I don't think it's snappy enough.

Does "Purple State" mean both red and blue? I've seen that around. Or maybe something like New Thought Politics. Think Again Politics. Rethinking Politics. None of those is right, but that's where my mind went.

You know, Drudge is the guy's name, right? Maybe you should just slap your name on it, lol.

You are right, in terms of marketing a general politics forum having the name of a particular politician as the forum's title makes the task much more dificult. There are pros/cons to change the name and web address.

We talked about this stuff a lot in Nov/Dec, so I might drag out some of those threads to see what we said back then.

Yes, drag out those threads!

Here are some other thoughts on a new name:

Real True Politics (has this been done?)
Free Politics (I like the double meaning)
Opinions and then some
Real People Politics
Let It All Hang Out Politics
True Believers
Where Do You stand?
Different Strokes

Just some thoughts. I rather like the idea that we're not pundits, we're real people with different opinions, talking about what matters.

Populist Politics?

This group does seem to have some populist leanings and always has. Actually, I read an OpEd recently that said if a third party did form, that's probably what it would be called.
