Great pictures! Thank you for sharing those. I loved the signs and cracked up with several, including the one "Hardball needs a tingle up the cerebral cortex" lol The Eleanor Roosevelt quote was spot on too! And the "problematic white woman" was also great. Heck, they were all great!

BTW, I belong to an online writers group and I've posted my feelings regarding the Elton John comment and the misogyny shown toward Hillary in no uncertain terms. Someone tried to compare the ageism slings and slings regarding McCain's supposed affair and I replied that ageism is wrong, but that what he's endured is trivial compared to all the hate-filled comments, pics, cartoons, etc. Hillary has endured from day one.

EDIT: I'm taking some heat for my stance and am being accused of promoting ageism, sexism and racism because I have a strong opinion that Hillary has taken MORE THAN HER SHARE of slings and arrows--much more than any other candidate--and those slings and arrows are misogynistic. *scratching head*

Hard to say as the crowd changed over time dependeing on how long people could stay. I would say 100+ participated in the protest over the duration of the 2.5 period we were active. Some people were still arriving when we decided to close up - we wanted to end on a good note rather than wait until everyone had to leave & some of us were very tired by that point!! And in addition to this we had a petition which 165 people passing by signed.

I kind of figured the media wouldn't give a lot of coverage, it would like be reporting on themselves, unfavourably. Now there are maybe a few in the media who might cover it.

Hi All,

I posted my piece about Friday's NYC media protest on my blog. I found the event positive and was glad to connect in person with other supporters and bloggers who share my concerns about this issue, one of the main reasons I began blogging.

The last protest I attended was the big NYC peace march (was that last summer or the previous one?) Lately I've been feeling so upset about Hillary's mistreatment by the media that I had to attend today, easily falling into the role of protester rather than blogger. After only three hours of sleep, I arrived at about 830am and took several initial photos, but then hurried to take my place inside the barriers, talked, chanted our slogans, and was given a sign to hold (thanks.) I didn't even think to do interviews, or take notes, so my reporting is short, sweet, and subjective.

I also have another new post about the DNC's event "partybuilder" section on their website, where a poster is organizing a national Obama rally.

Thank you all for all you do! After talking with others today who's had a positive phone bank experience, I decided I'll try again.
