And did you notice: "Senior lecturer" (which later became, after he started running, "Professor."
[and before anyone yells, I have the webpages from U of Chicago Law School, which were um, re-issued more favorably in 2008].

In college, did you call the senior lecturers that taught you, Senior Lecturer <Last Name> or Professor <Last Name>?

You don't put what the students call you on a resume.

He was campaigning. Do you have a link to Obama's CV that shows Professor instead Senior Lecturer?

Redistribution of wealth is an important part of any fair and powerful economy.
If you truly want America to be the land of opportunity then you should be happy we have systems in place to redistribute the wealth to the people who need it most. I'm not at all ashamed Obama believes this.
And most importantly ... it's not socialism.

Land of opportunity means you have many advantages in front of you, it's up to you to do something. Doesn't mean that you should take from others which doesn't belong to you. That's not opportunity, that's letting someone else do the work.

We all do it. In interviews, parties, etc. You don't add things to spice up a story?

Not on a resume or in an interview (which is similar to campaigning). A resume should list a proper, employer-given title. To argue otherwise is just stupid. :rotfl:

As in not an economy that encourages the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer. But rather a system that encourages everyone to get richer.
Taking a little more from upper income folks does not suddenly make them not rich. They still have plenty of money and can use that money to gain an unlimited amount of extra income. But the extra money they give in taxes ensures that the poorest of the poor still has an oppertunity to fulfill the American dream.
It's not about making sure everyone has a house and a white picket fence. It's about making sure everyone has the chance through hard work to get a house and a white picket fence.
Without those protections, without welfare and without foodstamps it can be impossible for the poor to pull themselves up by the bootstraps.
Democracy is impossible without compassion.

This isn't Sherwood Forest and Obama isn't Robin Hood and this country was based on "if you want it, work for it" as witness the thousands of LEGAL immigrants that come here every year, work 22 hours a day, their kids getting straight A's and saving every penny and starting a business and working their asses off. I am not willing to give one damn penny of my money to someone who sits on their ass, hangs out on the corner, has baby after baby, quits school, fails to even get a GED or try to find a job and who trades the foodstamps my tax dollars paid for, for God knows what.
When did this country become the "neverending entitlement" place where everyone gets whatever they want without having to work for it? And even though I AM NOT A REPUBLICAN...statistics prove they give far more money to charity then do all of us bleeding heart liberals who seem to be able to only put other people's money where our mouths are. And when you have worked your ass off for at least another 20 years, we can have this discussion again (oooops...I won't have enough "life credits" to be treatment worthy under Obamacare so you might have to have this discussion with someone who is allowed to live...)

They also make less money and are more likely to donate blood.

There was an actual U Tube of Obama giving a speech where he described himself as a professor and shortly therafter, his campaign issued a retraction with an "explanation and clarification" as did Harvard who described him thereafter as a "Senior Lecturer". I remember this distinctly but am not going to go slogging through a gazillion U TUbes to prove the point. K BEntley probably knows...she remembers everything DRATS!

You sure are stuck on this resume thing. Go back to where this inane conversation started. Hobbitt said she could prove changes had been made to Obama's title on the U of C's website once Obama started campaigning.
