To clarify for those unfamiliar with AOSHQ, the title and even the text of this article are pure snark.

Mark Levin is actually interviewing Stephen A. Smith, formerly of ESPN. This man is made of awesome and I gotta tell ya...if he ever runs for any office, I'm SO there:

Sickening. Tweeted by Breitbart, sent to me by several commenters.

This is the ugly face of the festering boil that is the mixed metaphor of American racism, folks.

Brace yourselves. This is "racism straight up."

The auto embed feature may not work inside a quote (?).

Bit of a love fest. I didn't hear anything racist but maybe they were using code words I am not familiar with. :)

I had never heard of this guy. I can see where he might do alright if he decides to enter politics.

Heh. Yeah it was a bit of a love fest. lol As for the code words, well, apparently talking about the constitution and liberty is a sign of nefarious intent. ;)

But the thing here is that this gentleman voted for Obama and had supported him but sees now the direction he's taking this country and he's concerned by it. He has honest, legitimate concerns like many of us do and doubts for the same reason many of us do. Will someone dare call him out as a racist for these concerns? Jimmah Carter, perhaps?

Also interesting, he does not identify as a conservative, and yet...he articulates the core conservative principles of fiscal responsibility, transparency in leadership, freedom and prosperity for all, etc.

I think this is key. I've lost interest in discussing wedge issues...because, as the name suggests, they're meant to divide us as a people.

Instead, I think we should focus on what unites against the hard left...core issues that we can for the most part find agreement and use that as the basis for a coalition against the Pelosi/Obama/Reid group.

It's what Mr. Smith here is articulating quite well.

Spang, did you listen? This is what we have been trying to tell you all along. Is this guy a racist? NO. Neither are the rest of us saying the same things.

He's not racist but he is wrong? Universal healthcare? I can only wish.

That's the thing.

He articulates common sense views...ideals that go beyond political identity.

I think we need more people like him...people who have some measure of fame...to come out and voice these same ideas and thoughts.

Yes...he voted for Obama...but he is genuinely concerned with the direction the president is taking and he offers up reasonable responses. If I said any of that, I'd be called a racist by some. Why is that?

Truth is...I don't see a black man when I see him. His race is as relevant to me as what brand of detergent he uses.

No... what's relevant to me is his policies. When I see Obama, I see Nancy Pelosi in a suit. *shudders* ;)

With Bush's grin.
