I know the title of my post is totaly off the wall, but here is the back story...
Last month during the Texas primaries, my husband (an undeniable McCain supporter), suprised me with a weekend trip to Fort Worth/ Dallas to see and volunteer for the Clinton campaign. I am one of only a handful of people in my "stuck in the past" community and family who support Hillary. I've told my husband I would go to the ends of the earth to ensure that Hillary becomes our next pres. He usually laughs and says she doesn't have a chance, but for some reason on this particular weekend he decided to support my decision to vote for Hillary. We both spent the morning in Fort Worth handing out volunteer sheets for Hillary and reminding voters to attend their precinct conventions. We also went to hear her speak in Dallas and campaigned for in the West End. (I think he a closet Hillary supporter, but won't admit it because he will be reviled by the conservatives in our town and his family.)
Anyway, long story short- He and I were standing in the back of the crowd, near the msm section, during Hillary's Fort Worth speech. We both had our volunteer tags on and were allowed access to this area. After the rally ended, as we waited for the crowd to disperse, a woman pulled my husband to the side and began asking him questions. I wasn't paying attention at this time, but he quickly pulled me over in front of her and told her she should be asking me the questions, because I was the Hillary supporter. So, she asked about why I was a Hillary supporter- I gave her my best answer about supporting her policies, respecting her immensely, and because she was an inspiration to me and all women. I can't remember the entire interview and to be honest I didn't even know it was an interview until after we were back at our truck and my husband told me that she was from Vanity Fair and was writing a piece about why men support Hillary. He told her he was only there to support me. She then asked why I felt the need to travel from OK to Texas to show my support. I told her that more than anything I wanted to stand up and show the media that Hillary has supporters that will go to great lengths for her. I then went on to say that the media is completely in Obama's pocket and referenced the last debate on NBC. (The one just before the the March 4th primaries). I told her the bias towards Hillary was appalling. Then she goes on to ask about what I think about Tim Russert's performance. I basically told her it made me sick to watch him and we no longer watch his show. She acted quite perturbed and left immediately after that and I thought nothing of it until today.
Then, as I was reading this blog-

and discovered that Tim Russert's wife works for Vanity Fair. I had to look her up-

I am 99.9% sure this was the woman that interviewed me. At least now I hope she knows that her husband is loathed by many women. If it wasn't her, I at least hope that her colleague sent my message back to him!
Sorry for the long post, but I thought you all might find it amusing.

P.S. I have been asked by the dear old hubby to change the title of my post to I Think I Was Interviewed by Tim Russert's Wife. He thinks it was her too, but doesn't want us to get into "trouble" for me posting this in a public forum. Huh? Anyway, since this story wouldn't be possible if not for him, I've agreed to add this post script stating "I Think".
