I just wanted to let everyone know that this campaign WILL go on to the great state of Pennsylvania. I was just at an event here in Bucks County yesterday morning. At 10am on a Saturday, they packed a room in the municple complex of Richboro with people wanting to volunteer. They had delegates from all over the county there and Denene Wambach who is a deputy in the campaign. She's from this area and said she'd been to Nevada and California and had just gotten back from Texas and Ohio where she said "Things are going SOO WELL" I'm telling you, this was amazing to be a part of. People signed up to house organizers when they come in next week. They have two offices right now that opened yesterday, one in South Philly and one in Pittsburgh. And they are going to be opening an office in Bucks County. Our congressman here, Patrick Murphy, just last week endorsed Barack Obama. Two years ago, both Bill and Hillary came to small Bristol Borough to campaign and fund raise for him. He should be ashamed of himself. But what we're trying to show is that Hillary will win HUGE in Bucks County (which she will) to send him a message that he made a BIG mistake.
The crowd was mostly made up of older people, men and women, but a few young people were there too. And man, Hillary has a lot of PASSIONATE supporters!! The discussion was heated, ranging from the media bias, to sexism, to how she should have defined her Iraq vote better. But I left there so freaking energized it was incredible!! I took signs, pins and stickers for my family and friends. I live in an apt but I took a lawn sign for my parents and this morning my dad said "Brooke, take your sign" I said "You don't want it?" He goes "It does no good here in NJ, she already won here" LOL. He had a point but I don't have a lawn!
Anyway, I just wanted to try to let everyone know about the positive energy going on here and that lots of people are feeling good about Tuesday. I figure they wouldn't be so quick to mobilize here if things were looking grim, right?
This whole experience for me personally is incredible and very emotional. I have been on this journey with Bill and Hillary for 16 years and that no matter what I've done in my life, it always comes back to them and my passion for politics has been rooted in it. Not to mention my enormous faith in that everything is going to be okay. And that I don't believe God would send me down on this emotional trip down memory lane for nothing. That there's meaning to it all.
There's also a personal significance to April 22nd being our primary (that I can't really get into) but I have reason to believe it's a good omen.
I'm keeping the faith and doing everything I can to help.
