View Full Version : Multiple Accounts
I noticed something was up in some of the postings tonight and quickly discovered that one person has been posting under 3 different usernames to support their own arguments. That won't be tolerated.
One account only. And if you can't defend your own arguments, and need to create fake accounts to create an illusion of support, that might be evidence that the arguments hold no merit.
So this person now has only one account to use, not three.
Thank you.

HAHA Sweet Caroline. I knew something was fishy with her. Pretending to be a Democrat when she's clearly a Republican.

WTH? How bored must one be to do that shit? This is a HUGE problem on the RT forum, I mean HUGE, and the admin is a total moron and allows it.

LOL Can you imagine doing that though!
Log on to HCF. Post a thread at HCF. Log off of HCF. Register a new name. Sign back on under new name. Post in same thread. Log off of HCF again. Register AGAIN. Sign in AGAIN! Post in the same thread AGAIN. Log off and sign in under original name.
Then do it all over again! Holy F that's a lot of work! :rotfl:
It's very transparent behavior to create a fake account for the purposes of backing up the comments made in one's primary account.
So, I have closed the 2 fake accounts (you won't see any more posts from those fake accounts) and kept the person's primary account open if they wish to use it.
I can confirm that all people currently logged in are legit individuals and no fakies are posting at this minute!

There are peeps at the RT board that have up to 5 dual id's they post under. Funniest part is they think no one knows, but most everyone does. Why the admin does not boot them is beyond me. Some of them harass Rob himself when he shows up, and others just are nasty to everyone. It sooo stupid. That board needs a real admin.

It's almost like the harder someone tries to conceal the fact they have multiple accounts, the more obvious it becomes.

Okay, I have a confession to make:
UKLiberal is also me. I get so bored not having anyone to discuss Middle East politics with, I resorted to creating a new account.
I'm also in love with Barack Obama.

I've seen this problem on a few of my horse racing forums that the same person moderates and she's done nothing about it. It causes a lot of trouble.

Murray, you should feel great about yourself and the job you do that there's only one. this is such a common ploy used all over the internet that most forums are infested with those kinds of tactics.

hahah this is highly entertaining.
I will admit to having started fake accounts on other message boards in the past (music ones), but they were never designed to agree with my main account. They were always silly ones like creating "David Hasslehoff", "Chuck Norris" and "Bob Saget" and having them all argue with each other. Those little jaunts usually only lasted a day or so, but my god they were funny.
Don't worry though, I solemnly swear I have never made a second account on this board!

We have a guy on the RT forum that posts as Axl Rose, but he makes no secret that its him, so its not a big deal, and all in fun. The rest that do it there, are just WHACKED out of their ever lovin' minds and do it to stir shit.

And we are agreeing with each other a lot these days so that would make sense!

Well, since the original post was 5/1/09 and you are having to deal with this again on 5/2/10, it is going to be an annual thing? :D
