You can’t bring GUNS and stand on grassy knolls during presidential events, people! Oh, unless the grassy knolls are owned by wingnut churches, then it’s cool. Your fault if anything happens, Obama!

"Nothing odd about bringing a gun when you go to see the President. They do it all the time in Latin America." - Will McKinley

I know that what this man was doing was completely legal, but I'm sorry, having a man with a loaded weapon and a sign that says ""The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants." standing outside the President's town hall while being aware of how many death threats are made on Obama's life all the time....it makes me exceptionally uncomfortable. It's his right, but I think it was stupid and I REALLY don't like it.

Bringing a gun? Not very logical. Doesn't sound like he broke the law, though.

The more attention this gets, the better it will be for gun rights activists when this guy does not shoot Obama

Well how many were in the crowd with conceal carry? I was watching when MSNBC made such a big deal about this. It could have been anyone's private property that gave him permission to carry on their property it just happens to be a church (maybe he is a member). There are people walking in crowds with all of you everyday that have guns legally you just don't see them. I am working on the C&C although I don't necessarily want to carry I want the right to.

From what I've read, I would think none. I don't believe it's legal to conceal carry in the presence of the President.

Okay...big weapon defender me thinks this was STUPID if for no other reason than the Secret Service have absolutely no sense of humor. This guy was tring to make some point I guess and all he made was himself look stupid.
A lack of common sense crosses all political persuasions.

Whatever our politicial views may be, this is not acceptable. The Secret Service should have been all over this BEFORE BHO got off AF1. You know, I'm the first to stand for the rights of gun owners, but when the president---ANY president of the USA is due to arrive, guns have no place being there.
That's just common sense.
Here again. BHO's talks--they bring a knife; we bring a gun; sending SEIU and other unions to these townhall meetings? He isn't helping to quash violence. All of this talk from the White House and Congress is making a ticking time bomb.
