This is about a week old but I just discovered it and I thought it was hilarious!
I've never heard of this guy but he just made the top of my favorite democrats list. This guy is a democrat with a spine. That's rare.

Coincidental I should just stumble across this video...
I was wondering this morning how many Medicare critics, who have Medicare coverage themselves, would surrender it 100% TODAY? Probably none.
I wonder how many of these "critics" would be outraged if their Medicare coverage was taken away from them TODAY? Probably a lot.
So many critics. And so many hypocrites.

Medicare is going broke, and will soon fail.
Why can't we learn our lessons from past Democrat failures, and do the right thing?

It's not like if we didn't have medicare those costs wouldn't exist. They'd still exist. Except they'd be on the shoulders of employers and individuals. Many of whom have no income. In the end it would cost more without medicare.

WRONG!
Time for a new awaking, not that all will read this or they have before and just ignore the post.
1. Medicare IS NOT FREE! I have over a $100 a month taken out of my SS check. It has a $1,680 deductable should I spend a night in the hospital. Mdicare does not cover all medical treatments, YOU ARE DENIED specific health care!
2. Which prompts you to buy a "Supplement" coverage. Any idea what that is? Well, it covers some medical coverage that Medicare doesn't cover, at a cost of a little over $140 per month. A deductable of over $2,400 is required.
3. Which prompts you to buy a "Supplement Presciption" coverage. Know what this is? Covers prescriptions that Medicare does not cover, or cover reasonably.
Please, pay attention! If you need special treatment, like oxygen, oxygen machines, kidney treatments, ect., NONE OF THE ABOVE COVER IT--It's all out of pocket at your expense.
So the elderly and disabled are still responsible for those "catastrophic" illnesses--JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER POOR SCHMUCK IN THE WORLD!
Right now, I ration my meds, going to the doctor, and trust me--I'll have to be carried out feet first before I spend over 3,000 for a night in the hospital. Not to mention if I need any "special machines/medication" for life existence.
I treasure what medical insurance I have and what it covers, I'm grateful. But if any of you think, like Rep. Weiner, that it's a bed of roses--THINK AGAIN. Incidentally, this bozo has prime care and so it's easy to see the world through Pelosi's rose colored botox eyes.
Tao, Weiner is a weiner! Had some dealings with him some time back--he floats like every other politician--like a dead fish--whichever the stream is flowing.

Those costs would not be rising like that because there would be competition.
Why do we trust government when they have already failed with Medicare?

And, Social Security and Medicare did very well until they started to cover alcholics and drug users. Yup, they're under the plan as well.
SS and Medicare were moderate, but easily abused. Not one proper safehold was provided by these lackadaisy fools we have, and had in our government. Both are "broke" because no one thought it important enough to regulate.

LBJ signed Medicare into law in 1965 -- to cover half the cost of hospital insurance for recipients of Social Security. The original request was from President Harry Truman. And twenty years after his request, Harry Truman was the first person to be enrolled.
You got something against geezers???
Medicare is not arugula. You can buy arugula, try it, criticize it and surrender it to the garbage can. But doing so will not endanger your health.

Do the "Cybil impression"?? "First you're for it; then you're against it..."??? Has he MET the President?!
Since the wise Rep. Weiner has confirmed that "Medicare is a pretty good model of what a public option will look like" then I can say with more certainty that a public option looks ugly.

Bullshit... There is competition today and healthcare costs are going up for everyone. The competition has become less about how they can serve the customer best and more about how they can screw over the customer the most to achieve more profits.
